- 슬기로운 사람은 재앙을 보면 숨고 피하지만, 어수룩한 사람은 고집을 부리고 나아가다가 화를 입는다.
- 겸손한 사람과 주님을 경외하는 사람이 받을 보상은 재산과 영예와 장수이다.
- 마음이 비뚤어진 사람의 길에는 가시와 올무가 있으나, 자기 영혼을 지키는 사람은 그런 길을 멀리한다.
