아모스 7:1-8:14

 아모스는 황충, 불, 다림줄 환상에 이어 여름 실과의 환상을 보았다. 황충과 불의 환상은 북이스라엘의 멸망과 하나님의 심판에 대한 경고를, 다림줄과 여름 실과의 환상은 회개치 않은 북이스라엘에 대한 하나님의 심판이 확정되었음을 보여 주는 것이었다. 아모스는 심판의 날에는 절망적인 애곡과 하나님의 말씀에 대한 극심한 영적 기갈이 있을 것이라고 예언하였다.
  
  아모스의 환상(7:1-8:14)    
 
  1. Thus the Lord GOD showed me, and behold, He was forming a locust-swarm when the spring crop began to sprout. And behold, the spring crop was after the king's mowing.
  2. And it came about, when it had finished eating the vegetation of the land, that I said, "Lord GOD, please pardon! How can Jacob stand, For he is small?"
  3. The LORD changed His mind about this. "It shall not be," said the LORD.
  4. Thus the Lord GOD showed me, and behold, the Lord GOD was calling to contend with them by fire, and it consumed the great deep and began to consume the farm land.
  5. Then I said, "Lord GOD, please stop! How can Jacob stand, for he is small?"
  1. 주 하나님이 나에게 다음과 같은 것을 보여 주셨다. 주님께서 재앙에 쓰실 메뚜기 떼를 만드신다. 두벌갈이의 씨가 움돋을 때, 곧 왕에게 바치는 곡식을 거두고 나서, 다시 두 번째 뿌린 씨가 움돋을 때이다.
  2. 메뚜기 떼가 땅 위의 푸른 풀을 모두 먹어 버리는 것을 내가 보고서 "주 하나님, 용서하여 주십시오! 야곱이 어떻게 견디어 낼 수 있겠습니까? 그는 너무 어립니다" 하고 간청하니,
  3. 주님께서 이에 대하여 뜻을 돌이키셨다. 그리고 주님께서 말씀하셨다. "이것이 이루어지지 않게 하겠다."
  4. 주 하나님이 나에게 다음과 같은 것을 보여 주셨다. 보니, 주 하나님이 불을 불러서 징벌하신다. 그 불이 깊이 흐르는 지하수를 말리고, 농경지를 살라 버린다.
  5. 이 때에 내가 "주 하나님, 그쳐 주십시오! 야곱이 어떻게 견디어 낼 수 있겠습니까? 그는 너무 어립니다" 하고 간청하니,
  1. The LORD changed His mind about this. "This too shall not be," said the Lord GOD.
  2. Thus He showed me, and behold, the Lord was standing by a vertical wall with a plumb line in His hand.
  3. The LORD said to me, "What do you see, Amos?" And I said, "A plumb line " Then the Lord said, "Behold I am about to put a plumb line In the midst of My people Israel I will spare them no longer.
  4. "The high places of Isaac will be desolated And the sanctuaries of Israel laid waste Then I will rise up against the house of Jeroboam with the sword."
  5. Then Amaziah, the priest of Bethel, sent word to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, "Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel; the land is unable to endure all his words.
