민수기 31:1-31:54

 하나님께서 미디안 정복을 명령하시자 이스라엘 자손들은 군대를 파견하여 그들을 정복하였다. 전쟁에서 돌아온 군인들은 모세를 통해 하나님께서 말씀하시는 대로 정결 예식을 거행하였고, 전쟁에서 탈취한 약탈품들을 지시에 따라 분배하였다.
  
  미디안 정복(31:1-31:54)    
 
  1. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
  2. "Take full vengeance for the sons of Israel on the Midianites; afterward you will be gathered to your people."
  3. Moses spoke to the people, saying, "Arm men from among you for the war, that they may go against Midian to execute the LORD'S vengeance on Midian.
  4. "A thousand from each tribe of all the tribes of Israel you shall send to the war."
  5. So there were furnished from the thousands of Israel, a thousand from each tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
  1. 主は モ ― セ に 仰せになった．
  2. 「イスラエル の 人¿が ミディアン 人から 受けた 仕打ちに 報復しなさい． その 後， あなたは 先祖の 列に 加えられるであろう． 」
  3. モ ― セ は 民に 告げた． 「あなたたちの 中から， 戰いのために 人を 出して 武裝させなさい． ミディアン 人を 襲い， ミディアン 人に 對して 主のために 報復するのだ．
  4. イスラエル の 全部族から， 部族ごとに 千人ずつを 戰いに 送り 出しなさい． 」
  5. それで， イスラエル の 諸部隊から 部族ごとに 千人ずつ， 總計一万二千人の 兵が 選び 出されて 武裝した．
  1. Moses sent them, a thousand from each tribe, to the war, and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war with them, and the holy vessels and the trumpets for the alarm in his hand.
  2. So they made war against Midian, just as the LORD had commanded Moses, and they killed every male.
  3. They killed the kings of Midian along with the rest of their slain: Evi and Rekem and Zur and Hur and Reba, the five kings of Midian; they also killed Balaam the son of Beor with the sword.
  4. The sons of Israel captured the women of Midian and their little ones; and all their cattle and all their flocks and all their goods they plundered.
  5. Then they burned all their cities where they lived and all their camps with fire.
  1. モ ― セ は， 部族ごとに 千人ずつの 兵を 戰いに 送り 出し， 祭司 エルアザル の 子 ピネハス を， 聖なる 祭具と 出陣に 吹く ラッパ をその 手に 持たせて， 彼らと 共に 送り 出した．
  2. 彼らは， 主が モ ― セ に 命じられたとおり， ミディアン 人と 戰い， 男子を 皆殺しにした．
  3. その 死者のほかに， ミディアン の 王たち， エビ ， レケム ， ツル ， フル ， レバ という 五人の ミディアン の 王を 殺し， また ベオル の 子 バラム をも 劍にかけて 殺した．
  4. イスラエル の 人¿は ミディアン の 女と 子供を 捕虜にし， 家畜や 財産， 富のすべてを 奪い 取り，
  5. 彼らの 町¿， 村落や 宿營地に 火をつけて， ことごとく 燒き 拂った．
  1. They took all the spoil and all the prey, both of man and of beast.
  2. They brought the captives and the prey and the spoil to Moses, and to Eleazar the priest and to the congregation of the sons of Israel, to the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by the Jordan opposite Jericho.
  3. Moses and Eleazar the priest and all the leaders of the congregation went out to meet them outside the camp.
  4. Moses was angry with the officers of the army, the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds, who had come from service in the war.
  5. And Moses said to them, "Have you spared all the women?
  1. 彼らが 人や 家畜など， 戰利品と 分捕ったものをすべて 集め，
  2. それらの 捕虜， 分捕ったもの， 戰利品を 從えて， ヨルダン 川を 挾んで エリコ の 對岸にある モアブ の 平野に 陣を 張っていた モ ― セ と 祭司 エルアザル ， および イスラエル の 人¿の 共同體のもとに 戾って 來たので，
  3. モ ― セ と 祭司 エルアザル および 共同體の 指導者全員は， 宿營の 外に 出て 來て 彼らを 迎えた．
  4. モ ― セ は， 戰いを 終えて 歸還した 軍の 指揮官たち， 千人隊長， 百人隊長に 向かって 怒り，
  5. 彼らにこう 言った． 「女たちを 皆， 生かしておいたのか．
  1. "Behold, these caused the sons of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, so the plague was among the congregation of the LORD.
