  1. Now one of the Pharisees was requesting Him to dine with him, and He entered the Pharisee's house and reclined at the table.
  2. And there was a woman in the city who was a sinner; and when she learned that He was reclining at the table in the Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster vial of perfume,
  3. and standing behind Him at His feet, weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears, and kept wiping them with the hair of her head, and kissing His feet and anointing them with the perfume.
  4. Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he said to himself, "If this man were a prophet He would know who and what sort of person this woman is who is touching Him, that she is a sinner."
  5. And Jesus answered him, "Simon, I have something to say to you." And he replied, "Say it, Teacher."
  1. And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.
  2. And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
  3. And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
  4. Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
  5. And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
  1. "A moneylender had two debtors: one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.
  2. "When they were unable to repay, he graciously forgave them both. So which of them will love him more?"
  3. Simon answered and said, "I suppose the one whom he forgave more." And He said to him, "You have judged correctly."
  4. Turning toward the woman, He said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.
  5. "You gave Me no kiss; but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss My feet.
  1. There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
  2. And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
  3. Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
  4. And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
  5. Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
  1. "You did not anoint My head with oil, but she anointed My feet with perfume.
  2. "For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little."
  3. Then He said to her, "Your sins have been forgiven."
  4. Those who were reclining at the table with Him began to say to themselves, "Who is this man who even forgives sins?"
  5. And He said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."
  1. My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
  2. Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
  3. And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
  4. And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
  5. And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

  1. Soon afterwards, He began going around from one city and village to another, proclaiming and preaching the kingdom of God. The twelve were with Him,
  2. and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and sicknesses: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,
  3. and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others who were contributing to their support out of their private means.
  1. And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,
  2. And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,
  3. And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.
