에스라

  본서는 하나님께서 예레미야를 통해 말씀하신 예언(렘 29:10-14), 즉 이스라엘 민족을 70년간의 포로 생활 후 다시 가나안 땅으로 인도하시리라는 약속의 성취 과정을 기록하고 있다. 그래서 이스라엘의 회복, 신앙과 예배의 구심적인 성전 재건, 야웨 신앙의 순수성 확립을 강조하고 있다.

  이스라엘 민족의 귀환은 3차에 걸쳐 이루어졌는데, 1,2차 귀환의 내용이 본서에 기록되고 있다. 1차 귀환과 성전 재건은 스룹바벨과 예수아를 중심으로 이루어졌으며, 2차 귀환은 에스라를 중심으로 이루어졌다. 에스라는 도덕적, 영적으로 폐허가 된 유대인들의 마음에 하나님의 법을 재건하는 신앙 개혁 운동을 일으켰다.

 

 

에스라 1:1-2:70

 하나님께서는 바사 왕 고레스의 마음을 감동시키셔서 이스라엘 백성에게 유다 예루살렘에 올라가 하나님의 전을 건축하라는 조서를 내리게 하셨다. 바벨론에서의 포로 생활을 청산하고 예루살렘으로 귀환한 사람들의 명단이 기록되어 있다.
  
  고레스의 조서(1:1-1:11)    
 
  1. Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he sent a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying:
  2. "Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, 'The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and He has appointed me to build Him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
  3. 'Whoever there is among you of all His people, may his God be with him! Let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah and rebuild the house of the LORD, the God of Israel; He is the God who is in Jerusalem.
  4. 'Every survivor, at whatever place he may live, let the men of that place support him with silver and gold, with goods and cattle, together with a freewill offering for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.'"
  5. Then the heads of fathers' households of Judah and Benjamin and the priests and the Levites arose, even everyone whose spirit God had stirred to go up and rebuild the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem.
  1. ペルシャ 王 クロス の 元年に， 主はさきに エレミヤ の 口によって 傳えられた 主の 言葉を 成就するため， ペルシャ 王 クロス の 心を 感動されたので， 王は 全國に 布告を 發し， また 詔書をもって 告げて 言った，
  2. 「ペルシャ 王 クロス はこのように 言う， 天の 神， 主は 地上の 國¿をことごとくわたしに 下さって， 主の 宮を ユダ にある エルサレム に 建てることをわたしに 命じられた．
  3. あなたがたのうち， その 民である 者は 皆その 神の 助けを 得て， ユダ にある エルサレム に 上って 行き， イスラエル の 神， 主の 宮を 復興せよ． 彼は エルサレム にいます 神である．
  4. すべて 生き 殘って， どこに 宿っている 者でも， その 所の 人¿は 金， 銀， 貨財， 家畜をもって 助け， そのほかにまた エルサレム にある 神の 宮のために 眞心よりの 供え 物をささげよ 」．
  5. そこで ユダ と ベニヤミン の 氏族の 長， 祭司および レビ びとなど， すべて 神にその 心を 感動された 者は， エルサレム にある 主の 宮を 復興するために 上って 行こうと 立ち 上がった．
  1. All those about them encouraged them with articles of silver, with gold, with goods, with cattle and with valuables, aside from all that was given as a freewill offering.
  2. Also King Cyrus brought out the articles of the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had carried away from Jerusalem and put in the house of his gods;
  3. and Cyrus, king of Persia, had them brought out by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and he counted them out to Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.
  4. Now this was their number: 30 gold dishes, 1,000 silver dishes, 29 duplicates;
  5. 30 gold bowls, 410 silver bowls of a second kind and 1,000 other articles.
  1. その 周圍の 人¿は 皆， 銀の 器， 金， 貨財， 家畜および 寶物を 與えて 彼らを 力づけ， そのほかにまた， もろもろの 物を 惜しげなくささげた．
  2. クロス 王はまた ネブカデネザル が， さきに エルサレム から 携え 出して 自分の 神の 宮に 納めた 主の 宮の 器を 取り 出した．
  3. すなわち ペルシャ 王 クロス は 倉づかさ ミテレダテ の 手によってこれを 取り 出して， ユダ のつかさ セシバザル に 數え 渡した．
  4. その 數は 次のとりである． 金のたらい 一千， 銀のたらい 一千， 香爐二十九，
  5. 金の 鉢三十， 銀の 鉢二千四百十， その 他の 器一千，
  1. All the articles of gold and silver numbered 5,400. Sheshbazzar brought them all up with the exiles who went up from Babylon to Jerusalem.
  1. 金銀の 器は 合わせて 五千四百六十九あったが， セシバザル は 捕囚を 連れて バビロン から エルサレム に 上った 時， これらのものをことごとく 携えて 上った．
 
