- As they approached Jerusalem, at Bethphage and Bethany, near the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples,
- and said to them, "Go into the village opposite you, and immediately as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, on which no one yet has ever sat; untie it and bring it here.
- "If anyone says to you, 'Why are you doing this?' you say, 'The Lord has need of it'; and immediately he will send it back here."
- They went away and found a colt tied at the door, outside in the street; and they untied it.
- Some of the bystanders were saying to them, "What are you doing, untying the colt?"

- さて， 彼らが エルサレム の 近くに 來て， オリ ― ブ 山のふもとの ベテパゲ と ベタニヤ に 近づいたとき， イエス はふたりの 弟子を 使いに 出して，
- 言われた． 「向こうの 村へ 行きなさい． 村にはいるとすぐ， まだだれも 乘ったことのない， ろばの 子が， つないであるのに 氣がつくでしょう． それをほどいて， 引いて 來なさい．
- もし， 『なぜそんなことをするのか． 』と 言う 人があったら， 『主がお 入用なのです． すぐに， またここに 送り 返されます． 』と 言いなさい． 」
- そこで， 出かけて 見ると， 表通りにある 家の 戶口に， ろばの 子が 一匹つないであったので， それをほどいた．
- すると， そこに 立っていた 何人かが 言った． 「ろばの 子をほどいたりして， どうするのですか． 」

- They spoke to them just as Jesus had told them, and they gave them permission.
- They brought the colt to Jesus and put their coats on it; and He sat on it.
- And many spread their coats in the road, and others spread leafy branches which they had cut from the fields.
- Those who went in front and those who followed were shouting: "Hosanna! BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD;
- Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David; Hosanna in the highest!"

- 弟子たちが， イエス の 言われたとおりを 話すと， 彼らは 許してくれた．
- そこで， ろばの 子を イエス のところへ 引いて 行って， 自分たちの 上着をその 上に 掛けた． イエス はそれに 乘られた．
- すると， 多くの 人が， 自分たちの 上着を 道に 敷き， またほかの 人¿は， 木の 葉を 枝ごと 野原から 切って 來て， 道に 敷いた．
- そして， 前を 行く 者も， あとに 從う 者も， 叫んでいた． 「ホサナ ． 祝福あれ． 主の 御名によって 來られる 方に．
- 祝福あれ． いま 來た， われらの 父 ダビデ の 國に． ホサナ ． いと 高き 所に． 」

- Jesus entered Jerusalem and came into the temple; and after looking around at everything, He left for Bethany with the twelve, since it was already late.
- On the next day, when they had left Bethany, He became hungry.
- Seeing at a distance a fig tree in leaf, He went to see if perhaps He would find anything on it; and when He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.
- He said to it, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again!" And His disciples were listening.
- Then they came to Jerusalem. And He entered the temple and began to drive out those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves;

- こうして， イエス は エルサレム に 着き， 宮にはいられた． そして， すべてを 見て 回った 後， 時間ももうおそかったので， 十二弟子といっしょに ベタニヤ に 出て 行かれた．
- 翌日， 彼らが ベタニヤ を 出たとき， イエス は 空腹を 覺えられた．
- 葉の 茂ったいちじくの 木が 遠くに 見えたので， それに 何かありはしないかと 見に 行かれたが， そこに 來ると， 葉のほかは 何もないのに 氣づかれた． いちじくのなる 季節ではなかったからである．
- イエス は， その 木に 向かって 言われた． 「今後， いつまでも， だれもおまえの 實を 食べることのないように． 」弟子たちはこれを 聞いていた．
- それから， 彼らは エルサレム に 着いた． イエス は 宮にはいり， 宮の 中で 賣り 買いしている 人¿を 追い 出し 始め， 兩替人の 台や， 鳩を 賣る 者たちの 腰掛けを 倒し，

- and He would not permit anyone to carry merchandise through the temple.
- And He began to teach and say to them, "Is it not written, 'MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR ALL THE NATIONS'? But you have made it a ROBBERS' DEN."
- The chief priests and the scribes heard this, and began seeking how to destroy Him; for they were afraid of Him, for the whole crowd was astonished at His teaching.
- When evening came, they would go out of the city.
- As they were passing by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots up.

- また 宮を 通り 拔けて 器具を 運ぶことをだれにもお 許しにならなかった．
- そして， 彼らに 敎えて 言われた． 「『わたしの 家は， すべての 民の 祈りの 家と 呼ばれる． 』と 書いてあるではありませんか． それなのに， あなたがたはそれを 强盜の 巢にしたのです． 」
- 祭司長， 律法學者たちは 聞いて， どのようにして イエス を 殺そうかと 相談した． イエス を 恐れたからであった． なぜなら， 群衆がみな イエス の 敎えに 驚嘆していたからである．
- 夕方になると， イエス とその 弟子たちは， いつも 都から 外に 出た．
- 朝早く， 通りがかりに 見ると， いちじくの 木が 根まで 枯れていた．

- Being reminded, Peter said to Him, "Rabbi, look, the fig tree which You cursed has withered."
- And Jesus answered saying to them, "Have faith in God.
- "Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him.
- "Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.
- "Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions.

- ペテロ は 思い 出して， イエス に 言った． 「先生． ご 覽なさい． あなたののろわれたいちじくの 木が 枯れました． 」
- イエス は 答えて 言われた． 「神を 信じなさい．
- まことに， あなたがたに 告げます． だれでも， この 山に 向かって， 『動いて， 海にはいれ． 』と 言って， 心の 中で 疑わず， ただ， 自分の 言ったとおりになると 信じるなら， そのとおりになります．
- だからあなたがたに 言うのです． 祈って 求めるものは 何でも， すでに 受けたと 信じなさい． そうすれば， そのとおりになります．
- また 立って 祈っているとき， だれかに 對して 恨み 事があったら， 赦してやりなさい． そうすれば， 天におられるあなたがたの 父も， あなたがたの 罪を 赦してくださいます． 」
