	역대하 35:1-36:23 요시야는 이스라엘 백성에게 유월절을 지키게 하였으나, 하나님의 입에서 나온 애굽 왕 느고의 말을 듣지 않고 애굽과 싸우다가 므깃도 전투에서 죽임을 당하였다. 그 후 그의 아들 여호아하스가 왕위에 올랐으나 애굽의 포로가 되었고, 뒤이어 왕위에 오른 여호야김과 여호야긴도 바벨론의 포로가 되었다. 그리고 하나님 보시기에 악을 행한 시드기야로 인해 결국 유다는 멸망하였다.

	유월절 준수(35:1-35:27)

Then Josiah celebrated the Passover to the LORD in Jerusalem, and they slaughtered the Passover animals on the fourteenth day of the first month.

He set the priests in their offices and encouraged them in the service of the house of the LORD.

He also said to the Levites who taught all Israel and who were holy to the LORD, "Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel built; it will be a burden on your shoulders no longer. Now serve the LORD your God and His people Israel.

"Prepare yourselves by your fathers' households in your divisions, according to the writing of David king of Israel and according to the writing of his son Solomon.

"Moreover, stand in the holy place according to the sections of the fathers' households of your brethren the lay people, and according to the Levites, by division of a father's household.

ヨシヤはエルサレムで主に過越の祭を行った．すなわち正月の十四日に過越の小羊をほふらせ，

祭司にその職務をとり行わせ，彼らを勵まして主の宮の務をさせ，

また主の聖なる者となってすべてのイスラエルびとを敎えるレビびとに言った，「あなたがたはイスラエルの王ダビデの子ソロモンの建てた宮に，聖なる箱を置きなさい．再びこれを肩にになうに及ばない．あなたがたの神，主およびその民イスラエルに仕えなさい．

あなたがたはイスラエルの王ダビデの書，およびその子ソロモンの書に基いて氏族にしたがい，その班によって，みずから備えをなし，

あなたがたの兄弟である民の人¿の氏族の區分にしたがって聖所に立ち，このためにレビびとの氏族の分が欠けることのないようにしなさい．

"Now slaughter the Passover animals, sanctify yourselves and prepare for your brethren to do according to the word of the LORD by Moses."

Josiah contributed to the lay people, to all who were present, flocks of lambs and young goats, all for the Passover offerings, numbering 30,000 plus 3,000 bulls; these were from the king's possessions.

His officers also contributed a freewill offering to the people, the priests and the Levites. Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, the officials of the house of God, gave to the priests for the Passover offerings 2,600 from the flocks and 300 bulls.

Conaniah also, and Shemaiah and Nethanel, his brothers, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, the officers of the Levites, contributed to the Levites for the Passover offerings 5,000 from the flocks and 500 bulls.

So the service was prepared, and the priests stood at their stations and the Levites by their divisions according to the king's command.

あなたがたは過越の小羊をほふり，身を淸め，あなたがたの兄弟のために備えをし，モ ― セが傳えた主の言葉にしたがって行いなさい」．

ヨシヤは，小羊および子やぎを民の人¿に贈った．これは皆その所にいるすべての人のための過越の供え物であって，その數三万，また雄牛三千を贈った．それらは王の所有から出したのである．

そのつかさたちも民と祭司とレビびとに眞心から贈った．また神の宮のつかさたちヒルキヤ，ゼカリヤ，エヒエルも小羊と子やぎ二千六百頭，牛三百頭を祭司に與えて過越の供え物とした．

またレビびとの長である人¿すなわちコナニヤおよびその兄弟シマヤ，ネタンエルならびにハシャビヤ，エイエル，ヨザバデなども小羊と子やぎ五千頭，牛五百頭をレビびとに贈って過越の供え物とした．

このように勤めのことが備わったので，王の命に從って祭司たちはその持ち場に立ち，レビびとはその班に從って仕え，

They slaughtered the Passover animals, and while the priests sprinkled the blood received from their hand, the Levites skinned them.

Then they removed the burnt offerings that they might give them to the sections of the fathers' households of the lay people to present to the LORD, as it is written in the book of Moses. They did this also with the bulls.

So they roasted the Passover animals on the fire according to the ordinance, and they boiled the holy things in pots, in kettles, in pans, and carried them speedily to all the lay people.

Afterwards they prepared for themselves and for the priests, because the priests, the sons of Aaron, were offering the burnt offerings and the fat until night; therefore the Levites prepared for themselves and for the priests, the sons of Aaron.

The singers, the sons of Asaph, were also at their stations according to the command of David, Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun the king's seer; and the gatekeepers at each gate did not have to depart from their service, because the Levites their brethren prepared for them.

