- 향락을 좋아하는 사람은 가난하게 되고, 술과 기름을 좋아하는 사람도 부자가 되지 못한다.
- 악인은 의로운 사람 대신에 치르는 몸값이 되고, 사기꾼은 정직한 사람 대신에 치르는 몸값이 된다.
- 다투며 성내는 아내와 함께 사는 것보다, 광야에서 혼자 사는 것이 더 낫다.
