- Saul was in hearty agreement with putting him to death And on that day a great persecution began against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.
- Some devout men buried Stephen, and made loud lamentation over him.
- But Saul began ravaging the church, entering house after house, and dragging off men and women, he would put them in prison.
- Therefore, those who had been scattered went about preaching the word.
- Philip went down to the city of Samaria and began proclaiming Christ to them.

- サウロ は， ステパノ を 殺すことに 贊成していた． その 日， エルサレム の 敎會に 對して 大迫害が 起り， 使徒以外の 者はことごとく， ユダヤ と サマリヤ との 地方に 散らされて 行った．
- 信仰深い 人たちは ステパノ を 葬り， 彼のために 胸を 打って， 非常に 悲しんだ．
- ところが， サウロ は 家¿に 押し 入って， 男や 女を 引きずり 出し， 次¿に 獄に 渡して， 敎會を 荒し 回った．
- さて， 散らされて 行った 人たちは， 御言を 宣べ 傳えながら， めぐり 步いた．
- ピリポ は サマリヤ の 町に 下って 行き， 人¿に キリスト を 宣べはじめた．

- The crowds with one accord were giving attention to what was said by Philip, as they heard and saw the signs which he was performing.
- For in the case of many who had unclean spirits, they were coming out of them shouting with a loud voice; and many who had been paralyzed and lame were healed.
- So there was much rejoicing in that city.
- Now there was a man named Simon, who formerly was practicing magic in the city and astonishing the people of Samaria, claiming to be someone great;
- and they all, from smallest to greatest, were giving attention to him, saying, "This man is what is called the Great Power of God."

- 群衆は ピリポ の 話を 聞き， その 行っていたしるしを 見て， こぞって 彼の 語ることに 耳を 傾けた．
- 汚れた 靈につかれた 多くの 人¿からは， その 靈が 大聲でわめきながら 出て 行くし， また， 多くの 中風をわずらっている 者や， 足のきかない 者がいやされたからである．
- それで， この 町では 人¿が， 大變なよろこびかたであった．
- さて， この 町に 以前から シモン という 人がいた． 彼は 魔術を 行って サマリヤ の 人たちを 驚かし， 自分をさも 偉い 者のように 言いふらしていた．
- それで， 小さい 者から 大きい 者にいたるまで 皆， 彼について 行き， 「この 人こそは『大能 』と 呼ばれる 神の 力である 」と 言っていた．

- And they were giving him attention because he had for a long time astonished them with his magic arts.
- But when they believed Philip preaching the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were being baptized, men and women alike.
- Even Simon himself believed; and after being baptized, he continued on with Philip, and as he observed signs and great miracles taking place, he was constantly amazed.
- Now when the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent them Peter and John,
- who came down and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit.

- 彼らがこの 人について 行ったのは， ながい 間その 魔術に 驚かされていたためであった．
- ところが， ピリポ が 神の 國と イエス · キリスト の 名について 宣べ 傳えるに 及んで， 男も 女も 信じて， ぞくぞくと バプテスマ を 受けた．
- シモン 自身も 信じて， バプテスマ を 受け， それから， 引きつづき ピリポ について 行った． そして， 數¿のしるしやめざましい 奇跡が 行われるのを 見て， 驚いていた．
- エルサレム にいる 使徒たちは， サマリヤ の 人¿が， 神の 言を 受け 入れたと 聞いて， ペテロ と ヨハネ とを， そこにつかわした．
- ふたりは サマリヤ に 下って 行って， みんなが 聖靈を 受けるようにと， 彼らのために 祈った．

- For He had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
- Then they began laying their hands on them, and they were receiving the Holy Spirit.
- Now when Simon saw that the Spirit was bestowed through the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money,
- saying, "Give this authority to me as well, so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit."
- But Peter said to him, "May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!

- それは， 彼らはただ 主 イエス の 名によって バプテスマ を 受けていただけで， 聖靈はまだだれにも 下っていなかったからである．
- そこで， ふたりが 手を 彼らの 上においたところ， 彼らは 聖靈を 受けた．
- シモン は， 使徒たちが 手をおいたために， 御靈が 人¿に 授けられたのを 見て， 金をさし 出し，
- 「わたしが 手をおけばだれにでも 聖靈が 授けられるように， その 力をわたしにも 下さい 」と 言った．
- そこで， ペテロ が 彼に 言った， 「おまえの 金は， おまえもろとも， うせてしまえ． 神の 賜物が， 金で 得られるなどと 思っているのか．

- "You have no part or portion in this matter, for your heart is not right before God.
- "Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray the Lord that, if possible, the intention of your heart may be forgiven you.
- "For I see that you are in the gall of bitterness and in the bondage of iniquity."
- But Simon answered and said, "Pray to the Lord for me yourselves, so that nothing of what you have said may come upon me."
- So, when they had solemnly testified and spoken the word of the Lord, they started back to Jerusalem, and were preaching the gospel to many villages of the Samaritans.

- おまえの 心が， 神の 前に 正しくないから， おまえは， とうてい， この 事にあずかることができない．
- だから， この 惡事を 悔いて， 主に 祈れ． そうすればあるいはそんな 思いを 心にいだいたことが， ゆるされるかも 知れない．
- おまえには， まだ 苦い 膽汁があり， 不義のなわ 目がからみついている． それが， わたしにわかっている 」．
- シモン はこれを 聞いて 言った， 「仰せのような 事が， わたしの 身に 起らないように， どうぞ， わたしのために 主に 祈って 下さい 」．
- 使徒たちは 力强くあかしをなし， また 主の 言を 語った 後， サマリヤ 人の 多くの 村¿に 福音を 宣べ 傳えて， エルサレム に 歸った．