  2. "Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man intimately.
  3. "But all the girls who have not known man intimately, spare for yourselves.
  4. "And you, camp outside the camp seven days; whoever has killed any person and whoever has touched any slain, purify yourselves, you and your captives, on the third day and on the seventh day.
  5. "You shall purify for yourselves every garment and every article of leather and all the work of goats' hair, and all articles of wood."
  1. ペオル の 事件は， この 女たちが バラム に 唆され， イスラエル の 人¿を 主に 背かせて 引き 起こしたもので， そのために， 主の 共同體に 災いがくだったではないか．
  2. 直ちに， 子供たちのうち， 男の 子は 皆， 殺せ． 男と 寢て 男を 知っている 女も 皆， 殺せ．
  3. 女のうち， まだ 男と 寢ず， 男を 知らない 娘は， あなたたちのために 生かしておくがよい．
  4. あなたたちは 七日間， 宿營の 外にとどまりなさい． あなたたちでも 捕虜でも， 人を 殺した 者， 殺された 者に 觸れた 者は 皆， 三日目と 七日目に， 身を 淸めなさい．
  5. 衣服も 革製品も， 山羊の 毛で 作ったものも， 木で 作ったものもすべて， 淸めねばならない． 」
  1. Then Eleazar the priest said to the men of war who had gone to battle, "This is the statute of the law which the LORD has commanded Moses:
  2. only the gold and the silver, the bronze, the iron, the tin and the lead,
  3. everything that can stand the fire, you shall pass through the fire, and it shall be clean, but it shall be purified with water for impurity. But whatever cannot stand the fire you shall pass through the water.
  4. "And you shall wash your clothes on the seventh day and be clean, and afterward you may enter the camp."
  5. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
  1. 祭司 エルアザル は， 戰いから 歸還した 兵士に 言った． 「主が モ ― セ に 與えられた 律法の 定めは 次のとおりである．
  2. 金， 銀， 靑銅， 鐵， 錫， 鉛など，
  3. すべて 火に 耐えるものは， 火の 中を 通すと 淸くなる． それ 以外のものは， 淸めの 水で 汚れを 淸める． 火に 耐えないものは， すべて 水を 通さねばならない．
  4. 七日目に 衣服を 洗うとあなたたちは 淸くなる． その 後で， 宿營に 入りなさい． 」
  5. 主は モ ― セ に 言われた．
  1. "You and Eleazar the priest and the heads of the fathers' households of the congregation take a count of the booty that was captured, both of man and of animal;
  2. and divide the booty between the warriors who went out to battle and all the congregation.
  3. "Levy a tax for the LORD from the men of war who went out to battle, one in five hundred of the persons and of the cattle and of the donkeys and of the sheep;
  4. take it from their half and give it to Eleazar the priest, as an offering to the LORD.
  5. "From the sons of Israel's half, you shall take one drawn out of every fifty of the persons, of the cattle, of the donkeys and of the sheep, from all the animals, and give them to the Levites who keep charge of the tabernacle of the LORD."
  1. 「あなたは， 祭司 エルアザル と 共同體の 家長たちと 共に， 捕虜として 分捕った 人間と 家畜の 數を 調べ，
  2. 分捕ったものを 戰いに 出た 勇士と 共同體全體とに 折半しなさい．
  3. 戰いに 行った 兵士から 主にささげさせる 分は， 人， 牛， ろば， 羊それぞれ 五百について 一の 割りである．
  4. あなたは， 折半して 與えたものからそれらを 取って， 主にささげる 獻納物として 祭司 エルアザル に 與え，
  5. イスラエル の 他の 人¿に 折半したものからは 人， および 牛やろばや 羊などの 家畜それぞれ 五十について 一の 割りで 取って， 主の 幕屋を 警護する レビ 人に 與えなさい． 」
  1. Moses and Eleazar the priest did just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
  2. Now the booty that remained from the spoil which the men of war had plundered was 675,000 sheep,
  3. and 72,000 cattle,
  4. and 61,000 donkeys,
  5. and of human beings, of the women who had not known man intimately, all the persons were 32,000.
