- And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them.
- But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, "Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
- "Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all."
- And He took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His hands on them.
- As He was setting out on a journey, a man ran up to Him and knelt before Him, and asked Him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"

- イエス にさわっていただくために， 人¿が 幼な 子らをみもとに 連れてきた． ところが， 弟子たちは 彼らをたしなめた．
- それを 見て イエス は 憤り， 彼らに 言われた， 「幼な 子らをわたしの 所に 來るままにしておきなさい． 止めてはならない． 神の 國はこのような 者の 國である．
- よく 聞いておくがよい． だれでも 幼な 子のように 神の 國を 受けいれる 者でなければ， そこにはいることは 決してできない 」．
- そして 彼らを 抱き， 手をその 上において 祝福された．
- イエス が 道に 出て 行かれると， ひとりの 人が 走り 寄り， みまえにひざまずいて 尋ねた， 「よき 師よ， 永遠の 生命を 受けるために， 何をしたらよいでしょうか 」．

- And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone.
- "You know the commandments, 'DO NOT MURDER, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, DO NOT STEAL, DO NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS, Do not defraud, HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER.'"
- And he said to Him, "Teacher, I have kept all these things from my youth up."
- Looking at him, Jesus felt a love for him and said to him, "One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."
- But at these words he was saddened, and he went away grieving, for he was one who owned much property.

- イエス は 言われた， 「なぜわたしをよき 者と 言うのか． 神ひとりのほかによい 者はいない．
- いましめはあなたの 知っているとおりである． 『殺すな， 姦淫するな， 盜むな， 僞證を 立てるな． 欺き 取るな． 父と 母とを 敬え 』」．
- すると， 彼は 言った， 「先生， それらの 事はみな， 小さい 時から 守っております 」．
- イエス は 彼に 目をとめ， いつくしんで 言われた， 「あなたに 足りないことが 一つある． 歸って， 持っているものをみな 賣り 拂って， 貧しい 人¿に 施しなさい． そうすれば， 天に 寶を 持つようになろう． そして， わたしに 從ってきなさい 」．
- すると， 彼はこの 言葉を 聞いて， 顔を 曇らせ， 悲しみながら 立ち 去った． たくさんの 資産を 持っていたからである．

- And Jesus, looking around, said to His disciples, "How hard it will be for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!"
- The disciples were amazed at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!
- "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
- They were even more astonished and said to Him, "Then who can be saved?"
- Looking at them, Jesus said, "With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God."

- それから， イエス は 見まわして， 弟子たちに 言われた， 「財産のある 者が 神の 國にはいるのは， なんとむずかしいことであろう 」．
- 弟子たちはこの 言葉に 驚き 怪しんだ． イエス は 更に 言われた， 「子たちよ， 神の 國にはいるのは， なんとむずかしいことであろう．
- 富んでいる 者が 神の 國にはいるよりは， らくだが 針の 穴を 通る 方が， もっとやさしい 」．
- すると 彼らはますます 驚いて， 互に 言った， 「それでは， だれが 救われることができるのだろう 」．
- イエス は 彼らを 見つめて 言われた， 「人にはできないが， 神にはできる． 神はなんでもできるからである 」．

- Peter began to say to Him, "Behold, we have left everything and followed You."
- Jesus said, "Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel's sake,
- but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.
- "But many who are first will be last, and the last, first."

- ペテロ が イエス に 言い 出した， 「ごらんなさい， わたしたちはいっさいを 捨てて， あなたに 從って 參りました 」．
- イエス は 言われた， 「よく 聞いておくがよい． だれでもわたしのために， また 福音のために， 家， 兄弟， 姉妹， 母， 父， 子， もしくは 畑を 捨てた 者は，
- 必ずその 百倍を 受ける． すなわち， 今この 時代では 家， 兄弟， 姉妹， 母， 子および 畑を 迫害と 共に 受け， また， きたるべき 世では 永遠の 生命を 受ける．
- しかし， 多くの 先の 者はあとになり， あとの 者は 先になるであろう 」．
