사사기 15:1-16:31

 아내를 빼앗긴 삼손은 매우 분노하여 블레셋 사람의 농작물을 불태우고 나귀의 턱뼈로 일천 명을 죽였다. 그 후 삼손은 들릴라를 사랑하게 되었지만 그녀의 꾐에 빠져 자신의 힘의 비밀을 발설하였고, 결국 블레셋인들에게 잡혀 곤욕을 당했다. 블레셋 신전에서 조롱당하던 삼손은 하나님께 간구하여 신전 기둥을 무너뜨림으로써 많은 블레셋 사람들을 죽이고 자신도 최후를 맞았다.
  
  삼손의 보복(15:1-15:20)    
 
  1. But after a while, in the time of wheat harvest, Samson visited his wife with a young goat, and said, "I will go in to my wife in her room." But her father did not let him enter.
  2. Her father said, "I really thought that you hated her intensely; so I gave her to your companion. Is not her younger sister more beautiful than she? Please let her be yours instead."
  3. Samson then said to them, "This time I shall be blameless in regard to the Philistines when I do them harm."
  4. Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and took torches, and turned the foxes tail to tail and put one torch in the middle between two tails.
  5. When he had set fire to the torches, he released the foxes into the standing grain of the Philistines, thus burning up both the shocks and the standing grain, along with the vineyards and groves.
  1. しばらくして 小麥の 收穫のころ， サムソン は 一匹の 子山羊を 携えて 妻を 訪ね， 「妻の 部屋に 入りたい 」と 言ったが， 彼女の 父は 入らせなかった．
  2. 父は 言った． 「わたしはあなたがあの 娘を 嫌ったものと 思い， あなたの 友に 嫁がせた． 妹の 方がきれいではないか． その 妹を 代わりにあなたの 妻にしてほしい． 」
  3. サムソン は 言った． 「今度はわたしが ペリシテ 人に 害を 加えても， わたしには 罪がない． 」
  4. サムソン は 出て 行って， ジャッカル を 三百匹捕らえ， 松明を 持って 來て， ジャッカル の 尾と 尾を 結び 合わせ， その 二つの 尾の 眞ん 中に 松明を 一本ずつ 取り 付けた．
  5. その 松明に 火をつけると， 彼はそれを ペリシテ 人の 麥畑に 送り ¿み， 刈り 入れた 麥の 山から 麥畑， ぶどう 畑， オリ ― ブ の 木に 至るまで 燃やした．
  1. Then the Philistines said, "Who did this?" And they said, "Samson, the son-in-law of the Timnite, because he took his wife and gave her to his companion." So the Philistines came up and burned her and her father with fire.
  2. Samson said to them, "Since you act like this, I will surely take revenge on you, but after that I will quit."
  3. He struck them ruthlessly with a great slaughter; and he went down and lived in the cleft of the rock of Etam.
  4. Then the Philistines went up and camped in Judah, and spread out in Lehi.
  5. The men of Judah said, "Why have you come up against us?" And they said, "We have come up to bind Samson in order to do to him as he did to us."
  1. ペリシテ 人は， 「誰がこんな 事をしたのか 」と 言い 合った． 「あの ティムナ 人の ¿の サムソン がした． 彼が ¿の 妻を 取り 上げ， その 友に 與えたからだ 」と 答える 者があった． ペリシテ 人はそこで， 彼女とその 父のところに 上って 來て， 火を 放って 燒き 殺した．
  2. サムソン は 彼らに， 「これがお 前たちのやり 方なら， わたしはお 前たちに 報復せずにはいられない 」と 言って，
  3. 彼らを 徹底的に 打ちのめし， 下って 行って， エタム の 岩の 裂け 目に 住んだ．