  1. モ ― セ と 祭司 エルアザル は， 主が モ ― セ に 命じられたとおりにした．
  2. 分捕ったもの， すなわち 兵士が 略奪したものの 殘りは， 羊六十七万五千匹，
  3. 牛七万二千頭，
  4. ろば 六万一千頭，
  5. 人は， 男と 寢ず， 男を 知らない 女が 全部で 三万二千人であった．
  1. The half, the portion of those who went out to war, was as follows: the number of sheep was 337,500,
  2. and the LORD'S levy of the sheep was 675;
  3. and the cattle were 36,000, from which the LORD'S levy was 72;
  4. and the donkeys were 30,500, from which the LORD'S levy was 61;
  5. and the human beings were 16,000, from whom the LORD'S levy was 32 persons.
  1. 戰いに 出た 者の 分け 前は， その 半數であって， 羊の 數は 三十三万七千五百匹，
  2. その 羊のうち， 主にささげる 分は 六百七十五匹，
  3. 牛は 三万六千頭， そのうち 主にささげる 分は 七十二頭，
  4. ろばは 三万五百頭， そのうち 主にささげる 分は 六十一頭，
  5. 人は 一万六千人， そのうち 主にささげる 分は 三十二人であった．
  1. Moses gave the levy which was the LORD'S offering to Eleazar the priest, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
  2. As for the sons of Israel's half, which Moses separated from the men who had gone to war--
  3. now the congregation's half was 337,500 sheep,
  4. and 36,000 cattle,
  5. and 30,500 donkeys,
  1. モ ― セ は， 主に 命じられたとおり， これらの 分を 主にささげる 獻納物として 祭司 エルアザル に 渡した．
  2. モ ― セ が 兵士たちに 折半した 殘り， すなわち イスラエル の 人¿に 折半したもの，
  3. つまり 共同體に 折半したものは， 羊三十三万七千五百匹，
  4. 牛三万六千頭，
  5. ろば 三万五百頭，
  1. and the human beings were 16,000--
  2. and from the sons of Israel's half, Moses took one drawn out of every fifty, both of man and of animals, and gave them to the Levites, who kept charge of the tabernacle of the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
  3. Then the officers who were over the thousands of the army, the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds, approached Moses,
  4. and they said to Moses, "Your servants have taken a census of men of war who are in our charge, and no man of us is missing.
  5. "So we have brought as an offering to the LORD what each man found, articles of gold, armlets and bracelets, signet rings, earrings and necklaces, to make atonement for ourselves before the LORD."
  1. 人一万六千人であった．
  2. モ ― セ は， 主に 命じられたとおり， 折半して イスラエル の 人¿のものとなったものから， 人および 家畜をそれぞれ 五十について 一の 割りで 取り， 主の 幕屋を 警護する レビ 人に 與えた．
  3. 部隊の 指揮官である 千人隊長， 百人隊長が モ ― セ の 前に 進み 出て，
  4. 言った． 「僕どもは， 部下の 兵士の 人員点呼をいたしました． 一名も 欠けていません．
  5. わたしたちは， めいめいで 手に 入れた 腕飾り， 腕輪， 指輪， 耳輪， 首飾りなど 金の 飾り 物を 獻げ 物として 主にささげ， 主の 御前に， わたしたち 自身の ·いの 儀式をしたいのです． 」
  1. Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold from them, all kinds of wrought articles.
  2. All the gold of the offering which they offered up to the LORD, from the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds, was 16,750 shekels.
  3. The men of war had taken booty, every man for himself.
  4. So Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold from the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it to the tent of meeting as a memorial for the sons of Israel before the LORD.
  1. モ ― セ と 祭司 エルアザル は， 彼らから 金の 飾り 物をすべて 受け 取った． それらは 良く 細工されたものであった．
  2. 千人隊長と 百人隊長が 主にささげた 獻納物の 金は， 合計一万六千七百五十 シェケル であった．
  3. しかし， 兵士たちは， それぞれ 略奪したものも 自分のものとした．
  4. モ ― セ と 祭司 エルアザル は， 千人隊長と 百人隊長から 金を 受け 取り， 臨在の 幕屋に 携えて 行って， 主の 御前に， イスラエル の 人¿のための 記念とした．
