민수기 11:24-13:33

 모세는 이스라엘의 불평을 하나님께 호소하였고, 모세의 책임을 분담하기 위해 70인의 장로가 선택되었다. 미리암과 아론은 이방 여인과 결혼한 모세를 비방하였다. 이 일로 인해 미리암은 하나님의 징계를 받아 문둥병에 걸렸으나 모세의 기도로 치유되었다. 가데스 바네아에서 하나님께서 가나안 땅에 열두 정탐꾼을 보내게 하셨다. 이에 가나안 땅을 정탐하고 돌아온 정탐꾼들 중 열 명은 백성들에게 부정적인 보고를 하였으나, 여호수아와 갈렙은 믿음에 근거한 긍정적인 보고를 하였다.
  
  미리암과 아론의 시기(11:24-12:16)    
 
  1. So Moses went out and told the people the words of the LORD. Also, he gathered seventy men of the elders of the people, and stationed them around the tent.
  2. Then the LORD came down in the cloud and spoke to him; and He took of the Spirit who was upon him and placed Him upon the seventy elders. And when the Spirit rested upon them, they prophesied. But they did not do it again.
  3. But two men had remained in the camp; the name of one was Eldad and the name of the other Medad. And the Spirit rested upon them (now they were among those who had been registered, but had not gone out to the tent), and they prophesied in the camp.
  4. So a young man ran and told Moses and said, "Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp."
  5. Then Joshua the son of Nun, the attendant of Moses from his youth, said, "Moses, my lord, restrain them."
  1. モ ― セ は 出て 行って， 主の 言葉を 民に 告げた． 彼は 民の 長老の 中から 七十人を 集め， 幕屋の 周りに 立たせた．
  2. 主は 雲のうちにあって 降り， モ ― セ に 語られ， モ ― セ に 授けられている 靈の 一部を 取って， 七十人の 長老にも 授けられた． 靈が 彼らの 上にとどまると， 彼らは 預言狀態になったが， 續くことはなかった．

  1. But Moses said to him, "Are you jealous for my sake? Would that all the LORD'S people were prophets, that the LORD would put His Spirit upon them!"
  2. Then Moses returned to the camp, both he and the elders of Israel.
  3. Now there went forth a wind from the LORD and it brought quail from the sea, and let them fall beside the camp, about a day's journey on this side and a day's journey on the other side, all around the camp and about two cubits deep on the surface of the ground.
  4. The people spent all day and all night and all the next day, and gathered the quail (he who gathered least gathered ten homers) and they spread them out for themselves all around the camp.
  5. While the meat was still between their teeth, before it was chewed, the anger of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD struck the people with a very severe plague.
  1. モ ― セ は 彼に 言った． 「あなたはわたしのためを 思ってねたむ 心を 起こしているのか． わたしは， 主が 靈を 授けて， 主の 民すべてが 預言者になればよいと 切望しているのだ． 」
  2. モ ― セ は イスラエル の 長老と 共に 宿營に 引き 揚げた．
  3. さて， 主のもとから 風が 出て， 海の 方からうずらを 吹き 寄せ， 宿營の 近くに 落とした． うずらは， 宿營の 周圍， 縱橫それぞれ 一日の 道のりの 範圍にわたって， 地上二 アンマ ほどの 高さに 積もった．
  4. 民は 出て 行って， 終日終夜， そして 翌日も， うずらを 集め， 少ない 者でも 十 ホメル は 集めた． そして， 宿營の 周りに 廣げておいた．
  5. 肉がまだ 齒の 間にあって， かみ 切られないうちに， 主は 民に 對して 憤りを 發し， 激しい 疫病で 民を 打たれた．
  1. So the name of that place was called Kibroth-hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had been greedy.
  2. From Kibroth-hattaavah the people set out for Hazeroth, and they remained at Hazeroth.
  1. そのためその 場所は， キブロト · ハタアワ （·欲の 墓 ）と 呼ばれている． ·欲な 人¿をそこに 葬ったからである．
  2. 民は， キブロト · ハタアワ を 旅立ち， ハツェロト に 來た． 彼らが ハツェロト にいたとき，
 
 
  1. Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married (for he had married a Cushite woman);
  2. and they said, "Has the LORD indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us as well?" And the LORD heard it.
  3. (Now the man Moses was very humble, more than any man who was on the face of the earth.)
  4. Suddenly the LORD said to Moses and Aaron and to Miriam, "You three come out to the tent of meeting." So the three of them came out.
  5. Then the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the doorway of the tent, and He called Aaron and Miriam. When they had both come forward,
  1. ミリアム と アロン は， モ ― セ が クシュ の 女性を 妻にしていることで 彼を 非難し， 「モ ― セ は クシュ の 女を 妻にしている 」と 言った．