  1. 주님께서 이에 대하여 뜻을 돌이키셨다. 그리고 주 하나님이 말씀하셨다. "이것도 이루어지지 않게 하겠다."
  2. 주님께서 나에게 다음과 같은 것을 보여 주셨다. 다림줄을 드리우고 쌓은 성벽 곁에 주님께서 서 계시는데 손에 다림줄이 들려 있었다.
  3. 주님께서 나에게 "아모스야, 네가 무엇을 보느냐?" 하고 물으시기에, 내가 대답하기를 "다림줄입니다" 하니, 주님께서 선언하신다. "내가 나의 백성 이스라엘의 한가운데, 다림줄을 드리워 놓겠다. 내가 이스라엘을 다시는 용서하지 않겠다.
  4. 이삭의 산당들은 황폐해지고 이스라엘의 성소들은 파괴될 것이다. 내가 칼을 들고 일어나서 여로보암의 나라를 치겠다."
  5. 베델의 아마샤 제사장이 이스라엘의 여로보암 왕에게 사람을 보내서 알렸다. "아모스가 이스라엘 나라 한가운데서 임금님께 대한 반란을 선동하고 있습니다. 그가 하는 모든 말을 이 나라가 더 이상 참을 수 없습니다.
  1. "For thus Amos says, 'Jeroboam will die by the sword and Israel will certainly go from its land into exile.'"
  2. Then Amaziah said to Amos, "Go, you seer, flee away to the land of Judah and there eat bread and there do your prophesying!
  3. "But no longer prophesy at Bethel, for it is a sanctuary of the king and a royal residence."
  4. Then Amos replied to Amaziah, "I am not a prophet, nor am I the son of a prophet; for I am a herdsman and a grower of sycamore figs.
  5. "But the LORD took me from following the flock and the LORD said to me, 'Go prophesy to My people Israel.'
  1. 아모스는 '여로보암은 칼에 찔려 죽고, 이스라엘 백성은 틀림없이 사로잡혀서, 그 살던 땅에서 떠나게 될 것이다' 하고 말합니다."
  2. 아마샤는 아모스에게도 말하였다. "선견자는, 여기를 떠나시오! 유다 땅으로 피해서, 거기에서나 예언을 하면서, 밥벌이를 하시오.
  3. 다시는 베델에 나타나서 예언을 하지 마시오. 이 곳은 임금님의 성소요, 왕실이오."
  4. 아모스가 아마샤에게 대답하였다. "나는 예언자도 아니고, 예언자의 제자도 아니오. 나는 집짐승을 먹이며, 돌무화과를 가꾸는 사람이오.
  5. 그러나 주님께서 나를 양 떼를 몰던 곳에서 붙잡아 내셔서, 주님의 백성 이스라엘에게로 가서 예언하라고 명하셨소.
  1. "Now hear the word of the LORD: you are saying, 'You shall not prophesy against Israel nor shall you speak against the house of Isaac.'
  2. "Therefore, thus says the LORD, 'Your wife will become a harlot in the city, your sons and your daughters will fall by the sword, your land will be parceled up by a measuring line and you yourself will die upon unclean soil. Moreover, Israel will certainly go from its land into exile.'"
  1. 이제 그대는, 주님께서 하시는 말씀을 들으시오. 그대는 나더러 '이스라엘을 치는 예언을 하지 말고, 이삭의 집을 치는 설교를 하지 말라'고 말하였소.
  2. 그대가 바로 그런 말을 하였기 때문에, 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하시오. '네 아내는 이 도성에서 창녀가 되고, 네 아들딸은 칼에 찔려 죽고, 네 땅은 남들이 측량하여 나누어 차지하고, 너는 사로잡혀 간 그 더러운 땅에서 죽을 것이다. 이스라엘 백성은 꼼짝없이 사로잡혀 제가 살던 땅에서 떠날 것이다.'"
 
