- 집과 재물은 조상에게서 물려받은 유산이지만, 슬기로운 아내는 주님께서 주신다.
- 게으른 사람은 깊은 잠에 빠지고, 나태한 사람은 굶주릴 것이다.
- 계명을 지키는 사람은 제 목숨을 지키지만, 자기 행실을 주의하지 않는 사람은 죽는다.
- 가난한 사람에게 은혜를 베푸는 것은 주님께 꾸어드리는 것이니, 주님께서 그 선행을 넉넉하게 갚아 주신다.
