  1. Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour.
  2. They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us.
  3. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know.
  4. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie is of the truth.
  5. Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.
  1. Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.
  2. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.
  3. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.
  4. I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth.
  5. Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist--he denies the Father and the Son.
  1. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also.
  2. As for you, let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.
  3. This is the promise which He Himself made to us: eternal life.
  4. These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you.
  5. As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.
  1. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
  2. See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.
  3. And this is what he promised us--even eternal life.
  4. I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray.
  5. As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit--just as it has taught you, remain in him.
  1. Now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming.
  2. If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone also who practices righteousness is born of Him.
  1. And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.
  2. If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him.

  1. See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
  2. Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.
  3. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
  4. Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.
  5. You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin.
  1. How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
  2. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears,we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
  3. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.
  4. Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.
  5. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.
  1. No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him.
  1. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.
