- Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
- "Tell the sons of Israel to raise a contribution for Me; from every man whose heart moves him you shall raise My contribution.
- "This is the contribution which you are to raise from them: gold, silver and bronze,
- blue, purple and scarlet material, fine linen, goat hair,
- rams' skins dyed red, porpoise skins, acacia wood,

- The LORD said to Moses,
- "Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from each man whose heart prompts him to give.
- These are the offerings you are to receive from them: gold, silver and bronze;
- blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair;
- ram skins dyed red and hides of sea cows ; acacia wood;

- oil for lighting, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense,
- onyx stones and setting stones for the ephod and for the breastpiece.
- "Let them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them.
- "According to all that I am going to show you, as the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furniture, just so you shall construct it.
- "They shall construct an ark of acacia wood two and a half cubits long, and one and a half cubits wide, and one and a half cubits high.

- olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;
- and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.
- "Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them.
- Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.
- "Have them make a chest of acacia wood--two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.

- "You shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and out you shall overlay it, and you shall make a gold molding around it.
- "You shall cast four gold rings for it and fasten them on its four feet, and two rings shall be on one side of it and two rings on the other side of it.
- "You shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
- "You shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry the ark with them.
- "The poles shall remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be removed from it.

- Overlay it with pure gold, both inside and out, and make a gold molding around it.
- Cast four gold rings for it and fasten them to its four feet, with two rings on one side and two rings on the other.
- Then make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
- Insert the poles into the rings on the sides of the chest to carry it.
- The poles are to remain in the rings of this ark; they are not to be removed.

- "You shall put into the ark the testimony which I shall give you.
- "You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and one and a half cubits wide.
- "You shall make two cherubim of gold, make them of hammered work at the two ends of the mercy seat.
- "Make one cherub at one end and one cherub at the other end; you shall make the cherubim of one piece with the mercy seat at its two ends.
- "The cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings and facing one another; the faces of the cherubim are to be turned toward the mercy seat.

- Then put in the ark the Testimony, which I will give you.
- "Make an atonement cover of pure gold--two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.
- And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover.
- Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends.
- The cherubim are to have their wings spread upward, overshadowing the cover with them. The cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the cover.

- "You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony which I will give to you.
- "There I will meet with you; and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak to you about all that I will give you in commandment for the sons of Israel.
- "You shall make a table of acacia wood, two cubits long and one cubit wide and one and a half cubits high.
- "You shall overlay it with pure gold and make a gold border around it.
- "You shall make for it a rim of a handbreadth around it; and you shall make a gold border for the rim around it.

- Place the cover on top of the ark and put in the ark the Testimony, which I will give you.
- There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the Testimony, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites.
- "Make a table of acacia wood--two cubits long, a cubit wide and a cubit and a half high.
- Overlay it with pure gold and make a gold molding around it.
- Also make around it a rim a handbreadth wide and put a gold molding on the rim.

- "You shall make four gold rings for it and put rings on the four corners which are on its four feet.
- "The rings shall be close to the rim as holders for the poles to carry the table.
- "You shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, so that with them the table may be carried.
- "You shall make its dishes and its pans and its jars and its bowls with which to pour drink offerings; you shall make them of pure gold.
- "You shall set the bread of the Presence on the table before Me at all times.

- Make four gold rings for the table and fasten them to the four corners, where the four legs are.
- The rings are to be close to the rim to hold the poles used in carrying the table.
- Make the poles of acacia wood, overlay them with gold and carry the table with them.
- And make its plates and dishes of pure gold, as well as its pitchers and bowls for the pouring out of offerings.
- Put the bread of the Presence on this table to be before me at all times.

- "Then you shall make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand and its base and its shaft are to be made of hammered work; its cups, its bulbs and its flowers shall be of one piece with it.
- "Six branches shall go out from its sides; three branches of the lampstand from its one side and three branches of the lampstand from its other side.
- "Three cups shall be shaped like almond blossoms in the one branch, a bulb and a flower, and three cups shaped like almond blossoms in the other branch, a bulb and a flower--so for six branches going out from the lampstand;
- and in the lampstand four cups shaped like almond blossoms, its bulbs and its flowers.
- "A bulb shall be under the first pair of branches coming out of it, and a bulb under the second pair of branches coming out of it, and a bulb under the third pair of branches coming out of it, for the six branches coming out of the lampstand.

- "Make a lampstand of pure gold and hammer it out, base and shaft; its flowerlike cups, buds and blossoms shall be of one piece with it.
- Six branches are to extend from the sides of the lampstand--three on one side and three on the other.
- Three cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms are to be on one branch, three on the next branch, and the same for all six branches extending from the lampstand.
- And on the lampstand there are to be four cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms.
- One bud shall be under the first pair of branches extending from the lampstand, a second bud under the second pair, and a third bud under the third pair--six branches in all.

- "Their bulbs and their branches shall be of one piece with it; all of it shall be one piece of hammered work of pure gold.
- "Then you shall make its lamps seven in number; and they shall mount its lamps so as to shed light on the space in front of it.
- "Its snuffers and their trays shall be of pure gold.
- "It shall be made from a talent of pure gold, with all these utensils.
- "See that you make them after the pattern for them, which was shown to you on the mountain.

- The buds and branches shall all be of one piece with the lampstand, hammered out of pure gold.
- "Then make its seven lamps and set them up on it so that they light the space in front of it.
- Its wick trimmers and trays are to be of pure gold.
- A talent of pure gold is to be used for the lampstand and all these accessories.
- See that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.
