- "But beware of men, for they will hand you over to the courts and scourge you in their synagogues;
- and you will even be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.
- "But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you are to say; for it will be given you in that hour what you are to say.
- "For it is not you who speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

- わたしがあなたがたをつかわすのは， 羊をおおかみの 中に 送るようなものである． だから， へびのように 賢く， はとのように 素直であれ．
- 人¿に 注意しなさい． 彼らはあなたがたを 衆議所に 引き 渡し， 會堂でむち 打つであろう．
- またあなたがたは， わたしのために 長官たちや 王たちの 前に 引き 出されるであろう． それは， 彼らと 異邦人とに 對してあかしをするためである．
- 彼らがあなたがたを 引き 渡したとき， 何をどう 言おうかと 心配しないがよい． 言うべきことは， その 時に 授けられるからである．
- 語る 者は， あなたがたではなく， あなたがたの 中にあって 語る 父の 靈である．

- "Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.
- "You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.
- "But whenever they persecute you in one city, flee to the next; for truly I say to you, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man comes.
- "A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master.
- "It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the head of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign the members of his household!

- 兄弟は 兄弟を， 父は 子を 殺すために 渡し， また 子は 親に 逆らって 立ち， 彼らを 殺させるであろう．
- またあなたがたは， わたしの 名のゆえにすべての 人に 憎まれるであろう． しかし， 最後まで 耐え 忍ぶ 者は 救われる．
- 一つの 町で 迫害されたなら， 他の 町へ 逃げなさい． よく 言っておく． あなたがたが イスラエル の 町¿を 回り 終らないうちに， 人の 子は 來るであろう．
- 弟子はその 師以上のものではなく， 僕はその 主人以上の 者ではない．
- 弟子がその 師のようであり， 僕がその 主人のようであれば， それで 十分である． もし 家の 主人が ベルゼブル と 言われるならば， その 家の 者どもはなおさら， どんなにか 惡く 言われることであろう．

- わたしが 暗やみであなたがたに 話すことを， 明るみで 言え． 耳にささやかれたことを， 屋根の 上で 言いひろめよ．
- また， からだを 殺しても， 魂を 殺すことのできない 者どもを 恐れるな． むしろ， からだも 魂も 地獄で 滅ぼす 力のあるかたを 恐れなさい．
- 二羽のすずめは 一 アサリオン で 賣られているではないか． しかもあなたがたの 父の 許しがなければ， その 一羽も 地に 落ちることはない．
- またあなたがたの 頭の 毛までも， みな 數えられている．

- "He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

- "He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it.
- "He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.

- そして 家の 者が， その 人の 敵となるであろう．

- また 自分の 十字架をとってわたしに 從ってこない 者はわたしにふさわしくない．
- 自分の 命を 得ている 者はそれを 失い， わたしのために 自分の 命を 失っている 者は， それを 得るであろう．
- あなたがたを 受けいれる 者は， わたしを 受けいれるのである． わたしを 受けいれる 者は， わたしをおつかわしになったかたを 受けいれるのである．

- "He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.
- "And whoever in the name of a disciple gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink, truly I say to you, he shall not lose his reward."

- 預言者の 名のゆえに 預言者を 受けいれる 者は， 預言者の 報いを 受け， 義人の 名のゆえに 義人を 受けいれる 者は， 義人の 報いを 受けるであろう．
- わたしの 弟子であるという 名のゆえに， この 小さい 者のひとりに 冷たい 水一杯でも 飮ませてくれる 者は， よく 言っておくが， 決してその 報いからもれることはない 」．
