사무엘하 15:24-17:14

 도피 길에 나선 다윗은 제사장들이 메고 온 언약궤를 예루살렘으로 귀환시키고, 후새를 보내 압살롬의 계략을 탐지하게 했다. 도피중에 다윗은 시바의 악한 궤계와 시므이의 저주로 수치와 시련을 겪었다. 후새는 다윗의 명령대로 압살롬에게 거짓 투항하여 그의 신임을 얻게 되었고, 결국 다윗을 해하려는 아히도벨의 악한 모략을 실패로 돌아가게 만들었다.
  
  다윗의 시련(15:24-16:14)    
 
  1. Now behold, Zadok also came, and all the Levites with him carrying the ark of the covenant of God And they set down the ark of God, and Abiathar came up until all the people had finished passing from the city.
  2. The king said to Zadok, "Return the ark of God to the city. If I find favor in the sight of the LORD, then He will bring me back again and show me both it and His habitation.
  3. "But if He should say thus, 'I have no delight in you,' behold, here I am, let Him do to me as seems good to Him."
  4. The king said also to Zadok the priest, "Are you not a seer? Return to the city in peace and your two sons with you, your son Ahimaaz and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.
  5. "See, I am going to wait at the fords of the wilderness until word comes from you to inform me."
  1. そして アビヤタル も 上ってきた． 見よ， ザドク および 彼と 共にいるすべての レビ びともまた， 神の 契約の 箱をかいてきた． 彼らは 神の 箱をおろして， 民がことごとく 町を 出てしまうのを 待った．

  4. 王はまた 祭司 ザドク に 言った， 「見よ， あなたも アビヤタル も， ふたりの 子たち， すなわちあなたの 子 アヒマアズ と アビヤタル の 子 ヨナタン を 連れて， 安らかに 町に 歸りなさい．
  5. わたしはあなたがたから 言葉があって 知らせをうけるまで， 荒野の 渡し 場にとどまります 」．
  1. Therefore Zadok and Abiathar returned the ark of God to Jerusalem and remained there.
  2. And David went up the ascent of the Mount of Olives, and wept as he went, and his head was covered and he walked barefoot. Then all the people who were with him each covered his head and went up weeping as they went.
  3. Now someone told David, saying, "Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom " And David said, "O LORD, I pray, make the counsel of Ahithophel foolishness."
  4. It happened as David was coming to the summit, where God was worshiped, that behold, Hushai the Archite met him with his coat torn and dust on his head.
  5. David said to him, "If you pass over with me, then you will be a burden to me.
  1. そこで ザドク と アビヤタル は 神の 箱を エルサレム にかきもどり， そこにとどまった．
  2. ダビデ は オリブ 山の 坂道を 登ったが， 登る 時に 泣き， その 頭をおおい， はだしで 行った． 彼と 共にいる 民もみな 頭をおおって 登り， 泣きながら 登った．

  1. "But if you return to the city, and say to Absalom, 'I will be your servant, O king; as I have been your father's servant in time past, so I will now be your servant,' then you can thwart the counsel of Ahithophel for me.
  2. "Are not Zadok and Abiathar the priests with you there? So it shall be that whatever you hear from the king's house, you shall report to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.
  3. "Behold their two sons are with them there, Ahimaaz, Zadok's son and Jonathan, Abiathar's son; and by them you shall send me everything that you hear."
  4. So Hushai, David's friend, came into the city, and Absalom came into Jerusalem.
  1. しかしもしあなたが 町に 歸って アブサロム に 向かい， 『王よ， わたしはあなたのしもべとなります． わたしがこれまで， あなたの 父のしもべであったように， わたしは 今あなたのしもべとなります 』と 言うならば， あなたはわたしのために アヒトペル の 計略を 破ることができるであろう．

