	예레미야 3:1-4:31 하나님께서는 하나님을 떠나 우상을 숭배한 유다가 회개하고 돌아오면 그들을 용서하시고 복 주시겠다고 말씀하셨다. 그러나 유다는 이를 거부하고 회개하지 않아 하나님의 재앙을 초래하였다. 예레미야는 묵시를 통해, 임박한 재앙의 모습을 보고 슬퍼하였다.

	회개 촉구(3:1-3:25)

God says, "If a husband divorces his wife And she goes from him And belongs to another man, Will he still return to her? Will not that land be completely polluted? But you are a harlot with many lovers; Yet you turn to Me," declares the LORD.

"Lift up your eyes to the bare heights and see; Where have you not been violated? By the roads you have sat for them Like an Arab in the desert, And you have polluted a land With your harlotry and with your wickedness.

"Therefore the showers have been withheld, And there has been no spring rain Yet you had a harlot's forehead; You refused to be ashamed.

"Have you not just now called to Me, 'My Father, You are the friend of my youth?

'Will He be angry forever? Will He be indignant to the end?' Behold, you have spoken And have done evil things, And you have had your way."

もし，人が自分の妻を去らせ，彼女が彼のもとを去って，ほかの男のものになれば，この人は再び先の妻のもとに戾れるだろうか．この國も大いに汚れていないだろうか．あなたは，多くの愛人と淫行を行なって，しかも，わたしのところに歸ると言っている． ··主の御告げ． ··

目を上げて裸の丘を見よ．どこに，あなたが共寢をしなかった所があろう．荒野のアラビヤ人がするように，道ばたで相手を待ってすわり ¿み，あなたの淫行と惡行によって，この地を汚した．

それで夕立はとどめられ，後の雨はなかった．それでも，あなたは遊女の額をしていて，恥じようともしない．

今でも，わたしに，こう呼びかけているではないか．『父よ．あなたは私の若いころの連れ合いです．

Then the LORD said to me in the days of Josiah the king, "Have you seen what faithless Israel did? She went up on every high hill and under every green tree, and she was a harlot there.

"I thought, 'After she has done all these things she will return to Me'; but she did not return, and her treacherous sister Judah saw it.

"And I saw that for all the adulteries of faithless Israel, I had sent her away and given her a writ of divorce, yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear; but she went and was a harlot also.

"Because of the lightness of her harlotry, she polluted the land and committed adultery with stones and trees.

"Yet in spite of all this her treacherous sister Judah did not return to Me with all her heart, but rather in deception," declares the LORD.

ヨシヤ王の時代に，主は私に仰せられた．「あなたは，背信の女イスラエルが行なったことを見たか．彼女はすべての高い山の上，すべての茂った木の下に行って，そこで淫行を行なった．

And the LORD said to me, "Faithless Israel has proved herself more righteous than treacherous Judah.

"Go and proclaim these words toward the north and say, 'Return, faithless Israel,' declares the LORD; 'I will not look upon you in anger For I am gracious,' declares the LORD; 'I will not be angry forever.

'Only acknowledge your iniquity, That you have transgressed against the LORD your God And have scattered your favors to the strangers under every green tree, And you have not obeyed My voice,' declares the LORD.

'Return, O faithless sons,' declares the LORD; 'For I am a master to you, And I will take you one from a city and two from a family, And I will bring you to Zion.'

"Then I will give you shepherds after My own heart, who will feed you on knowledge and understanding.

主はまた，私に仰せられた．「背信の女イスラエルは，裏切る女ユダよりも正しかった．

行って，次のことばを北のほうに呼ばわって言え．背信の女イスラエル．歸れ． ··主の御告げ． ··わたしはあなたがたをしからない．わたしは惠み深いから． ··主の御告げ． ··わたしは，いつまでも怒ってはいない．

"It shall be in those days when you are multiplied and increased in the land," declares the LORD, "they will no longer say, 'The ark of the covenant of the LORD.' And it will not come to mind, nor will they remember it, nor will they miss it, nor will it be made again.

"At that time they will call Jerusalem 'The Throne of the LORD,' and all the nations will be gathered to it, to Jerusalem, for the name of the LORD; nor will they walk anymore after the stubbornness of their evil heart.