  귀환자 명단(2:1-2:70)    
 
  1. Now these are the people of the province who came up out of the captivity of the exiles whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away to Babylon, and returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his city.
  2. These came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum and Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:
  3. the sons of Parosh, 2,172;
  4. the sons of Shephatiah, 372;
  5. the sons of Arah, 775;
  1. バビロン の 王 ネブカデネザル に 捕えられて， バビロン に 移された 者のうち， 捕囚をゆるされて エルサレム および ユダ に 上って， おのおの 自分の 町に 歸ったこの 州の 人¿は 次のとおりである．
  2. 彼らは ゼルバベル ， エシュア ， ネヘミヤ ， セラヤ ， レエラヤ ， モルデカイ ， ビルシャン ， ミスパル ， ビグワイ ， レホム ， バアナ と 共に 歸ってきた． その イスラエル の 民の 人數は 次のとおりである．

  4. the sons of Zaccai, 760;
  5. the sons of Bani, 642;
  1. パハテ · モアブ の 子孫すなわち エシュア と ヨアブ の 子孫は 二千八百十二人，
  2. エラム の 子孫は 一千二百五十四人，
  3. ザット の 子孫は 九百四十五人，

  1. the sons of Bebai, 623;
  2. the sons of Azgad, 1,222;

  1. アテル の 子孫すなわち ヒゼキヤ の 子孫は 九十八人，
  2. ベザイ の 子孫は 三百二十三人，
  3. ヨラ の 子孫は 百十二人，
  4. ハシュム の 子孫は 二百二十三人，
  5. ギバル の 子孫は 九十五人，
  1. the men of Bethlehem, 123;
  2. the men of Netophah, 56;
  3. the men of Anathoth, 128;
  4. the sons of Azmaveth, 42;
  5. the sons of Kiriath-arim, Chephirah and Beeroth, 743;
  1. ベツレヘム の 子孫は 百二十三人，

  1. the sons of Ramah and Geba, 621;
  2. the men of Michmas, 122;
  3. the men of Bethel and Ai, 223;

  5. the sons of Magbish, 156;
  1. ラマ および ゲバ の 子孫は 六百二十一人，
  2. ミクマシ の 人¿は 百二十二人，

  2. ハリム の 子孫は 三百二十人，
  3. ロド ， ハデデ および オノ の 子孫は 七百二十五人，

  1. The priests: the sons of Jedaiah of the house of Jeshua, 973;
  2. the sons of Immer, 1,052;
  3. the sons of Pashhur, 1,247;
  4. the sons of Harim, 1,017.
  5. The Levites: the sons of Jeshua and Kadmiel, of the sons of Hodaviah, 74.
  1. 祭司は， エシュア の 家の エダヤ の 子孫九百七十三人，
  2. インメル の 子孫一千五十二人，
  3. パシュル の 子孫一千二百四十七人，
  4. ハリム の 子孫一千十七人．
  5. レビ びとは， ホダヤ の 子孫すなわち エシュア と カデミエル の 子孫七十四人．
  1. The singers: the sons of Asaph, 128.
  2. The sons of the gatekeepers: the sons of Shallum, the sons of Ater, the sons of Talmon, the sons of Akkub, the sons of Hatita, the sons of Shobai, in all 139.
  3. The temple servants: the sons of Ziha, the sons of Hasupha, the sons of Tabbaoth,
  4. the sons of Keros, the sons of Siaha, the sons of Padon,
  5. the sons of Lebanah, the sons of Hagabah, the sons of Akkub,
  1. 歌うたう 者は， アサフ の 子孫百二十八人．
  2. 門衛の 子孫は， シャルム の 子孫， アテル の 子孫， タルモン の 子孫， アックブ の 子孫， ハテタ の 子孫， ショバイ の 子孫合わせて 百三十九人．
  3. 宮に 仕えるしもべたちは， ヂハ の 子孫， ハスパ の 子孫， タバオテ の 子孫，
  4. ケロス の 子孫， シアハ の 子孫， パドン の 子孫，
  5. レバナ の 子孫， ハガバ の 子孫， アックブ の 子孫，
  1. the sons of Hagab, the sons of Shalmai, the sons of Hanan,
  2. the sons of Giddel, the sons of Gahar, the sons of Reaiah,
  3. the sons of Rezin, the sons of Nekoda, the sons of Gazzam,
  4. the sons of Uzza, the sons of Paseah, the sons of Besai,
  5. the sons of Asnah, the sons of Meunim, the sons of Nephisim,
  1. ハガブ の 子孫， シャルマイ の 子孫， ハナン の 子孫，
  2. ギデル の 子孫， ガハル の 子孫， レアヤ の 子孫，