  1. Now when David had passed a little beyond the summit, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him with a couple of saddled donkeys, and on them were two hundred loaves of bread, a hundred clusters of raisins, a hundred summer fruits, and a jug of wine.
  2. The king said to Ziba, "Why do you have these?" And Ziba said, "The donkeys are for the king's household to ride, and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat, and the wine, for whoever is faint in the wilderness to drink."
  3. Then the king said, "And where is your master's son?" And Ziba said to the king, "Behold, he is staying in Jerusalem, for he said, 'Today the house of Israel will restore the kingdom of my father to me.'"
  4. So the king said to Ziba, "Behold, all that belongs to Mephibosheth is yours." And Ziba said, "I prostrate myself; let me find favor in your sight, O my lord, the king!"
  5. When King David came to Bahurim, behold, there came out from there a man of the family of the house of Saul whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera; he came out cursing continually as he came.
  1. ダビデ が 山の 頂を 過ぎて， すこし 行った 時， メピボセテ のしもべ ヂバ は， くらを 置いた 二頭のろばを 引き， その 上に パン 二百個， 干ぶどう 百ふさ， 夏のくだもの 一百， ぶどう 酒一袋を 載せてきて ダビデ を 迎えた．
  2. 王は ヂバ に 言った， 「あなたはどうしてこれらのものを 持ってきたのですか 」． ヂバ は 答えた， 「ろばは 王の 家族が 乘るため， パン と 夏のくだものは 若者たちが 食べるため， ぶどう 酒は 荒野で 弱った 者が 飮むためです 」．
  3. 王は 言った， 「あなたの 主人の 子はどこにおるのですか 」． ヂバ は 王に 言った， 「エルサレム にとどまっています． 彼は， 『イスラエル の 家はきょう， わたしの 父の 國をわたしに 返すであろう 』と 思ったのです 」．
  4. 王は ヂバ に 言った， 「見よ， メピボセテ のものはことごとくあなたのものです 」． ヂバ は 言った， 「わたしは 敬意を 表します． わが 主， 王よ， あなたの 前にいつまでも 惠みを 得させてください 」．
  5. ダビデ 王が バホリム にきた 時， サウル の 家の 一族の 者がひとりそこから 出てきた． その 名を シメイ といい， ゲラ の 子である． 彼は 出てきながら 絶えずのろった．
  1. He threw stones at David and at all the servants of King David; and all the people and all the mighty men were at his right hand and at his left.
  2. Thus Shimei said when he cursed, "Get out, get out, you man of bloodshed, and worthless fellow!
  3. "The LORD has returned upon you all the bloodshed of the house of Saul, in whose place you have reigned; and the LORD has given the kingdom into the hand of your son Absalom. And behold, you are taken in your own evil, for you are a man of bloodshed!"
  4. Then Abishai the son of Zeruiah said to the king, "Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? Let me go over now and cut off his head."
  5. But the king said, "What have I to do with you, O sons of Zeruiah? If he curses, and if the LORD has told him, 'Curse David,' then who shall say, 'Why have you done so?'"
  1. そして 彼は ダビデ と ダビデ 王のもろもろの 家來に 向かって 石を 投げた． その 時， 民と 勇士たちはみな 王の 左右にいた．

  5. しかし 王は 言った， 「ゼルヤ の 子たちよ， あなたがたと， なんのかかわりがあるのか． 彼がのろうのは， 主が 彼に， 『ダビデ をのろえ 』と 言われたからであるならば， だれが， 『あなたはどうしてこういうことをするのか 』と 言ってよいであろうか 」．
  1. Then David said to Abishai and to all his servants, "Behold, my son who came out from me seeks my life; how much more now this Benjamite? Let him alone and let him curse, for the LORD has told him.
  2. "Perhaps the LORD will look on my affliction and return good to me instead of his cursing this day."
  3. So David and his men went on the way; and Shimei went along on the hillside parallel with him and as he went he cursed and cast stones and threw dust at him.
  4. The king and all the people who were with him arrived weary and he refreshed himself there.
  1. ダビデ はまた アビシャイ と 自分のすべての 家來とに 言った， 「わたしの 身から 出たわが 子がわたしの 命を 求めている． 今， この ベニヤミン びととしてはなおさらだ． 彼を 許してのろわせておきなさい． 主が 彼に 命じられたのだ．

  아히도벨과 후새의 모략(16:15-17:14)    
 
  1. Then Absalom and all the people, the men of Israel, entered Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him.
  2. Now it came about when Hushai the Archite, David's friend, came to Absalom, that Hushai said to Absalom, "Long live the king! Long live the king!"
  3. Absalom said to Hushai, "Is this your loyalty to your friend? Why did you not go with your friend?"
  4. Then Hushai said to Absalom, "No! For whom the LORD, this people, and all the men of Israel have chosen, his I will be, and with him I will remain.
  5. "Besides, whom should I serve? Should I not serve in the presence of his son? As I have served in your father's presence, so I will be in your presence."
  1. さて アブサロム とすべての 民， イスラエル の 人¿は エルサレム にきた． アヒトペル も アブサロム と 共にいた．
  2. ダビデ の 友である アルキ びと ホシャイ が アブサロム のもとにきた 時， ホシャイ は アブサロム に「王万歲， 王万歲 」と 言った．
  3. アブサロム は ホシャイ に 言った， 「これはあなたがその 友に 示す 眞實なのか． あなたはどうしてあなたの 友と 一緖に 行かなかったのか 」．
  4. ホシャイ は アブサロム に 言った， 「いいえ， 主とこの 民と イスラエル のすべての 人¿が 選んだ 者にわたしは 屬し， かつその 人と 一緖におります．
  5. かつまたわたしはだれに 仕えるべきですか． その 子の 前に 仕えるべきではありませんか． あなたの 父の 前に 仕えたように， わたしはあなたの 前に 仕えます 」．
  1. Then Absalom said to Ahithophel, "Give your advice. What shall we do?"
  2. Ahithophel said to Absalom, "Go in to your father's concubines, whom he has left to keep the house; then all Israel will hear that you have made yourself odious to your father. The hands of all who are with you will also be strengthened."
  3. So they pitched a tent for Absalom on the roof, and Absalom went in to his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.
  4. The advice of Ahithophel, which he gave in those days, was as if one inquired of the word of God; so was all the advice of Ahithophel regarded by both David and Absalom.
  1. そこで アブサロム は アヒトペル に 言った， 「あなたがたは， われわれがどうしたらよいのか， 計りごとを 述べなさい 」．
  2. アヒトペル は アブサロム に 言った， 「あなたの 父が 家を 守るために 殘された， めかけたちの 所にはいりなさい． そうすれば イスラエル は 皆あなたが 父上に 憎まれることを 聞くでしょう． そしてあなたと 一緖にいる 者の 手は 强くなるでしょう 」．
  3. こうして 彼らが アブサロム のために 屋上に 天幕を 張ったので， アブサロム は 全 イスラエル の 目の 前で 父のめかけたちの 所にはいった．
  4. そのころ アヒトペル が 授ける 計りごとは 人が 神のみ 告げを 伺うようであった． アヒトペル の 計りごとは 皆 ダビデ にも アブサロム にも 共にそのように 思われた．
 
