디모데전서 4:1-4:16

 바울은 디모데에게 교회를 위협하는 거짓 교리를 경계하면서 그리스도의 경건에 이르기를 연습하라고 당부했다. 또한 살아 계신 하나님께 소망을 두며 신앙 생활에 모범을 보이고 임무에 충실하도록 권면했다.
  
  이단의 경계(4:1-4:5)    
 
  1. But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,
  2. by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron,
  3. men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth.
  4. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude;
  5. for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer.
  1. しかし， 御靈が 明らかに 言われるように， 後の 時代になると， ある 人たちは 惑わす 靈と 惡靈の 敎えとに 心を 奪われ， 信仰から 離れるようになります．
  2. それは， うそつきどもの 僞善によるものです． 彼らは 良心が 麻 ｃ しており，
  3. 結婚することを 禁じたり， 食物を 斷つことを 命じたりします． しかし 食物は， 信仰があり， 眞理を 知っている 人が 感謝して 受けるようにと， 神が 造られた 物です．
  4. 神が 造られた 物はみな 良い 物で， 感謝して 受けるとき， 捨てるべき 物は 何一つありません．
  5. 神のことばと 祈りとによって， 聖められるからです．
 
  선한 일꾼에게 주는 훈계(4:6-4:16)    
 
  1. In pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following.
  2. But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness;
  3. for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
  4. It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance.
  5. For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.
  1. これらのことを 兄弟たちに 敎えるなら， あなたは キリスト · イエス のりっぱな 奉仕者になります． 信仰のことばと， あなたが 從って 來た 良い 敎えのことばとによって 養われているからです．
  2. 俗惡な， 年寄り 女がするような 空想話を 避けなさい． むしろ， 敬 ·のために 自分を 鍛練しなさい．
  3. 肉體の 鍛練もいくらかは 有益ですが， 今のいのちと 未來のいのちが 約束されている 敬 ·は， すべてに 有益です．
  4. このことばは， 眞實であり， そのまま 受け 入れるに 値することばです．
  5. 私たちはそのために 勞し， また 苦心しているのです． それは， すべての 人¿， ことに 信じる 人¿の 救い 主である， 生ける 神に 望みを 置いているからです．
  1. Prescribe and teach these things.
  2. Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.
  3. Until I come, give attention to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation and teaching.
  4. Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was bestowed on you through prophetic utterance with the laying on of hands by the presbytery.
  5. Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that your progress will be evident to all.
  1. これらのことを 命じ， また 敎えなさい．
  2. 年が 若いからといって， だれにも 輕く 見られないようにしなさい． かえって， ことばにも， 態度にも， 愛にも， 信仰にも， 純潔にも 信者の 模範になりなさい．
  3. 私が 行くまで， 聖書の 朗讀と 勸めと 敎えとに 專念しなさい．
  4. 長老たちによる 按手を 受けたとき， 預言によって 與えられた， あなたのうちにある 聖靈の 賜物を 輕んじてはいけません．
  5. これらの 務めに 心を ¿き， しっかりやりなさい． そうすれば， あなたの 進步はすべての 人に 明らかになるでしょう．
  1. Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.
  1. 自分自身にも， 敎える 事にも， よく 氣をつけなさい． あくまでそれを 續けなさい． そうすれば， 自分自身をも， またあなたの 敎えを 聞く 人たちをも 救うことになります．
 
  화인(火印, 4:2)  탈출을 기도한 노예들의 이마에 달군 쇠로 낙인을 찍는 형벌로, 화인 맞은 자리는 감각을 잃게 됨. 여기서는 무감각한 상태를 비유함