  1. the sons of Bakbuk, the sons of Hakupha, the sons of Harhur,

  3. the sons of Barkos, the sons of Sisera, the sons of Temah,
  4. the sons of Neziah, the sons of Hatipha.
  5. The sons of Solomon's servants: the sons of Sotai, the sons of Hassophereth, the sons of Peruda,
  1. バクブク の 子孫， ハクパ の 子孫， ハルホル の 子孫，
  2. バヅリテ の 子孫， メヒダ の 子孫， ハルシャ の 子孫，
  3. バルコス の 子孫， シセラ の 子孫， テマ の 子孫，
  4. ネヂア の 子孫， ハテパ の 子孫である．
  5. ソロモン のしもべたちの 子孫は， ソタイ の 子孫， ハッソペレテ の 子孫， ペリダ の 子孫，
  1. the sons of Jaalah, the sons of Darkon, the sons of Giddel,
  2. the sons of Shephatiah, the sons of Hattil, the sons of Pochereth-hazzebaim, the sons of Ami.
  3. All the temple servants and the sons of Solomon's servants were 392.
  4. Now these are those who came up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Cherub, Addan and Immer, but they were not able to give evidence of their fathers' households and their descendants, whether they were of Israel:
  5. the sons of Delaiah, the sons of Tobiah, the sons of Nekoda, 652.
  1. ヤアラ の 子孫， ダルコン の 子孫， ギデル の 子孫，
  2. シパテヤ の 子孫， ハッテル の 子孫， ポケレテ · ハッゼバイム の 子孫， アミ の 子孫．
  3. 宮に 仕えるしもべたちと ソロモン のしもべたちの 子孫とは 合わせて 三百九十二人．
  4. 次にあげる 人¿は テル · メラ ， テル · ハレサ ， ケルブ ， アダン および インメル から 上って 來た 者であったが， 彼らはその 氏族とその 血統とを 示して， その イスラエル の 者であることを 明らかにすることができなかった．
  5. すなわち デラヤ の 子孫， トビヤ の 子孫， ネコダ の 子孫で 合わせて 六百五十二人．
  1. Of the sons of the priests: the sons of Habaiah, the sons of Hakkoz, the sons of Barzillai, who took a wife from the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and he was called by their name.
  2. These searched among their ancestral registration, but they could not be located; therefore they were considered unclean and excluded from the priesthood.
  3. The governor said to them that they should not eat from the most holy things until a priest stood up with Urim and Thummim.
  4. The whole assembly numbered 42,360,
  5. besides their male and female servants who numbered 7,337; and they had 200 singing men and women.
  1. 祭司の 子孫のうちには ハバヤ の 子孫， ハッコヅ の 子孫， バルジライ の 子孫があった． バルジライ は ギレアデ びと バルジライ の 娘たちのうちから 妻をめとったので， その 名で 呼ばれることになった．
  2. これらの 者は 系譜に 載った 者たちのうちに 自分の 名を 尋ねたが 見いだされなかったので， 汚れた 者として， 祭司の 職から 除かれた．
  3. 總督は 彼らに 告げて， ウリム と トンミム を 身につける 祭司の 興るまでは， いと 聖なる 物を 食べてはならないと 言った．
  4. 會衆は 合わせて 四万二千三百六十人であった．
  5. このほかに， しもべおよびはしため 合わせて 七千三百三十七人， また 歌うたう 男女二百人あった．
  1. Their horses were 736; their mules, 245;
  2. their camels, 435; their donkeys, 6,720.
  3. Some of the heads of fathers' households, when they arrived at the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem, offered willingly for the house of God to restore it on its foundation.
  4. According to their ability they gave to the treasury for the work 61,000 gold drachmas and 5,000 silver minas and 100 priestly garments.
  5. Now the priests and the Levites, some of the people, the singers, the gatekeepers and the temple servants lived in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
  1. その 馬は 七百三十六頭， その ¿馬は 二百四十五頭，
  2. そのらくだは 四百三十五頭， そのろばは 六千七百二十頭あった．
  3. 氏族の 長數人は エルサレム にある 主の 宮の 所にきた 時， 神の 宮をもとの 所に 建てるために 眞心よりの 供え 物をささげた．
  4. すなわち， その 力に 從って 工事のために 倉に 納めたものは， 金六万一千 ダリク ， 銀五千 ミナ ， 祭司の 衣服百かさねであった．
  5. 祭司， レビ びと， および 民のある 者は エルサレム およびその 近郊に 住み， 歌うたう 者， 門衛および 宮に 仕えるしもべたちはその 町¿に 住み， 一般の イスラエル びとは 自分たちの 町¿に 住んだ．
