베드로전서 2:11-3:7

 베드로는 나그네와 행인 같은 성도들은 국가의 위정자와 주인에게 순종하여야 한다고 강조했으며, 아내는 남편에게 순복하고 남편은 아내를 귀히 여기도록 권면하였다.
  
  나그네의 삶(2:11-2:17)    
 
  1. Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul.
  2. Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they slander you as evildoers, they may because of your good deeds, as they observe them, glorify God in the day of visitation.
  3. Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority,
  4. or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right.
  5. For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men.
  1. 愛する 者たちよ． あなたがたに 勸める． あなたがたは， この 世の 旅人であり 寄留者であるから， たましいに 戰いをいどむ 肉の 欲を 避けなさい．
  2. 異邦人の 中にあって， りっぱな 行いをしなさい． そうすれば， 彼らは， あなたがたを 惡人呼ばわりしていても， あなたがたのりっぱなわざを 見て， かえって， おとずれの 日に 神をあがめるようになろう．
  3. あなたがたは， すべて 人の 立てた 制度に， 主のゆえに 從いなさい． 主權者としての 王であろうと，
  4. あるいは， 惡を 行う 者を 罰し 善を 行う 者を 賞するために， 王からつかわされた 長官であろうと， これに 從いなさい．
  5. 善を 行うことによって， 愚かな 人¿の 無知な 發言を 封じるのは， 神の 御旨なのである．
  1. Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God.
  2. Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.
  1. 自由人にふさわしく 行動しなさい． ただし， 自由をば 惡を 行う 口實として 用いず， 神の 僕にふさわしく 行動しなさい．
  2. すべての 人をうやまい， 兄弟たちを 愛し， 神をおそれ， 王を 尊びなさい．
 
  그리스도의 고난(2:18-2:25)    
 
  1. Servants, be submissive to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and gentle, but also to those who are unreasonable.
  2. For this finds favor, if for the sake of conscience toward God a person bears up under sorrows when suffering unjustly.
  3. For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God.
  4. For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps,
  5. WHO COMMITTED NO SIN, NOR WAS ANY DECEIT FOUND IN HIS MOUTH;
  1. 僕たる 者よ． 心からのおそれをもって， 主人に 仕えなさい． 善良で 寬容な 主人だけにでなく， 氣むずかしい 主人にも， そうしなさい．
  2. もしだれかが， 不當な 苦しみを 受けても， 神を 仰いでその 苦痛を 耐え 忍ぶなら， それはよみせられることである．
  3. 惡いことをして 打ちたたかれ， それを 忍んだとしても， なんの 手柄になるのか． しかし 善を 行って 苦しみを 受け， しかもそれを 耐え 忍んでいるとすれば， これこそ 神によみせられることである．
  4. あなたがたは， 實に， そうするようにと 召されたのである． キリスト も， あなたがたのために 苦しみを 受け， 御足の 跡を 踏み 從うようにと， 模範を 殘されたのである．
  5. キリスト は 罪を 犯さず， その 口には 僞りがなかった．
  1. and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;
  2. and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.
  3. For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.
  1. ののしられても， ののしりかえさず， 苦しめられても， おびやかすことをせず， 正しいさばきをするかたに， いっさいをゆだねておられた．
  2. さらに， わたしたちが 罪に 死に， 義に 生きるために， 十字架にかかって， わたしたちの 罪をご 自分の 身に 負われた． その 傷によって， あなたがたは， いやされたのである．
  3. あなたがたは， 羊のようにさ 迷っていたが， 今は， たましいの 牧者であり 監督であるかたのもとに， たち 歸ったのである．
 
  아내와 남편의 자세(3:1-3:7)    
 
  1. In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives,
  2. as they observe your chaste and respectful behavior.
  3. Your adornment must not be merely external--braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses;
  4. but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.
  5. For in this way in former times the holy women also, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being submissive to their own husbands;
  1. 同じように， 妻たる 者よ． 夫に 仕えなさい． そうすれば， たとい 御言に 從わない 夫であっても，
  2. あなたがたのうやうやしく 淸い 行いを 見て， その 妻の 無言の 行いによって， 救に 入れられるようになるであろう．
  3. あなたがたは， 髮を 編み， 金の 飾りをつけ， 服裝をととのえるような 外面の 飾りではなく，
  4. かくれた 內なる 人， 柔和で， しとやかな 靈という 朽ちることのない 飾りを， 身につけるべきである． これこそ， 神のみまえに， きわめて 尊いものである．
  5. むかし， 神を 仰ぎ 望んでいた 聖なる 女たちも， このように 身を 飾って， その 夫に 仕えたのである．
  1. just as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, and you have become her children if you do what is right without being frightened by any fear.
  2. You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.
  1. たとえば， サラ は アブラハム に 仕えて， 彼を 主と 呼んだ． あなたがたも， 何事にもおびえ 臆することなく 善を 行えば， サラ の 娘たちとなるのである．
  2. 夫たる 者よ． あなたがたも 同じように， 女は 自分よりも 弱い 器であることを 認めて， 知識に 從って 妻と 共に 住み， いのちの 惠みを 共どもに 受け 繼ぐ 者として， 尊びなさい． それは， あなたがたの 祈が 妨げられないためである．
