- Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, "Come."
- I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.
- When He broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, "Come."
- And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.
- When He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, "Come " I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.

- 小羊がその 七つの 封印の 一つを 解いた 時， わたしが 見ていると， 四つの 生き 物の 一つが， 雷のような 聲で「きたれ 」と 呼ぶのを 聞いた．
- そして 見ていると， 見よ， 白い 馬が 出てきた． そして， それに 乘っている 者は， 弓を 手に 持っており， また 冠を 與えられて， 勝利の 上にもなお 勝利を 得ようとして 出かけた．
- 小羊が 第二の 封印を 解いた 時， 第二の 生き 物が「きたれ 」と 言うのを， わたしは 聞いた．
- すると 今度は， 赤い 馬が 出てきた． そして， それに 乘っている 者は， 人¿が 互に 殺し 合うようになるために， 地上から 平和を 奪い 取ることを 許され， また， 大きなつるぎを 與えられた．
- また， 第三の 封印を 解いた 時， 第三の 生き 物が「きたれ 」と 言うのを， わたしは 聞いた． そこで 見ていると， 見よ， 黑い 馬が 出てきた． そして， それに 乘っている 者は， はかりを 手に 持っていた．

- And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not damage the oil and the wine."
- When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, "Come."
- I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.
- When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained;
- and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, will You refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth?"

- すると， わたしは 四つの 生き 物の 間から 出て 來ると 思われる 聲が， こう 言うのを 聞いた， 「小麥一ますは 一 デナリ ． 大麥三ますも 一 デナリ ． オリブ 油とぶどう 酒とを， そこなうな 」．
- 小羊が 第四の 封印を 解いた 時， 第四の 生き 物が「きたれ 」と 言う 聲を， わたしは 聞いた．
- そこで 見ていると， 見よ， 靑白い 馬が 出てきた． そして， それに 乘っている 者の 名は「死 」と 言い， それに 黃泉が 從っていた． 彼らには， 地の 四分の 一を 支配する 權威， および， つるぎと， ききんと， 死と， 地の ¿らとによって 人を 殺す 權威とが， 與えられた．
- 小羊が 第五の 封印を 解いた 時， 神の 言のゆえに， また， そのあかしを 立てたために， 殺された 人¿の 靈魂が， 祭壇の 下にいるのを， わたしは 見た．
- 彼らは 大聲で 叫んで 言った， 「聖なる， まことなる 主よ． いつまであなたは， さばくことをなさらず， また 地に 住む 者に 對して， わたしたちの 血の 報復をなさらないのですか 」．

- And there was given to each of them a white robe; and they were told that they should rest for a little while longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed even as they had been, would be completed also.
- I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood;
- and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind.
- The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
- Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains;

- すると， 彼らのひとりびとりに 白い 衣が 與えられ， それから， 「彼らと 同じく 殺されようとする 僕仲間や 兄弟たちの 數が 滿ちるまで， もうしばらくの 間， 休んでいるように 」と 言い 渡された．
- 小羊が 第六の 封印を 解いた 時， わたしが 見ていると， 大地震が 起って， 太陽は 毛織の 荒布のように 黑くなり， 月は 全面， 血のようになり，
- 天の 星は， いちじくのまだ 靑い 實が 大風に ¿られて 振り 落されるように， 地に 落ちた．
- 天は 卷物が 卷かれるように 消えていき， すべての 山と 島とはその 場所から 移されてしまった．
- 地の 王たち， 高官， 千卒長， 富める 者， 勇者， 奴隷， 自由人らはみな， ほら 穴や 山の 岩かげに， 身をかくした．

- and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb;
- for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?"

- そして， 山と 岩とにむかって 言った， 「さあ， われわれをおおって， 御座にいますかたの 御顔と 小羊の 怒りとから， かくまってくれ．
- 御怒りの 大いなる 日が， すでにきたのだ． だれが， その 前に 立つことができようか 」．