やがて過越の小羊がほふられたので，祭司はその血を受け取って注いだ．レビびとはその皮をはいだ．

それから §祭の物をとり分け，それを民の人¿の氏族の區分に從って渡し，主にささげさせた．これはモ ― セの書にしるされたとおりである．また牛をもこのようにした．

そして定めに從って過越の小羊を火であぶり，その他の聖なる供え物を深なべ，かま，淺なべなどに煮て，急いですべての民の人¿にくばった．

So all the service of the LORD was prepared on that day to celebrate the Passover, and to offer burnt offerings on the altar of the LORD according to the command of King Josiah.

Thus the sons of Israel who were present celebrated the Passover at that time, and the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days.

There had not been celebrated a Passover like it in Israel since the days of Samuel the prophet; nor had any of the kings of Israel celebrated such a Passover as Josiah did with the priests, the Levites, all Judah and Israel who were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

In the eighteenth year of Josiah's reign this Passover was celebrated.

After all this, when Josiah had set the temple in order, Neco king of Egypt came up to make war at Carchemish on the Euphrates, and Josiah went out to engage him.

このようにその日，主の勤めの事がことごとく備わったので，ヨシヤ王の命に從って過越の祭を行い，主の祭壇に §祭をささげた．

ここに來ていたイスラエルの人¿は，そのとき過越の祭を行い，また七日の間，種入れぬパンの祭を行った．

預言者サムエルの日からこのかた，イスラエルでこのような過越の祭を行ったことはなかった．またイスラエルの諸王のうちには，ヨシヤが，祭司，レビびと，ならびにそこに來たユダとイスラエルのすべての人¿，およびエルサレムの住民と共に行ったような過越の祭を行った者はひとりもなかった．

この過越の祭はヨシヤの治世の第十八年に行われた．

このようにヨシヤが宮を整えた後，エジプトの王ネコはユフラテ川のほとりにあるカルケミシで戰うために上ってきたので，ヨシヤはこれを防ごうと出て行った．

But Neco sent messengers to him, saying, "What have we to do with each other, O King of Judah? I am not coming against you today but against the house with which I am at war, and God has ordered me to hurry. Stop for your own sake from interfering with God who is with me, so that He will not destroy you."

However, Josiah would not turn away from him, but disguised himself in order to make war with him; nor did he listen to the words of Neco from the mouth of God, but came to make war on the plain of Megiddo.

The archers shot King Josiah, and the king said to his servants, "Take me away, for I am badly wounded."

So his servants took him out of the chariot and carried him in the second chariot which he had, and brought him to Jerusalem where he died and was buried in the tombs of his fathers. All Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.

Then Jeremiah chanted a lament for Josiah. And all the male and female singers speak about Josiah in their lamentations to this day. And they made them an ordinance in Israel; behold, they are also written in the Lamentations.

しかしネコは彼に使者をつかわして言った，「ユダの王よ，われわれはお互に何のあずかるところがありますか．わたしはきょう，あなたを攻めようとして來たのではありません．わたしの敵の家を攻めようとして來たのです．神がわたしに命じて急がせています．わたしと共におられる神に逆らうことをやめなさい．そうしないと，神はあなたを滅ぼされるでしょう」．

しかしヨシヤは引き返すことを好まず，かえって彼と戰うために，姿を變え，神の口から出たネコの言葉を聞きいれず，行ってメギドの谷で戰ったが，

射手の者どもがヨシヤを射あてたので，王はその家來たちに，「わたしを助け出せ．わたしはひどく傷ついた」と言った．

そこで家來たちは彼を車から助け出し，王のもっていた第二の車に乘せてエルサレムにつれて行ったが，ついに死んだので，その先祖の墓にこれを葬った．そしてユダとエルサレムは皆ヨシヤのために悲しんだ．

時にエレミヤはヨシヤのために哀歌を作った．歌うたう男，歌うたう女は今日に至るまで，その哀歌のうちにヨシヤのことを述べ，イスラエルのうちにこれを例とした．これは哀歌のうちにしるされている．

Now the rest of the acts of Josiah and his deeds of devotion as written in the law of the LORD,

and his acts, first to last, behold, they are written in the Book of the Kings of Israel and Judah.

ヨシヤのその他の行爲，主の律法にしるされた所に從って行った德行，

およびその始終の行いなどは，イスラエルとユダの列王の書にしるされている．

	유다의 멸망(36:1-36:23)

Then the people of the land took Joahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in place of his father in Jerusalem.

Joahaz was twenty-three years old when he became king, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.

Then the king of Egypt deposed him at Jerusalem, and imposed on the land a fine of one hundred talents of silver and one talent of gold.

The king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and changed his name to Jehoiakim. But Neco took Joahaz his brother and brought him to Egypt.

Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem; and he did evil in the sight of the LORD his God.

