	역대상 12:16-14:17 다윗은 신정 정치의 실현을 위하여 언약궤를 예루살렘으로 운반하려 하였으나, 도중에 웃사가 하나님의 규례를 거역해 즉사하는 불상사가 일어나자 언약궤를 오벧에돔의 집에 머물게 하였다. 하나님의 축복으로 다윗은 정치, 군사적으로 번영하였으며, 2차에 걸친 블레셋 정벌로 그의 명성은 열국에 퍼졌고 열국이 그를 두려워하였다.

	다윗의 용사들(12:16-12:40)

Then some of the sons of Benjamin and Judah came to the stronghold to David.

David went out to meet them, and said to them, "If you come peacefully to me to help me, my heart shall be united with you; but if to betray me to my adversaries, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers look on it and decide."

Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, who was the chief of the thirty, and he said, "We are yours, O David, And with you, O son of Jesse! Peace, peace to you, And peace to him who helps you; Indeed, your God helps you!" Then David received them and made them captains of the band.

From Manasseh also some defected to David when he was about to go to battle with the Philistines against Saul. But they did not help them, for the lords of the Philistines after consultation sent him away, saying, "At the cost of our heads he may defect to his master Saul."

As he went to Ziklag there defected to him from Manasseh: Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael, Michael, Jozabad, Elihu and Zillethai, captains of thousands who belonged to Manasseh.

さらに，ベニヤミン族とユダ族からも，要害のダビデのもとに來た者があった．

They helped David against the band of raiders, for they were all mighty men of valor, and were captains in the army.

For day by day men came to David to help him, until there was a great army like the army of God.

Now these are the numbers of the divisions equipped for war, who came to David at Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD.

The sons of Judah who bore shield and spear were 6,800, equipped for war.

Of the sons of Simeon, mighty men of valor for war, 7,100.

彼らはダビデを助けて，あの略奪隊に當たった．みな勇士であり，將軍であった．

日に日に，人¿がダビデを助けるため彼のもとに來て，ついに神の陣營のような大陣營となった．

主のことばのとおり，サウルの支配をダビデに回そうと，ヘブロンにいるダビデのもとに來た，武裝した者のかしらの數は次のとおりである．

Of the sons of Levi 4,600.

Now Jehoiada was the leader of the house of Aaron, and with him were 3,700,

also Zadok, a young man mighty of valor, and of his father's house twenty-two captains.

Of the sons of Benjamin, Saul's kinsmen, 3,000; for until now the greatest part of them had kept their allegiance to the house of Saul.

Of the sons of Ephraim 20,800, mighty men of valor, famous men in their fathers' households.

レビ族から四千六百人．

エホヤダはアロンのつかさで，彼とともにいた者は三千七百人．

ツァドクは若い勇士で，その一族には二十二人のつかさがいた．

Of the half-tribe of Manasseh 18,000, who were designated by name to come and make David king.

Of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their kinsmen were at their command.

Of Zebulun, there were 50,000 who went out in the army, who could draw up in battle formation with all kinds of weapons of war and helped David with an undivided heart.

Of Naphtali there were 1,000 captains, and with them 37,000 with shield and spear.

Of the Danites who could draw up in battle formation, there were 28,600.

マナセの半部族から，ダビデを王にしようとしてやって來た名の示された者一万八千人．

イッサカル族から，時を悟り，イスラエルが何をなすべきかを知っている彼らのかしら二百人．彼らの同胞はみな，彼らの命令に從った．

ゼブルンから，從軍する者で，完全に武裝し，戰いの備えをした者五万人．彼らは心を一つにして集まった．

ナフタリから，つかさ一千人．彼らのもとに，大盾と槍を持つ者三万七千人．

ダン人から，戰いの備えをした者二万八千六百人．

Of Asher there were 40,000 who went out in the army to draw up in battle formation.

From the other side of the Jordan, of the Reubenites and the Gadites and of the half-tribe of Manasseh, there were 120,000 with all kinds of weapons of war for the battle.