  1. He said, "Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, shall make Myself known to him in a vision I shall speak with him in a dream.
  2. "Not so, with My servant Moses, He is faithful in all My household;
  3. With him I speak mouth to mouth, Even openly, and not in dark sayings, And he beholds the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid To speak against My servant, against Moses?"
  4. So the anger of the LORD burned against them and He departed.
  5. But when the cloud had withdrawn from over the tent, behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow. As Aaron turned toward Miriam, behold, she was leprous.
  1. 主はこう 言われた． 「聞け， わたしの 言葉を． あなたたちの 間に 預言者がいれば ／主なるわたしは 幻によって 自らを 示し ／夢によって 彼に 語る．
  2. わたしの 僕 モ ― セ はそうではない． 彼はわたしの 家の 者すべてに 信賴されている．
  3. 口から 口へ， わたしは 彼と 語り 合う ／あらわに， 謎によらずに． 主の 姿を 彼は 仰ぎ 見る． あなたたちは 何故， 畏れもせず ／わたしの 僕 モ ― セ を 非難するのか． 」
  4. 主は， 彼らに 對して 憤り， 去って 行かれ，
  5. 雲は 幕屋を 離れた． そのとき， 見よ， ミリアム は 重い 皮膚病にかかり， 雪のように 白くなっていた． アロン は ミリアム の 方を 振り 向いた． 見よ， 彼女は 重い 皮膚病にかかっていた．
  1. Then Aaron said to Moses, "Oh, my lord, I beg you, do not account this sin to us, in which we have acted foolishly and in which we have sinned.
  2. "Oh, do not let her be like one dead, whose flesh is half eaten away when he comes from his mother's womb!"
  3. Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, "O God, heal her, I pray!"
  4. But the LORD said to Moses, "If her father had but spit in her face, would she not bear her shame for seven days? Let her be shut up for seven days outside the camp, and afterward she may be received again."
  5. So Miriam was shut up outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on until Miriam was received again.
  1. アロン は モ ― セ に 言った． 「わが 主よ． どうか， わたしたちが 愚かにも 犯した 罪の 罰をわたしたちに 負わせないでください．
  2. どうか， 彼女を， 肉が 半ば 腐って 母の 胎から 出て 來た 死者のようにしないでください． 」
  3. モ ― セ は 主に 助けを 求めて 叫んだ． 「神よ， どうか 彼女をいやしてください． 」
  4. しかし 主は， モ ― セ に 言われた． 「父親が 彼女の 顔に 唾したとしても， 彼女は 七日の 間恥じて 身を 愼むではないか． ミリアム を 七日の 間宿營の 外に 隔離しなさい． その 後， 彼女は 宿營に 戾ることができる． 」
  5. ミリアム は 宿營の 外に 七日の 間隔離された． 民は， 彼女が 戾るまで 出發しなかった．
  1. Afterward, however, the people moved out from Hazeroth and camped in the wilderness of Paran.
  1. その 後， 民は ハツェロト を 出發し， パラン の 荒れ 野に 宿營した．
 
  가나안 정탐(13:1-13:33)    
 