"In those days the house of Judah will walk with the house of Israel, and they will come together from the land of the north to the land that I gave your fathers as an inheritance.

"Then I said, 'How I would set you among My sons And give you a pleasant land, The most beautiful inheritance of the nations!' And I said, 'You shall call Me, My Father, And not turn away from following Me.'

"Surely, as a woman treacherously departs from her lover, So you have dealt treacherously with Me, O house of Israel," declares the LORD.

その日，あなたがたが國中にふえて多くなるとき， ··主の御告げ． ··彼らはもう，主の契約の箱について何も言わず，心にも留めず，思い出しもせず，調べもせず，再び作ろうともしない．

そのとき，エルサレムは『主の御座』と呼ばれ，万國の民はこの御座，主の名のあるエルサレムに集められ，二度と彼らは惡いかたくなな心のままに步むことはない．

A voice is heard on the bare heights, The weeping and the supplications of the sons of Israel; Because they have perverted their way, They have forgotten the LORD their God.

"Return, O faithless sons, I will heal your faithlessness." "Behold, we come to You; For You are the LORD our God.

"Surely, the hills are a deception, A tumult on the mountains Surely in the LORD our God Is the salvation of Israel.

"But the shameful thing has consumed the labor of our fathers since our youth, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.

"Let us lie down in our shame, and let our humiliation cover us; for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day. And we have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God."

一つの聲が裸の丘の上で聞こえる．イスラエルの子らの哀願の泣き聲だ．彼らは自分たちの道を曲げ，自分たちの神，主を忘れたからだ．

背信の子らよ．歸れ．わたしがあなたがたの背信をいやそう．」「今，私たちはあなたのもとにまいります．あなたこそ，私たちの神，主だからです．

"If you will return, O Israel," declares the LORD, "Then you should return to Me And if you will put away your detested things from My presence, And will not waver,

And you will swear, 'As the LORD lives,' In truth, in justice and in righteousness; Then the nations will bless themselves in Him, And in Him they will glory."

For thus says the LORD to the men of Judah and to Jerusalem, "Break up your fallow ground, And do not sow among thorns.

"Circumcise yourselves to the LORD And remove the foreskins of your heart, Men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, Or else My wrath will go forth like fire And burn with none to quench it, Because of the evil of your deeds."

Declare in Judah and proclaim in Jerusalem, and say, "Blow the trumpet in the land; Cry aloud and say, 'Assemble yourselves, and let us go Into the fortified cities.'

「イスラエルよ．もし歸るのなら， ··主の御告げ． ··わたしのところに歸って來い．もし，あなたが忌むべき物をわたしの前から除くなら，あなたは迷うことはない．

あなたが眞實と公義と正義とによって『主は生きておられる．』と誓うなら，國¿は主によって互いに祝福し合い，主によって誇り合う．」

まことに主は，ユダの人とエルサレムとに，こう仰せられる．「耕地を開拓せよ．いばらの中に種を蒔くな．

ユダの人とエルサレムの住民よ．主のために割禮を受け，心の包皮を取り除け．さもないと，あなたがたの惡い行ないのため，わたしの憤りが火のように出て燃え上がり，消す者もいないだろう．」

「ユダに告げ，エルサレムに聞かせて言え．國中に角笛を吹け．大聲で叫んで言え．『集まれ．城壁のある町に行こう．』

"Lift up a standard toward Zion! Seek refuge, do not stand still, For I am bringing evil from the north, And great destruction.

"A lion has gone up from his thicket, And a destroyer of nations has set out; He has gone out from his place To make your land a waste. Your cities will be ruins Without inhabitant.

"For this, put on sackcloth, Lament and wail; For the fierce anger of the LORD Has not turned back from us."

"It shall come about in that day," declares the LORD, "that the heart of the king and the heart of the princes will fail; and the priests will be appalled and the prophets will be astounded."

Then I said, "Ah, Lord GOD! Surely You have utterly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, 'You will have peace'; whereas a sword touches the throat."