 
  1. Thus the Lord GOD showed me, and behold, there was a basket of summer fruit.
  2. He said, "What do you see, Amos?" And I said, "A basket of summer fruit " Then the LORD said to me, "The end has come for My people Israel I will spare them no longer.
  3. "The songs of the palace will turn to wailing in that day," declares the Lord GOD "Many will be the corpses; in every place they will cast them forth in silence."
  4. Hear this, you who trample the needy, to do away with the humble of the land,
  5. saying, "When will the new moon be over, So that we may sell grain, And the sabbath, that we may open the wheat market, To make the bushel smaller and the shekel bigger, And to cheat with dishonest scales,
  1. 주 하나님이 나에게 다음과 같은 것을 보여 주셨다. 보니, 여름 과일 한 광주리가 있었다.
  2. 주님께서 물으신다. "아모스야, 네가 무엇을 보느냐?" 내가 대답하였다. "여름 과일 한 광주리입니다." 주님께서 나에게 말씀하신다. "나의 백성 이스라엘이 끝장났다. 내가 이스라엘을 다시는 용서하지 않겠다.
  3. 그 날이 오면, 궁궐에서 부르는 노래가 통곡으로 바뀔 것이다." 주 하나님이 하시는 말씀이다. "수많은 시체가 온 땅에 널리고, 아무 소리도 들리지 않을 것이다."
  4. 빈궁한 사람들을 짓밟고, 이 땅의 가난한 사람을 망하게 하는 자들아, 이 말을 들어라!
  5. 기껏 한다는 말이, "초하루 축제가 언제 지나서, 우리가 곡식을 팔 수 있을까? 안식일이 언제 지나서, 우리가 밀을 낼 수 있을까? 되는 줄이고, 추는 늘이면서, 가짜 저울로 속이자.
  1. So as to buy the helpless for money And the needy for a pair of sandals, And that we may sell the refuse of the wheat?"
  2. The LORD has sworn by the pride of Jacob, "Indeed, I will never forget any of their deeds.
  3. "Because of this will not the land quake And everyone who dwells in it mourn? Indeed, all of it will rise up like the Nile, And it will be tossed about And subside like the Nile of Egypt.
  4. "It will come about in that day," declares the Lord GOD, "That I will make the sun go down at noon And make the earth dark in broad daylight.
  5. "Then I will turn your festivals into mourning And all your songs into lamentation; And I will bring sackcloth on everyone's loins And baldness on every head And I will make it like a time of mourning for an only son, And the end of it will be like a bitter day.
  1. 헐값에 가난한 사람들을 사고 신 한 켤레 값으로 빈궁한 사람들을 사자. 찌꺼기 밀까지도 팔아먹자" 하는구나.
  2. 주님께서 야곱의 자랑을 걸고 맹세하신다. "그들이 한 일 그 어느 것도 내가 두고두고 잊지 않겠다.
  3. 그들이 이렇게 죄를 지었는데, 어찌 땅이 지진을 일으키지 않겠으며, 어찌 땅 위에 사는 자들이 모두 통곡을 하지 않겠느냐? 온 땅이 강물처럼 솟아오르다가, 이집트의 강물처럼 불어나다가, 가라앉지 않겠느냐?
  4. 나 주 하나님이 하는 말이다. 그 날에는 내가 대낮에 해가 지게 하고, 한낮에 땅을 캄캄하게 하겠다.
  5. 내가 너희의 모든 절기를 통곡으로 바꾸어 놓고, 너희의 모든 노래를 만가로 바꾸어 놓겠다. 내가 모든 사람에게 굵은 베 옷을 입히고, 머리를 모두 밀어서 대머리가 되게 하겠다. 그래서 모두들 외아들을 잃은 것처럼 통곡하게 하고, 그 마지막이 비통한 날이 되게 하겠다.
  1. "Behold, days are coming," declares the Lord GOD, "When I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine for bread or a thirst for water, But rather for hearing the words of the LORD.
  2. "People will stagger from sea to sea And from the north even to the east; They will go to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, But they will not find it.
  3. "In that day the beautiful virgins And the young men will faint from thirst.
  4. "As for those who swear by the guilt of Samaria, Who say, 'As your god lives, O Dan,' And, 'As the way of Beersheba lives,' They will fall and not rise again."
  1. 그 날이 온다. 나 주 하나님이 하는 말이다. 내가 이 땅에 기근을 보내겠다. 사람들이 배고파 하겠지만, 그것은 밥이 없어서 겪는 배고픔이 아니다. 사람들이 목말라 하겠지만, 그것은 물이 없어서 겪는 목마름이 아니다. 주의 말씀을 듣지 못하여서, 사람들이 굶주리고 목말라 할 것이다.
  2. 그 때에는 사람들이 주의 말씀을 찾으려고 이 바다에서 저 바다로 헤매고, 북쪽에서 동쪽으로 떠돌아다녀도, 그 말씀을 찾지 못할 것이다.
  3. 그 날에는 아름다운 처녀들과 젊은 총각들이 목이 말라서 지쳐 쓰러질 것이다.
  4. 사마리아의 부끄러운 우상을 의지하고 맹세하는 자들, '단아, 너의 신이 살아 있다', '브엘세바야, 너의 신이 살아 있다' 하고 맹세하는 자들은 쓰러져서 다시는 일어나지 못할 것이다."

  잿밀( 8:6)  밀이 땅에 떨어진 것, 또는 체에서 떨어진 쭉정이