  1. Then the LORD spoke to Moses saying,
  2. "Send out for yourself men so that they may spy out the land of Canaan, which I am going to give to the sons of Israel; you shall send a man from each of their fathers' tribes, every one a leader among them."
  3. So Moses sent them from the wilderness of Paran at the command of the LORD, all of them men who were heads of the sons of Israel.
  4. These then were their names: from the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur;
  5. from the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori;
  1. 主は モ ― セ に 言われた．
  2. 「人を 遣わして， わたしが イスラエル の 人¿に 與えようとしている カナン の 土地を 偵察させなさい． 父祖以來の 部族ごとに 一人ずつ， それぞれ， 指導者を 遣わさねばならない． 」
  3. モ ― セ は 主の 命令に 從い， パラン の 荒れ 野から 彼らを 遣わした． 彼らは 皆， イスラエル の 人¿の 長である 人¿であった．
  4. その 名は 次のとおりである． ルベン 族では， ザクル の 子 シャムア ，
  5. シメオン 族では， ホリ の 子 シャファト ，
  1. from the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh;
  2. from the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph;
  3. from the tribe of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Nun;
  4. from the tribe of Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu;
  5. from the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi;
  1. ユダ 族では， エフネ の 子 カレブ ，
  2. イサカル 族では， ヨセフ の 子 イグアル ，
  3. エフライム 族では， ヌン の 子 ホシェア ，
  4. ベニヤミン 族では， ラフ の 子 パルティ ，
  5. ゼブルン 族では， ソディ の 子 ガディエル ，
  1. from the tribe of Joseph, from the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi;
  2. from the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli;
  3. from the tribe of Asher, Sethur the son of Michael;
  4. from the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of Vophsi;
  5. from the tribe of Gad, Geuel the son of Machi.
  1. ヨセフ 族すなわち マナセ 族では， スシ の 子 ガディ ，
  2. ダン 族では， ゲマリ の 子 アミエル ，
  3. アシェル 族では， ミカエル の 子 セトル ，
  4. ナフタリ 族では， ボフシ の 子 ナフビ ，
  5. ガド 族では， マキ の 子 ゲウエル ．
  1. These are the names of the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land; but Moses called Hoshea the son of Nun, Joshua.
  2. When Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, he said to them, "Go up there into the Negev; then go up into the hill country.
  3. "See what the land is like, and whether the people who live in it are strong or weak, whether they are few or many.
  4. "How is the land in which they live, is it good or bad? And how are the cities in which they live, are they like open camps or with fortifications?
  5. "How is the land, is it fat or lean? Are there trees in it or not? Make an effort then to get some of the fruit of the land." Now the time was the time of the first ripe grapes.
  1. 以上は， モ ― セ がその 土地の 偵察に 遣わした 人¿の 名である． モ ― セ は， ヌン の 子 ホシェア を ヨシュア と 呼んだ．
  2. モ ― セ は， 彼らを カナン の 土地の 偵察に 遣わすにあたってこう 命じた． 「ネゲブ に 上り， 更に 山を 登って 行き，
  3. その 土地がどんな 所か 調べて 來なさい． そこの 住民が 强いか 弱いか， 人數が 多いか 少ないか，
  4. 彼らの 住む 土地が 良いか 惡いか， 彼らの 住む 町がどんな 樣子か， 天幕を 張っているのか 城壁があるのか，
  5. 土地はどうか， 肥えているかやせているか， 木が 茂っているか 否かを． あなたたちは 雄¿しく 行き， その 土地の 果物を 取って 來なさい． 」それはちょうど， ぶどうの 熟す 時期であった．
  1. So they went up and spied out the land from the wilderness of Zin as far as Rehob, at Lebo-hamath.
  2. When they had gone up into the Negev, they came to Hebron where Ahiman, Sheshai and Talmai, the descendants of Anak were (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)
  3. Then they came to the valley of Eshcol and from there cut down a branch with a single cluster of grapes; and they carried it on a pole between two men, with some of the pomegranates and the figs.
  4. That place was called the valley of Eshcol, because of the cluster which the sons of Israel cut down from there.
  5. When they returned from spying out the land, at the end of forty days,
  1. 彼らは 上って 行って， ツィン の 荒れ 野から レボ · ハマト に 近い レホブ までの 土地を 偵察した．

  4. この 場所が エシュコル の 谷と 呼ばれるのは， イスラエル の 人¿がここで 一房（エシュコル ）のぶどうを 切り 取ったからである．
  5. 四十日の 後， 彼らは 土地の 偵察から 歸って 來た．
  1. they proceeded to come to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation of the sons of Israel in the wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh; and they brought back word to them and to all the congregation and showed them the fruit of the land.
  2. Thus they told him, and said, "We went in to the land where you sent us; and it certainly does flow with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.
  3. "Nevertheless, the people who live in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large; and moreover, we saw the descendants of Anak there.
  4. "Amalek is living in the land of the Negev and the Hittites and the Jebusites and the Amorites are living in the hill country, and the Canaanites are living by the sea and by the side of the Jordan."
  5. Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, "We should by all means go up and take possession of it, for we will surely overcome it."
  1. パラン の 荒れ 野の カデシュ にいる モ ― セ ， アロン および イスラエル の 人¿の 共同體全體のもとに 來ると， 彼らと 共同體全體に 報告をし， その 土地の 果物を 見せた．
  2. 彼らは モ ― セ に 說明して 言った． 「わたしたちは， あなたが 遣わされた 地方に 行って 來ました． そこは 乳と 蜜の 流れる 所でした． これがそこの 果物です．
  3. しかし， その 土地の 住民は 强く， 町という 町は 城壁に 圍まれ， 大層大きく， しかも アナク 人の 子孫さえ 見かけました．
  4. ネゲブ 地方には アマレク 人， 山地には ヘト 人， エブス 人， アモリ 人， 海岸地方および ヨルダン 沿岸地方には カナン 人が 住んでいます． 」
  5. カレブ は 民を 靜め， モ ― セ に 向かって 進言した． 「斷然上って 行くべきです． そこを 占領しましょう． 必ず 勝てます． 」
  1. But the men who had gone up with him said, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are too strong for us."
  2. So they gave out to the sons of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, "The land through which we have gone, in spying it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants; and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great size.
  3. "There also we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak are part of the Nephilim); and we became like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight."
  1. しかし， 彼と 一緖に 行った 者たちは 反對し， 「いや， あの 民に 向かって 上って 行くのは 不可能だ． 彼らは 我¿よりも 强い 」と 言い，
  2. イスラエル の 人¿の 間に， 偵察して 來た 土地について 惡い 情報を 流した． 「我¿が 偵察して 來た 土地は， そこに 住み 着こうとする 者を 食い 盡くすような 土地だ． 我¿が 見た 民は 皆， 巨人だった．
  3. そこで 我¿が 見たのは， ネフィリム なのだ． アナク 人は ネフィリム の 出なのだ． 我¿は， 自分がいなごのように 小さく 見えたし， 彼らの 目にもそう 見えたにちがいない． 」