シオンのほうに旗を揭げよ．のがれよ．立ち止まるな．わたしがわざわいを北からもたらし，大いなる破滅をもたらすから．

獅子はその茂みから上って來，國¿を滅ぼす者は彼らの國から進み出た．あなたの國を荒れ果てさせるために．あなたの町¿は滅び，住む者もいなくなろう．」

そのために荒布をまとい，悲しみ嘆け．主の燃える怒りが，私たちから去らないからだ．

In that time it will be said to this people and to Jerusalem, "A scorching wind from the bare heights in the wilderness in the direction of the daughter of My people--not to winnow and not to cleanse,

a wind too strong for this--will come at My command; now I will also pronounce judgments against them.

"Behold, he goes up like clouds, And his chariots like the whirlwind; His horses are swifter than eagles Woe to us, for we are ruined!"

Wash your heart from evil, O Jerusalem, That you may be saved. How long will your wicked thoughts Lodge within you?

For a voice declares from Dan, And proclaims wickedness from Mount Ephraim.

その時，この民とエルサレムにこう告げられる．荒野にある裸の丘の熱風が，わたしの民の娘のほうに吹いて來る． ··吹き分けるためでもなく，淸めるためでもない．

これよりも，もっと激しい風が，わたしのために吹いて來る．今，わたしは彼らにさばきを下そう．

見よ．それは雲のように上って來る．その戰車はつむじ風のよう，その馬は鷲よりも速い．ああ．私たちは荒らされる．

エルサレムよ．救われるために，心を洗って惡を除け．いつまで，あなたの中には邪念が宿っているのか．

ああ，ダンから告げる聲がある．エフライムの山からわざわいを告げ知らせている．

"Report it to the nations, now! Proclaim over Jerusalem, 'Besiegers come from a far country, And lift their voices against the cities of Judah.

'Like watchmen of a field they are against her round about, Because she has rebelled against Me,' declares the LORD.

"Your ways and your deeds Have brought these things to you This is your evil How bitter! How it has touched your heart!"

My soul, my soul! I am in anguish! Oh, my heart! My heart is pounding in me; I cannot be silent, Because you have heard, O my soul, The sound of the trumpet, The alarm of war.

Disaster on disaster is proclaimed, For the whole land is devastated; Suddenly my tents are devastated, My curtains in an instant.

國¿に知らせよ．さあ，エルサレムに告げ知らせよ．包圍する者たちが遠くの地から來て，ユダの町¿に叫び聲をあげる．

彼らは畑の番人のように，ユダを取り圍む．それは，ユダがわたしに逆らったからだ． ··主の御告げ． ··

"For My people are foolish, They know Me not; They are stupid children And have no understanding They are shrewd to do evil, But to do good they do not know."

I looked on the earth, and behold, it was formless and void; And to the heavens, and they had no light.

I looked on the mountains, and behold, they were quaking, And all the hills moved to and fro.

I looked, and behold, there was no man, And all the birds of the heavens had fled.

いつまで私は，旗を見，角笛の音を聞かなければならないのだ．

實に，わたしの民は愚か者で，わたしを知らない．彼らは，ばかな子らで，彼らは悟りがない．彼らは惡事を ¿くのに賢くて，善を行なうことを知らない．

I looked, and behold, the fruitful land was a wilderness, And all its cities were pulled down Before the LORD, before His fierce anger.

For thus says the LORD, "The whole land shall be a desolation, Yet I will not execute a complete destruction.

"For this the earth shall mourn And the heavens above be dark, Because I have spoken, I have purposed, And I will not change My mind, nor will I turn from it."

At the sound of the horseman and bowman every city flees; They go into the thickets and climb among the rocks; Every city is forsaken, And no man dwells in them.

And you, O desolate one, what will you do? Although you dress in scarlet, Although you decorate yourself with ornaments of gold, Although you enlarge your eyes with paint, In vain you make yourself beautiful Your lovers despise you; They seek your life.

私が見ると，見よ，果樹園は荒野となり，町¿は主によって，主の燃える怒りによって，取りこわされていた．

まことに主はこう仰せられる．「全地は荒れ果てる．しかし，わたしはことごとくは滅ぼさない．

このために，地は嘆き悲しみ，上の天も暗くなる．わたしが語り，わたしが企てたからだ．わたしは悔いず，取りやめもしない．」

For I heard a cry as of a woman in labor, The anguish as of one giving birth to her first child, The cry of the daughter of Zion gasping for breath, Stretching out her hands, saying, "Ah, woe is me, for I faint before murderers."
