  1. Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
  2. by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,
  3. and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
  4. let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
  5. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;
  1. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
  2. By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
  3. And having an high priest over the house of God;
  4. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
  5. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
  1. and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,
  2. not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
  3. For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
  4. but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES.
  5. Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
  1. And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
  2. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
  3. For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
  4. But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
  5. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
  1. How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
  2. For we know Him who said, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY " And again, "THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE."
  3. It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
  4. But remember the former days, when, after being enlightened, you endured a great conflict of sufferings,
  5. partly by being made a public spectacle through reproaches and tribulations, and partly by becoming sharers with those who were so treated.
  1. Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
  2. For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
  3. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
  4. But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
  5. Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
  1. For you showed sympathy to the prisoners and accepted joyfully the seizure of your property, knowing that you have for yourselves a better possession and a lasting one.
  2. Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.
  3. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.
  4. FOR YET IN A VERY LITTLE WHILE, HE WHO IS COMING WILL COME, AND WILL NOT DELAY.
  5. BUT MY RIGHTEOUS ONE SHALL LIVE BY FAITH; AND IF HE SHRINKS BACK, MY SOUL HAS NO PLEASURE IN HIM.
  1. For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
  2. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
  3. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
  4. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
  5. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
  1. But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul.
  1. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