All these, being men of war who could draw up in battle formation, came to Hebron with a perfect heart to make David king over all Israel; and all the rest also of Israel were of one mind to make David king.

They were there with David three days, eating and drinking, for their kinsmen had prepared for them.

Moreover those who were near to them, even as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought food on donkeys, camels, mules and on oxen, great quantities of flour cakes, fig cakes and bunches of raisins, wine, oil, oxen and sheep. There was joy indeed in Israel.

アシェルから，從軍する者で，戰いの備えをした者四万人．

ヨルダン川の向こう側，ルベン人，ガド人，マナセの半部族から，戰いのために完全軍裝をした者十二万人．

誠實な心で， ¿び集まったこれらの戰士たちは，ヘブロンに來て，ダビデを全イスラエルの王にした．イスラエルの殘りの者たちもまた，心を一つにしてダビデを王にした．

Then David consulted with the captains of the thousands and the hundreds, even with every leader.

David said to all the assembly of Israel, "If it seems good to you, and if it is from the LORD our God, let us send everywhere to our kinsmen who remain in all the land of Israel, also to the priests and Levites who are with them in their cities with pasture lands, that they may meet with us;

and let us bring back the ark of our God to us, for we did not seek it in the days of Saul."

Then all the assembly said that they would do so, for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.

So David assembled all Israel together, from the Shihor of Egypt even to the entrance of Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.

ここに，ダビデは千人隊の長，百人隊の長たち，すべての隊長と合議し，

イスラエルの全集團に向かって，言った．「もしも，このことが，あなたがたによく，私たちの神，主の御旨から出たことなら，イスラエル全土に殘っている私たちの同胞にいっせいに使者を送ろう．彼らのうちには，放牧地のある町¿の祭司やレビ人もいる．彼らを私たちのもとに集めよう．

私たちの神の箱を私たちのもとに持ち歸ろう．私たちは，サウルの時代には，これを顧みなかったから．」

すると全集團は，そうしようと言った．すべての民がそのことを正しいと見たからである．

そこで，ダビデは，神の箱をキルヤテ · エアリムから運ぶため，エジプトのシホルからレボ · ハマテに至るまでの全イスラエルを召集した．

David and all Israel went up to Baalah, that is, to Kiriath-jearim, which belongs to Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, the LORD who is enthroned above the cherubim, where His name is called.

They carried the ark of God on a new cart from the house of Abinadab, and Uzza and Ahio drove the cart.

David and all Israel were celebrating before God with all their might, even with songs and with lyres, harps, tambourines, cymbals and with trumpets.

When they came to the threshing floor of Chidon, Uzza put out his hand to hold the ark, because the oxen nearly upset it.

The anger of the LORD burned against Uzza, so He struck him down because he put out his hand to the ark; and he died there before God.

ダビデと全イスラエルは，バアラ，すなわち，ユダに屬するキルヤテ · エアリムに上って行き，そこから，「ケルビムに座しておられる主．」と呼ばれていた神の箱を運び上ろうとした．

そこで彼らはアビナダブの家から神の箱を新しい車に載せた．ウザとアフヨがその車を御していた．

ダビデと全イスラエルは，歌を歌い，立琴，十弦の琴，タンバリン，シンバル，ラッパを鳴らして，神の前で力の限り喜び踊った．

こうして彼らがキドンの打ち場まで來たとき，ウザは手を伸ばして，箱を押えた．牛がそれをひっくり返しそうになったからである．

すると，主の怒りがウザに向かって燃え上がり，彼を打った．彼が手を箱に伸べたからである．彼はその場で神の前に死んだ．

Then David became angry because of the LORD'S outburst against Uzza; and he called that place Perez-uzza to this day.

David was afraid of God that day, saying, "How can I bring the ark of God home to me?"

So David did not take the ark with him to the city of David, but took it aside to the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

Thus the ark of God remained with the family of Obed-edom in his house three months; and the LORD blessed the family of Obed-edom with all that he had.

