- After these things Jesus was walking in Galilee, for He was unwilling to walk in Judea because the Jews were seeking to kill Him.
- Now the feast of the Jews, the Feast of Booths, was near.
- Therefore His brothers said to Him, "Leave here and go into Judea, so that Your disciples also may see Your works which You are doing.
- "For no one does anything in secret when he himself seeks to be known publicly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world."
- For not even His brothers were believing in Him.

- その 後， イエス は ガリラヤ を 巡っておられた． それは， ユダヤ 人たちが イエス を 殺そうとしていたので， ユダヤ を 巡りたいとは 思われなかったからである．
- さて， 假庵の 祭りという ユダヤ 人の 祝いが 近づいていた．
- そこで， イエス の 兄弟たちは イエス に 向かって 言った． 「あなたの 弟子たちもあなたがしているわざを 見ることができるように， ここを 去って ユダヤ に 行きなさい．
- 自分から 公の 場に 出たいと 思いながら， 隱れた 所で 事を 行なう 者はありません． あなたがこれらの 事を 行なうのなら， 自分を 世に 現わしなさい． 」
- 兄弟たちも イエス を 信じていなかったのである．

- So Jesus said to them, "My time is not yet here, but your time is always opportune.
- "The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it, that its deeds are evil.
- "Go up to the feast yourselves; I do not go up to this feast because My time has not yet fully come."
- Having said these things to them, He stayed in Galilee.
- But when His brothers had gone up to the feast, then He Himself also went up, not publicly, but as if, in secret.

- そこで イエス は 彼らに 言われた． 「わたしの 時はまだ 來ていません． しかし， あなたがたの 時はいつでも 來ているのです．
- 世はあなたがたを 憎むことはできません． しかしわたしを 憎んでいます． わたしが， 世について， その 行ないが 惡いことをあかしするからです．
- あなたがたは 祭りに 上って 行きなさい． わたしはこの 祭りには 行きません． わたしの 時がまだ 滿ちていないからです． 」
- こう 言って， イエス は ガリラヤ にとどまられた．
- しかし， 兄弟たちが 祭りに 上ったとき， イエス ご 自身も， 公にではなく， いわば 內密に 上って 行かれた．

- So the Jews were seeking Him at the feast and were saying, "Where is He?"
- There was much grumbling among the crowds concerning Him; some were saying, "He is a good man"; others were saying, "No, on the contrary, He leads the people astray."
- Yet no one was speaking openly of Him for fear of the Jews.
- But when it was now the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and began to teach.
- The Jews then were astonished, saying, "How has this man become learned, having never been educated?"

- ユダヤ 人たちは， 祭りのとき， 「あの 方はどこにおられるのか． 」と 言って， イエス を 搜していた．
- そして 群衆の 間には， イエス について， いろいろとひそひそ 話がされていた． 「良い 人だ． 」と 言う 者もあり， 「違う． 群衆を 惑わしているのだ． 」と 言う 者もいた．
- しかし， ユダヤ 人たちを 恐れたため， イエス について 公然と 語る 者はひとりもいなかった．
- しかし， 祭りもすでに 中ごろになったとき， イエス は 宮に 上って 敎え 始められた．
- ユダヤ 人たちは 驚いて 言った． 「この 人は 正規に 學んだことがないのに， どうして 學問があるのか． 」

- So Jesus answered them and said, "My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me.
- "If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself.
- "He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
- "Did not Moses give you the Law, and yet none of you carries out the Law? Why do you seek to kill Me?"
- The crowd answered, "You have a demon! Who seeks to kill You?"

- そこで イエス は 彼らに 答えて 言われた． 「わたしの 敎えは， わたしのものではなく， わたしを 遣わした 方のものです．
- だれでも 神のみこころを 行なおうと 願うなら， その 人には， この 敎えが 神から 出たものか， わたしが 自分から 語っているのかがわかります．
- 自分から 語る 者は， 自分の 榮光を 求めます． しかし 自分を 遣わした 方の 榮光を 求める 者は 眞實であり， その 人には 不正がありません．
- モ ― セ があなたがたに 律法を 與えたではありませんか． それなのに， あなたがたはだれも， 律法を 守っていません． あなたがたは， なぜわたしを 殺そうとするのですか． 」
- 群衆は 答えた． 「あなたは 惡靈につかれています． だれがあなたを 殺そうとしているのですか． 」

- Jesus answered them, "I did one deed, and you all marvel.
- "For this reason Moses has given you circumcision (not because it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a man.
- "If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath so that the Law of Moses will not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made an entire man well on the Sabbath?
- "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment."

- イエス は 彼らに 答えて 言われた． 「わたしは 一つのわざをしました． それであなたがたはみな 驚いています．
- モ ― セ はこのためにあなたがたに 割禮を 與えました． ··ただし， それは モ ― セ から 始まったのではなく， 先祖たちからです． ··それで， あなたがたは 安息日にも 人に 割禮を 施しています．
- もし， 人が モ ― セ の 律法が 破られないようにと， 安息日にも 割禮を 受けるのなら， わたしが 安息日に 人の 全身をすこやかにしたからといって， 何でわたしに 腹を 立てるのですか．
- うわべによって 人をさばかないで， 正しいさばきをしなさい． 」
