- Paul, an apostle (not sent from men nor through the agency of man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead),
- and all the brethren who are with me, To the churches of Galatia:
- Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,
- who gave Himself for our sins so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,
- to whom be the glory forevermore. Amen.

- 人¿からでもなく， 人によってでもなく， イエス · キリスト と 彼を 死人の 中からよみがえらせた 父なる 神とによって 立てられた 使徒 パウロ ，
- ならびにわたしと 共にいる 兄弟たち 一同から， ガラテヤ の 諸敎會へ．
- わたしたちの 父なる 神と 主 イエス · キリスト から， 惠みと 平安とが， あなたがたにあるように．
- キリスト は， わたしたちの 父なる 神の 御旨に 從い， わたしたちを 今の 惡の 世から 救い 出そうとして， ご 自身をわたしたちの 罪のためにささげられたのである．
- 榮光が 世¿限りなく 神にあるように， アァメン ．

- I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel;
- which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.
- But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!
- As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!
- For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.

- あなたがたがこんなにも 早く， あなたがたを キリスト の 惠みの 內へお 招きになったかたから 離れて， 違った 福音に 落ちていくことが， わたしには 不思議でならない．
- それは 福音というべきものではなく， ただ， ある 種の 人¿があなたがたをかき 亂し， キリスト の 福音を 曲げようとしているだけのことである．
- しかし， たといわたしたちであろうと， 天からの 御使であろうと， わたしたちが 宣べ 傳えた 福音に 反することをあなたがたに 宣べ 傳えるなら， その 人はのろわるべきである．
- わたしたちが 前に 言っておいたように， 今わたしは 重ねて 言う． もしある 人が， あなたがたの 受けいれた 福音に 反することを 宣べ 傳えているなら， その 人はのろわるべきである．
- 今わたしは， 人に 喜ばれようとしているのか， それとも， 神に 喜ばれようとしているのか． あるいは， 人の 歡心を 買おうと 努めているのか． もし， 今もなお 人の 歡心を 買おうとしているとすれば， わたしは キリスト の 僕ではあるまい．

- For I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man.
- For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.
- For you have heard of my former manner of life in Judaism, how I used to persecute the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it;
- and I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my countrymen, being more extremely zealous for my ancestral traditions.
- But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother's womb and called me through His grace, was pleased

- 兄弟たちよ． あなたがたに， はっきり 言っておく． わたしが 宣べ 傳えた 福音は 人間によるものではない．
- わたしは， それを 人間から 受けたのでも 敎えられたのでもなく， ただ イエス · キリスト の 啓示によったのである．
- ユダヤ 敎を 信じていたころのわたしの 行動については， あなたがたはすでによく 聞いている． すなわち， わたしは 激しく 神の 敎會を 迫害し， また 荒しまわっていた．
- そして， 同國人の 中でわたしと 同年輩の 多くの 者にまさって ユダヤ 敎に 精進し， 先祖たちの 言傳えに 對して， だれよりもはるかに 熱心であった．
- ところが， 母の 胎內にある 時からわたしを 聖別し， み 惠みをもってわたしをお 召しになったかたが，

- to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with flesh and blood,
- nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went away to Arabia, and returned once more to Damascus.
- Then three years later I went up to Jerusalem to become acquainted with Cephas, and stayed with him fifteen days.
- But I did not see any other of the apostles except James, the Lord's brother.
- (Now in what I am writing to you, I assure you before God that I am not lying.)

- 異邦人の 間に 宣べ 傳えさせるために， 御子をわたしの 內に 啓示して 下さった 時， わたしは 直ちに， 血肉に 相談もせず，
- また 先輩の 使徒たちに 會うために エルサレム にも 上らず， アラビヤ に 出て 行った． それから 再び ダマスコ に 歸った．
- その 後三年たってから， わたしは ケパ をたずねて エルサレム に 上り， 彼のもとに 十五日間， 滯在した．
- しかし， 主の 兄弟 ヤコブ 以外には， ほかのどの 使徒にも 會わなかった．
- ここに 書いていることは， 神のみまえで 言うが， 決して 僞りではない．

- Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
- I was still unknown by sight to the churches of Judea which were in Christ;
- but only, they kept hearing, "He who once persecuted us is now preaching the faith which he once tried to destroy."
- And they were glorifying God because of me.

- その 後， わたしは シリヤ と キリキヤ との 地方に 行った．
- しかし， キリスト にある ユダヤ の 諸敎會には， 顔を 知られていなかった．
- ただ 彼らは， 「かつて 自分たちを 迫害した 者が， 以前には 撲滅しようとしていたその 信仰を， 今は 宣べ 傳えている 」と 聞き，
- わたしのことで， 神をほめたたえた．
