  1. Then He told them a parable: "Behold the fig tree and all the trees;
  2. as soon as they put forth leaves, you see it and know for yourselves that summer is now near.
  3. "So you also, when you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near.
  4. "Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all things take place.
  5. "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
  1. He told them this parable: "Look at the fig tree and all the trees.
  2. When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near.
  3. Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near.
  4. "I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
  5. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
  1. "Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap;
  2. for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth.
  3. "But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man."
  4. Now during the day He was teaching in the temple, but at evening He would go out and spend the night on the mount that is called Olivet.
  5. And all the people would get up early in the morning to come to Him in the temple to listen to Him.
  1. "Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap.
  2. For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth.
  3. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man."
  4. Each day Jesus was teaching at the temple, and each evening he went out to spend the night on the hill called the Mount of Olives,
  5. and all the people came early in the morning to hear him at the temple.

  4. And he went away and discussed with the chief priests and officers how he might betray Him to them.
  5. They were glad and agreed to give him money.

  3. And Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and prepare the Passover for us, so that we may eat it."
  4. They said to Him, "Where do You want us to prepare it?"
  5. And He said to them, "When you have entered the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house that he enters.
