- For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, But the wicked stumble in time of calamity.
- Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles;
- Or the LORD will see it and be displeased, And turn His anger away from him.
- Do not fret because of evildoers Or be envious of the wicked;
- For there will be no future for the evil man; The lamp of the wicked will be put out.

- 의인은 일곱 번을 넘어지더라도 다시 일어나지만, 악인은 재앙을 만나면 망한다.
- 원수가 넘어질 때에 즐거워하지 말고, 그가 걸려서 쓰러질 때에 마음에 기뻐하지 말아라.
- 주님께서 이것을 보시고 좋지 않게 여기셔서, 그 노여움을 너의 원수로부터 너에게로 돌이키실까 두렵다.
- 행악자 때문에 분개하지도 말고, 악인을 시기하지도 말아라.
- 행악자에게는 장래가 없고, 악인의 등불은 꺼지고 만다.

- My son, fear the LORD and the king; Do not associate with those who are given to change,
- For their calamity will rise suddenly, And who knows the ruin that comes from both of them?

- 내 아이들아, 주님과 왕을 경외하고, 변절자들과 사귀지 말아라.
- 그들이 받을 재앙은 갑자기 일어나는 것이니, 주님이나 왕이 일으킬 재난을 누가 알겠느냐?
