- When the hour had come, He reclined at the table, and the apostles with Him.
- And He said to them, "I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer;
- for I say to you, I shall never again eat it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God."
- And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He said, "Take this and share it among yourselves;
- for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until the kingdom of God comes."

- 時間になったので， イエス は 食卓につかれ， 使徒たちも 共に 席についた．
- イエス は 彼らに 言われた， 「わたしは 苦しみを 受ける 前に， あなたがたとこの 過越の 食事をしようと， 切に 望んでいた．
- あなたがたに 言って 置くが， 神の 國で 過越が 成就する 時までは， わたしは 二度と， この 過越の 食事をすることはない 」．
- そして 杯を 取り， 感謝して 言われた， 「これを 取って， 互に 分けて 飮め．
- あなたがたに 言っておくが， 今からのち 神の 國が 來るまでは， わたしはぶどうの 實から 造ったものを， いっさい 飮まない 」．

- And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me."
- And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.
- "But behold, the hand of the one betraying Me is with Mine on the table.
- "For indeed, the Son of Man is going as it has been determined; but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!"
- And they began to discuss among themselves which one of them it might be who was going to do this thing.

- また パン を 取り， 感謝してこれをさき， 弟子たちに 與えて 言われた， 「これは， あなたがたのために 與えるわたしのからだである． わたしを 記念するため， このように 行いなさい 」．
- 食事ののち， 杯も 同じ 樣にして 言われた， 「この 杯は， あなたがたのために 流すわたしの 血で 立てられる 新しい 契約である．
- しかし， そこに， わたしを 裏切る 者が， わたしと 一緖に 食卓に 手を 置いている．
- 人の 子は 定められたとおりに， 去って 行く． しかし 人の 子を 裏切るその 人は， わざわいである 」．
- 弟子たちは， 自分たちのうちだれが， そんな 事をしようとしているのだろうと， 互に 論じはじめた．

- And there arose also a dispute among them as to which one of them was regarded to be greatest.
- And He said to them, "The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and those who have authority over them are called 'Benefactors.'
- "But it is not this way with you, but the one who is the greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the leader like the servant.
- "For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at the table? But I am among you as the one who serves.
- "You are those who have stood by Me in My trials;

- それから， 自分たちの 中でだれがいちばん 偉いだろうかと 言って， 爭論が 彼らの 間に， 起った．
- そこで イエス が 言われた， 「異邦の 王たちはその 民の 上に 君臨し， また， 權力をふるっている 者たちは 恩人と 呼ばれる．
- しかし， あなたがたは， そうであってはならない． かえって， あなたがたの 中でいちばん 偉い 人はいちばん 若い 者のように， 指導する 人は 仕える 者のようになるべきである．
- 食卓につく 人と 給仕する 者と， どちらが 偉いのか． 食卓につく 人の 方ではないか． しかし， わたしはあなたがたの 中で， 給仕をする 者のようにしている．
- あなたがたは， わたしの 試鍊のあいだ， わたしと 一緖に 最後まで 忍んでくれた 人たちである．

- and just as My Father has granted Me a kingdom, I grant you
- that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
- "Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat;
- but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers."
- But he said to Him, "Lord, with You I am ready to go both to prison and to death!"

- それで， わたしの 父が 國の 支配をわたしにゆだねてくださったように， わたしもそれをあなたがたにゆだね，
- わたしの 國で 食卓について 飮み 食いをさせ， また 位に 座して イスラエル の 十二の 部族をさばかせるであろう．
- シモン ， シモン ， 見よ， サタン はあなたがたを 麥のようにふるいにかけることを 願って 許された．
- しかし， わたしはあなたの 信仰がなくならないように， あなたのために 祈った． それで， あなたが 立ち 直ったときには， 兄弟たちを 力づけてやりなさい 」．
- シモン が 言った， 「主よ， わたしは 獄にでも， また 死に 至るまでも， あなたとご 一緖に 行く 覺悟です 」．

- And He said, "I say to you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me."

- すると イエス が 言われた， 「ペテロ よ， あなたに 言っておく． きょう， 鷄が 泣くまでに， あなたは 三度わたしを 知らないと 言うだろう 」．