 
  1. Furthermore, Ahithophel said to Absalom, "Please let me choose 12,000 men that I may arise and pursue David tonight.
  2. "I will come upon him while he is weary and exhausted and terrify him, so that all the people who are with him will flee Then I will strike down the king alone,
  3. and I will bring back all the people to you. The return of everyone depends on the man you seek; then all the people will be at peace."
  4. So the plan pleased Absalom and all the elders of Israel.
  5. Then Absalom said, "Now call Hushai the Archite also, and let us hear what he has to say."
  1. 時に アヒトペル は アブサロム に 言った， 「わたしに 一万二千の 人を 選び 出させてください． わたしは 立って， 今夜 ダビデ のあとを 追い，
  2. 彼が 疲れて 手が 弱くなっているところを 襲って， 彼をあわてさせましょう． そして 彼と 共にいる 民がみな 逃げるとき， わたしは 王ひとりを 擊ち 取り，
  3. すべての 民を 花嫁がその 夫のもとに 歸るようにあなたに 歸らせましょう． あなたが 求めておられるのはただひとりの 命だけですから， 民はみな 穩やかになるでしょう 」．
  4. この 言葉は アブサロム と イスラエル のすべての 長老の 心にかなった．
  5. そこで アブサロム は 言った， 「アルキ びと ホシャイ をも 呼びよせなさい． われわれは 彼の 言うことを 聞きましょう 」．
  1. When Hushai had come to Absalom, Absalom said to him, "Ahithophel has spoken thus. Shall we carry out his plan? If not, you speak."
  2. So Hushai said to Absalom, "This time the advice that Ahithophel has given is not good."
  3. Moreover, Hushai said, "You know your father and his men, that they are mighty men and they are fierce, like a bear robbed of her cubs in the field. And your father is an expert in warfare, and will not spend the night with the people.
  4. "Behold, he has now hidden himself in one of the caves or in another place; and it will be when he falls on them at the first attack, that whoever hears it will say, 'There has been a slaughter among the people who follow Absalom.'
  5. "And even the one who is valiant, whose heart is like the heart of a lion, will completely lose heart; for all Israel knows that your father is a mighty man and those who are with him are valiant men.
  1. ホシャイ が アブサロム のもとにきた 時， アブサロム は 彼に 言った， 「アヒトペル はこのように 言った． われわれは 彼の 言葉のように 行うべきか． いけないのであれば， 言いなさい 」．
  2. ホシャイ は アブサロム に 言った， 「このたび アヒトペル が 授けた 計りごとは 良くありません 」．
  3. ホシャイ はまた 言った， 「ごぞんじのように， あなたの 父とその 從者たちとは 勇士です． その 上彼らは， 野で 子を 奪われた 熊のように， ひどく 怒っています． また， あなたの 父はいくさびとですから， 民と 共に 宿らないでしょう．

  1. "But I counsel that all Israel be surely gathered to you, from Dan even to Beersheba, as the sand that is by the sea in abundance, and that you personally go into battle.
  2. "So we shall come to him in one of the places where he can be found, and we will fall on him as the dew falls on the ground; and of him and of all the men who are with him, not even one will be left.
  3. "If he withdraws into a city, then all Israel shall bring ropes to that city, and we will drag it into the valley until not even a small stone is found there."
  4. Then Absalom and all the men of Israel said, "The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel." For the LORD had ordained to thwart the good counsel of Ahithophel, so that the LORD might bring calamity on Absalom.
  1. ところでわたしの 計りごとは， イスラエル を ダン から ベエルシバ まで， 海べの 砂のように 多くあなたのもとに 集めて， あなたみずから 戰いに 臨むことです．
  2. こうしてわれわれは 彼の 見つかる 場所で 彼を 襲い， つゆが 地におりるように 彼の 上に 下る． そして 彼および 彼と 共にいるすべての 人をひとりも 殘さないでしょう．
  3. もし 彼がいずれかの 町に 退くならば， 全 イスラエル はその 町になわをかけ， われわれはそれを 谷に 引き 倒して， そこに 一つの 小石も 見られないようにするでしょう 」．
  4. アブサロム と イスラエル の 人¿はみな， 「アルキ びと ホシャイ の 計りごとは， アヒトペル の 計りごとよりもよい 」と 言った． それは 主が アブサロム に 災を 下そうとして， アヒトペル の 良い 計りごとを 破ることを 定められたからである．