ダビデの心は激した．ウザによる割りこみに主が怒りを發せられたからである．それでその場所はペレツ · ウザと呼ばれた．今日もそうである．

その日ダビデは神を恐れて言った．「私はどうして，私のところに神の箱をお運びできましょうか．」

そこで，ダビデは箱を彼のところダビデの町には移さず，ガテ人オベデ · エドムの家にそれを回した．

このようにして，神の箱はオベデ · エドムの家族とともに，彼の家に三か月間とどまった．主はオベデ · エドムの家と，彼に屬するすべてのものを祝福された．

	다윗의 번성과 블레셋 정벌(14:1-14:17)

Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David with cedar trees, masons and carpenters, to build a house for him.

And David realized that the LORD had established him as king over Israel, and that his kingdom was highly exalted, for the sake of His people Israel.

Then David took more wives at Jerusalem, and David became the father of more sons and daughters.

These are the names of the children born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,

Ibhar, Elishua, Elpelet,

ツロの王ヒラムは，ダビデのもとに使者を送り，ダビデの王宮を建てるために杉材，石工，大工を送った．

ダビデは，主が彼をイスラエルの王として堅く立て，主の民イスラエルのために，彼の王權がいよいよ盛んにされているのを知った．

ダビデはエルサレムで，さらに妻たちをめとった．ダビデはさらに，息子，娘たちを生んだ．

エルサレムで彼に生まれた子の名は次のとおり．シャムア，ショバブ，ナタン，ソロモン，

イブハル，エリシュア，エルペレテ，

Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,

Elishama, Beeliada and Eliphelet.

When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up in search of David; and David heard of it and went out against them.

Now the Philistines had come and made a raid in the valley of Rephaim.

David inquired of God, saying, "Shall I go up against the Philistines? And will You give them into my hand?" Then the LORD said to him, "Go up, for I will give them into your hand."

ノガハ，ネフェグ，ヤフィア，

エリシャマ，ベエルヤダ，エリフェレテ．

ペリシテ人は，ダビデが油をそそがれて全イスラエルの王となったことを聞いた．そこでペリシテ人はみな，ダビデをねらって上って來た．ダビデはそれと聞き，彼らを迎え擊ちに出た．

ペリシテ人は來て，レファイムの谷間に突入した．

そこで，ダビデは神に伺って言った．「ペリシテ人を攻めに上るべきでしょうか．彼らを私の手に渡してくださるでしょうか．」すると主は彼に仰せられた．「上れ．わたしは彼らをあなたの手に渡す．」

So they came up to Baal-perazim, and David defeated them there; and David said, "God has broken through my enemies by my hand, like the breakthrough of waters." Therefore they named that place Baal-perazim.

They abandoned their gods there; so David gave the order and they were burned with fire.

The Philistines made yet another raid in the valley.

David inquired again of God, and God said to him, "You shall not go up after them; circle around behind them and come at them in front of the balsam trees.

"It shall be when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, then you shall go out to battle, for God will have gone out before you to strike the army of the Philistines."

それで，みなはバアル · ペラツィムに上り，ダビデはそこで彼らを打った．そして，ダビデは言った．「神は，水が破れ出るように，私の手を用いて私の敵を破られた．」それゆえ，その場所の名はバアル · ペラツィムと呼ばれた．

ところがペリシテ人は，なおもまたその谷間に突入して來た．

そこで，ダビデがさらに神に伺ったところ，神は彼に仰せられた．「彼らを追って上って行くな．彼らには面と向かわず，回って行き，バルサム樹の林の前から彼らに向かえ．

バルサム樹の林の上から行進の音が聞こえたら，そのとき，あなたは戰いに行け．神はすでに，ペリシテ人の陣營を打つために，あなたより先に出ているから．」

David did just as God had commanded him, and they struck down the army of the Philistines from Gibeon even as far as Gezer.

Then the fame of David went out into all the lands; and the LORD brought the fear of him on all the nations.

ダビデは，神が彼に命じたとおりにし，彼らはギブオンからゲゼルまでのペリシテ人の陣營を打った．

こうして，ダビデの名聲はあまねく全地に及んだ．主はすべての國¿に，彼に對する恐怖を起こされた．