國の民はヨシヤの子エホアハズを立て，エルサレムでその父に代って王とならせた．

エホアハズは王となった時二十三歲で，エルサレムで三月の間，世を治めたが，

エジプトの王はエルサレムで彼を廢し，かつ銀百タラント，金一タラントの罰金を國に課した．

そしてエジプト王は彼の兄弟エリアキムをユダとエルサレムの王とし，その名をエホヤキムと改め，その兄弟エホアハズを捕えてエジプトへ引いて行った．

エホヤキムは王となった時二十五歲で，十一年の間エルサレムで世を治めた．彼はその神，主の前に惡を行った．

Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against him and bound him with bronze chains to take him to Babylon.

Nebuchadnezzar also brought some of the articles of the house of the LORD to Babylon and put them in his temple at Babylon.

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim and the abominations which he did, and what was found against him, behold, they are written in the Book of the Kings of Israel and Judah. And Jehoiachin his son became king in his place.

Jehoiachin was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem, and he did evil in the sight of the LORD.

At the turn of the year King Nebuchadnezzar sent and brought him to Babylon with the valuable articles of the house of the LORD, and he made his kinsman Zedekiah king over Judah and Jerusalem.

時に，バビロンの王ネブカデネザルが彼の所に攻め上り，彼をバビロンに引いて行こうとして，かせにつないだ．

ネブカデネザルはまた主の宮の器物をバビロンに運んで行って，バビロンにあるその宮殿にそれをおさめた．

エホヤキムのその他の行爲，その行った憎むべき事および彼がひそかに行った事などは，イスラエルとユダの列王の書にしるされている．その子エホヤキンが彼に代って王となった．

Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem.

He did evil in the sight of the LORD his God; he did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet who spoke for the LORD.

He also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar who had made him swear allegiance by God But he stiffened his neck and hardened his heart against turning to the LORD God of Israel.

Furthermore, all the officials of the priests and the people were very unfaithful following all the abominations of the nations; and they defiled the house of the LORD which He had sanctified in Jerusalem.

The LORD, the God of their fathers, sent word to them again and again by His messengers, because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place;

ゼデキヤは王となった時二十一歲で，十一年の間エルサレムで世を治めた．

彼はその神，主の前に惡を行い，主の言葉を傳える預言者エレミヤの前に，身をひくくしなかった．

彼はまた，彼に神をさして誓わせたネブカデネザル王にもそむいた．彼は强情で，その心をかたくなにして，イスラエルの神，主に立ち返らなかった．

but they continually mocked the messengers of God, despised His words and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against His people, until there was no remedy.

Therefore He brought up against them the king of the Chaldeans who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or infirm; He gave them all into his hand.

All the articles of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king and of his officers, he brought them all to Babylon.

Then they burned the house of God and broke down the wall of Jerusalem, and burned all its fortified buildings with fire and destroyed all its valuable articles.

Those who had escaped from the sword he carried away to Babylon; and they were servants to him and to his sons until the rule of the kingdom of Persia,

彼らが神の使者たちをあざけり，その言葉を輕んじ，その預言者たちをののしったので，主の怒りがその民に向かって起り，ついに救うことができないようになった．

そこで主はカルデヤびとの王を彼らに攻めこさせられたので，彼はその聖所の家でつるぎをもって若者たちを殺し，若者をも，處女をも，老人をも，しらがの者をもあわれまなかった．主は彼らをことごとく彼の手に渡された．

彼は神の宮のもろもろの大小の器物，主の宮の貨財，王とそのつかさたちの貨財など，すべてこれをバビロンに携えて行き，

神の宮を燒き，エルサレムの城壁をくずし，そのうちの宮殿をことごとく火で燒き，そのうちの尊い器物をことごとくこわした．

彼はまたつるぎをのがれた者どもを，バビロンに捕えて行って，彼とその子らの家來となし，ペルシャの國の興るまで，そうして置いた．

to fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its sabbaths All the days of its desolation it kept sabbath until seventy years were complete.

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia--in order to fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah--the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he sent a proclamation throughout his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,

"Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, 'The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and He has appointed me to build Him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever there is among you of all His people, may the LORD his God be with him, and let him go up!'"

これはエレミヤの口によって傳えられた主の言葉の成就するためであった．こうして國はついにその安息をうけた．すなわちこれはその荒れている間，安息して，ついに七十年が滿ちた．

ペルシャ王クロスの元年に當り，主はエレミヤの口によって傳えた主の言葉を成就するため，ペルシャ王クロスの靈を感動されたので，王はあまねく國中にふれ示し，またそれを書き示して言った，

「ペルシャの王クロスはこう言う，『天の神，主は地上の國¿をことごとくわたしに賜わって，主の宮をユダにあるエルサレムに建てることをわたしに命じられた．あなたがたのうち，その民である者は皆，その神，主の助けを得て上って行きなさい』」．
