- Therefore, let us fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it.
- For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard.
- For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said, "AS I SWORE IN MY WRATH, THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST," although His works were finished from the foundation of the world.
- For He has said somewhere concerning the seventh day: "AND GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS";
- and again in this passage, "THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST."

- こういうわけで， 神の 安息にはいるための 約束はまだ 殘っているのですから， あなたがたのうちのひとりでも， 万が 一にもこれにはいれないようなことのないように， 私たちは 恐れる 心を 持とうではありませんか．
- 福音を 說き 聞かされていることは， 私たちも 彼らと 同じなのです． ところが， その 聞いたみことばも， 彼らには 益になりませんでした． みことばが， それを 聞いた 人たちに， 信仰によって， 結びつけられなかったからです．
- 信じた 私たちは 安息にはいるのです． 「わたしは， 怒りをもって 誓ったように， 決して 彼らをわたしの 安息にはいらせない． 」と 神が 言われたとおりです． みわざは 創世の 初めから， もう 終わっているのです．
- というのは， 神は 七日目について， ある 個所で， 「そして， 神は， すべてのみわざを 終えて 七日目に 休まれた． 」と 言われました．
- そして， ここでは， 「決して 彼らをわたしの 安息にはいらせない． 」と 言われたのです．

- Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly had good news preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience,
- He again fixes a certain day, "Today," saying through David after so long a time just as has been said before, "TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS."
- For if Joshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken of another day after that.
- So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
- For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His.

- こういうわけで， その 安息にはいる 人¿がまだ 殘っており， 前に 福音を 說き 聞かされた 人¿は， 不從順のゆえにはいれなかったのですから，
- 神は 再びある 日を「きょう． 」と 定めて， 長い 年月の 後に， 前に 言われたと 同じように， ダビデ を 通して， 「きょう， もし 御聲を 聞くならば， あなたがたの 心をかたくなにしてはならない． 」と 語られたのです．
- もし ヨシュア が 彼らに 安息を 與えたのであったら， 神はそのあとで 別の 日のことを 話されることはなかったでしょう．
- したがって， 安息日の 休みは， 神の 民のためにまだ 殘っているのです．
- 神の 安息にはいった 者ならば， 神がご 自分のわざを 終えて 休まれたように， 自分のわざを 終えて 休んだはずです．

- Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience.
- For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
- And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

- ですから， 私たちは， この 安息にはいるよう 力を 盡くして 努め， あの 不從順の 例にならって 落後する 者が， ひとりもいないようにしようではありませんか．
- 神のことばは 生きていて， 力があり， 兩刃の 劍よりも 銳く， たましいと 靈， 關節と 骨¿の 分かれ 目さえも 刺し 通し， 心のいろいろな 考えやはかりごとを 判別することができます．
- 造られたもので， 神の 前で 隱れおおせるものは 何一つなく， 神の 目には， すべてが 裸であり， さらけ 出されています． 私たちはこの 神に 對して 弁明をするのです．
