- Now there were some Greeks among those who were going up to worship at the feast;
- these then came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and began to ask him, saying, "Sir, we wish to see Jesus."
- Philip came and told Andrew; Andrew and Philip came and told Jesus.
- And Jesus answered them, saying, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.
- "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

- さて， 祭りのとき 禮拜のために 上って 來た 人¿の 中に， ギリシヤ 人が 幾人かいた．
- この 人たちが ガリラヤ の ベツサイダ の 人である ピリポ のところに 來て， 「先生． イエス にお 目にかかりたいのですが． 」と 言って 賴んだ．
- ピリポ は 行って アンデレ に 話し， アンデレ と ピリポ とは 行って， イエス に 話した．
- すると， イエス は 彼らに 答えて 言われた． 「人の 子が 榮光を 受けるその 時が 來ました．
- まことに， まことに， あなたがたに 告げます． 一粒の 麥がもし 地に 落ちて 死ななければ， それは 一つのままです． しかし， もし 死ねば， 豊かな 實を 結びます．

- "He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal.
- "If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.
- "Now My soul has become troubled; and what shall I say, 'Father, save Me from this hour'? But for this purpose I came to this hour.
- "Father, glorify Your name " Then a voice came out of heaven: "I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again."
- So the crowd of people who stood by and heard it were saying that it had thundered; others were saying, "An angel has spoken to Him."

- 自分のいのちを 愛する 者はそれを 失い， この 世でそのいのちを 憎む 者はそれを 保って 永遠のいのちに 至るのです．
- わたしに 仕えるというのなら， その 人はわたしについて 來なさい． わたしがいる 所に， わたしに 仕える 者もいるべきです． もしわたしに 仕えるなら， 父はその 人に 報いてくださいます．
- 今わたしの 心は ¿いでいる． 何と 言おうか． 『父よ． この 時からわたしをお 救いください． 』と 言おうか． いや． このためにこそ， わたしはこの 時に 至ったのです．
- 父よ． 御名の 榮光を 現わしてください． 」そのとき， 天から 聲が 聞こえた． 「わたしは 榮光をすでに 現わしたし， またもう 一度榮光を 現わそう． 」
- そばに 立っていてそれを 聞いた 群衆は， 雷が 鳴ったのだと 言った． ほかの 人¿は， 「御使いがあの 方に 話したのだ． 」と 言った．

- Jesus answered and said, "This voice has not come for My sake, but for your sakes.
- "Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.
- "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself."
- But He was saying this to indicate the kind of death by which He was to die.
- The crowd then answered Him, "We have heard out of the Law that the Christ is to remain forever; and how can You say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up'? Who is this Son of Man?"

- イエス は 答えて 言われた． 「この 聲が 聞こえたのは， わたしのためにではなくて， あなたがたのためにです．
- 今がこの 世のさばきです． 今， この 世を 支配する 者は 追い 出されるのです．
- わたしが 地上から 上げられるなら， わたしはすべての 人を 自分のところに 引き 寄せます． 」
- イエス は 自分がどのような 死に 方で 死ぬかを 示して， このことを 言われたのである．
- そこで， 群衆は イエス に 答えた． 「私たちは， 律法で， キリスト はいつまでも 生きておられると 聞きましたが， どうしてあなたは， 人の 子は 上げられなければならない， と 言われるのですか． その 人の 子とはだれですか． 」

- So Jesus said to them, "For a little while longer the Light is among you Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes.
- "While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of Light " These things Jesus spoke, and He went away and hid Himself from them.
- But though He had performed so many signs before them, yet they were not believing in Him.
- This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet which he spoke: "LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT? AND TO WHOM HAS THE ARM OF THE LORD BEEN REVEALED?"
- For this reason they could not believe, for Isaiah said again,

- イエス は 彼らに 言われた． 「まだしばらくの 間， 光はあなたがたの 間にあります． やみがあなたがたを 襲うことのないように， あなたがたは， 光がある 間に 步きなさい． やみの 中を 步く 者は， 自分がどこに 行くのかわかりません．
- あなたがたに 光がある 間に， 光の 子どもとなるために， 光を 信じなさい． 」 イエス は， これらのことをお 話しになると， 立ち 去って， 彼らから 身を 隱された．
- イエス が 彼らの 目の 前でこのように 多くのしるしを 行なわれたのに， 彼らは イエス を 信じなかった．
- それは， 「主よ． だれが 私たちの 知らせを 信じましたか． また 主の 御腕はだれに 現わされましたか． 」と 言った 預言者 イザヤ のことばが 成就するためであった．
- 彼らが 信じることができなかったのは， イザヤ がまた 次のように 言ったからである．

- "HE HAS BLINDED THEIR EYES AND HE HARDENED THEIR HEART, SO THAT THEY WOULD NOT SEE WITH THEIR EYES AND PERCEIVE WITH THEIR HEART, AND BE CONVERTED AND I HEAL THEM."
- These things Isaiah said because he saw His glory, and he spoke of Him.
- Nevertheless many even of the rulers believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue;
- for they loved the approval of men rather than the approval of God.
- And Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who sent Me.

- 「主は 彼らの 目を 盲目にされた． また， 彼らの 心をかたくなにされた． それは， 彼らが 目で 見， 心で 理解し， 回心し， そしてわたしが 彼らをいやす， ということがないためである． 」
- イザヤ がこう 言ったのは， イザヤ が イエス の 榮光を 見たからで， イエス をさして 言ったのである．
- しかし， それにもかかわらず， 指導者たちの 中にも イエス を 信じる 者がたくさんいた． ただ， パリサイ 人たちをはばかって， 告白はしなかった． 會堂から 追放されないためであった．
- 彼らは， 神からの 榮譽よりも， 人の 榮譽を 愛したからである．
- また， イエス は 大聲で 言われた． 「わたしを 信じる 者は， わたしではなく， わたしを 遣わした 方を 信じるのです．

- "He who sees Me sees the One who sent Me.
- "I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness.
- "If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.
- "He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.
- "For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak.

- また， わたしを 見る 者は， わたしを 遣わした 方を 見るのです．
- わたしは 光として 世に 來ました． わたしを 信じる 者が， だれもやみの 中にとどまることのないためです．
- だれかが， わたしの 言うことを 聞いてそれを 守らなくても， わたしはその 人をさばきません． わたしは 世をさばくために 來たのではなく， 世を 救うために 來たからです．
- わたしを 拒み， わたしの 言うことを 受け 入れない 者には， その 人をさばくものがあります． わたしが 話したことばが， 終わりの 日にその 人をさばくのです．
- わたしは， 自分から 話したのではありません． わたしを 遣わした 父ご 自身が， わたしが 何を 言い， 何を 話すべきかをお 命じになりました．

- "I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me."
|
- わたしは， 父の 命令が 永遠のいのちであることを 知っています． それゆえ， わたしが 話していることは， 父がわたしに 言われたとおりを， そのままに 話しているのです． 」
