  1. We have sinned like our fathers, We have committed iniquity, we have behaved wickedly.
  2. Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your wonders; They did not remember Your abundant kindnesses, But rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea.
  3. Nevertheless He saved them for the sake of His name, That He might make His power known.
  4. Thus He rebuked the Red Sea and it dried up, And He led them through the deeps, as through the wilderness.
  5. So He saved them from the hand of the one who hated them, And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
  1. We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.
  2. Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.
  3. Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.
  4. He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.
  5. And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
  1. The waters covered their adversaries; Not one of them was left.
  2. Then they believed His words; They sang His praise.
  3. They quickly forgot His works; They did not wait for His counsel,
  4. But craved intensely in the wilderness, And tempted God in the desert.
  5. So He gave them their request, But sent a wasting disease among them.
  1. And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.
  2. Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.
  3. They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel:
  4. But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.
  5. And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.