  5. ユダ の 人¿は， 「なぜ 我¿に 向かって 上って 來るのか 」とただしたところ， 彼らは， 「攻め 上って 來たのは サムソン を 縛り 上げ， 我¿に 對する 仕打ちのお 返しをするためだ 」と 答えた．
  1. Then 3,000 men of Judah went down to the cleft of the rock of Etam and said to Samson, "Do you not know that the Philistines are rulers over us? What then is this that you have done to us?" And he said to them, "As they did to me, so I have done to them."
  2. They said to him, "We have come down to bind you so that we may give you into the hands of the Philistines." And Samson said to them, "Swear to me that you will not kill me."
  3. So they said to him, "No, but we will bind you fast and give you into their hands; yet surely we will not kill you." Then they bound him with two new ropes and brought him up from the rock.
  4. When he came to Lehi, the Philistines shouted as they met him. And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him mightily so that the ropes that were on his arms were as flax that is burned with fire, and his bonds dropped from his hands.
  5. He found a fresh jawbone of a donkey, so he reached out and took it and killed a thousand men with it.
  1. ユダ の 人¿三千人が， エタム の 岩の 裂け 目に 下って 行き， サムソン に 言った． 「我¿が ペリシテ 人の 支配下にあることを 知らないのか． なんということをしてくれた． 」 サムソン は 答えた． 「彼らがわたしにしたように， 彼らにしただけだ． 」
  2. 彼らは サムソン に 言った． 「我¿は， お 前を 縛って ペリシテ 人の 手に 渡すためにやって 來た． 」 サムソン は 言った． 「あなたたちはわたしに 害を 加えないと 誓ってくれるか． 」
  3. 彼らは 言った． 「我¿はただお 前を 縛って 彼らの 手に 渡すだけだ． 殺しはしない． 」彼らはこうして， 新しい ¿二本で サムソン を 縛り， 岩から 連れ 出し， 上って 來た．
  4. サムソン が レヒ に 着くと， ペリシテ 人は 歡聲をあげて 彼を 迎えた． そのとき， 主の 靈が 激しく 彼に 降り， 腕を 縛っていた ¿は， 火がついて 燃える 亞麻の 絲のようになり， ¿目は 解けて 彼の 手から 落ちた．
  5. 彼は， 眞新しいろばのあご 骨を 見つけ， 手を 伸ばして 取り， これで 千人を 打ち 殺した．
  1. Then Samson said, "With the jawbone of a donkey, Heaps upon heaps, With the jawbone of a donkey I have killed a thousand men."
  2. When he had finished speaking, he threw the jawbone from his hand; and he named that place Ramath-lehi.
  3. Then he became very thirsty, and he called to the LORD and said, "You have given this great deliverance by the hand of Your servant, and now shall I die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?"
  4. But God split the hollow place that is in Lehi so that water came out of it. When he drank, his strength returned and he revived. Therefore he named it En-hakkore, which is in Lehi to this day.
  5. So he judged Israel twenty years in the days of the Philistines.
  1. そこで 彼は 言った． 「ろばのあご 骨で， ひと 山， ふた 山 ／ろばのあご 骨で， 千人を 打ち 殺した． 」
  2. こう 言い 終わると， 彼は 手に 持っていたあご 骨を 投げ 捨てた． こうして， その 場所は ラマト · レヒ （あご 骨の 高台 ）と 呼ばれるようになった．

  5. 彼は ペリシテ 人の 時代に， 二十年間， 士師として イスラエル を 裁いた．
 
  삼손의 죽음(16:1-16:31)    
 
  1. Now Samson went to Gaza and saw a harlot there, and went in to her.
  2. When it was told to the Gazites, saying, "Samson has come here," they surrounded the place and lay in wait for him all night at the gate of the city. And they kept silent all night, saying, "Let us wait until the morning light, then we will kill him."
  3. Now Samson lay until midnight, and at midnight he arose and took hold of the doors of the city gate and the two posts and pulled them up along with the bars; then he put them on his shoulders and carried them up to the top of the mountain which is opposite Hebron.
  4. After this it came about that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.
  5. The lords of the Philistines came up to her and said to her, "Entice him, and see where his great strength lies and how we may overpower him that we may bind him to afflict him. Then we will each give you eleven hundred pieces of silver."
  1. サムソン は ガザ に 行き， 一人の 遊女がいるのを 見て， 彼女のもとに 入った．
  2. ガザ の 人¿は， 「サムソン が 來た 」との 知らせを 受けると， 一晩中彼を 取り 圍み， 町の 門で 待ち 伏せ， 「夜明けまで 待って， 彼を 殺してしまおう 」と 言って， 一晩中聲をひそめていた．

  5. ペリシテ 人の 領主たちは 彼女のところに 上って 來て 言った． 「サムソン をうまく 言いくるめて， その 怪力がどこに 秘められているのか， どうすれば 彼を 打ち 負かし， 縛り 上げて 苦しめることができるのか， 探ってくれ． そうすれば， 我¿は 一人一人お 前に 銀千百枚を 與えよう． 」
  1. So Delilah said to Samson, "Please tell me where your great strength is and how you may be bound to afflict you."
  2. Samson said to her, "If they bind me with seven fresh cords that have not been dried, then I will become weak and be like any other man."
  3. Then the lords of the Philistines brought up to her seven fresh cords that had not been dried, and she bound him with them.
  4. Now she had men lying in wait in an inner room. And she said to him, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" But he snapped the cords as a string of tow snaps when it touches fire. So his strength was not discovered.
  5. Then Delilah said to Samson, "Behold, you have deceived me and told me lies; now please tell me how you may be bound."
  1. デリラ は サムソン に 言った． 「あなたの 怪力がどこに 秘められているのか， 敎えてください． あなたを 縛り 上げて 苦しめるにはどうすればいいのでしょう． 」
  2. サムソン は， 「乾いていない 新しい 弓弦七本で 縛ればいい． そうすればわたしは 弱くなり， ¿の 人間のようになってしまう 」と 答えた．
  3. ペリシテ の 領主たちが， 乾いていない 新しい 弓弦を 七本彼女に 屆けたので， 彼女はそれで サムソン を 縛った．
  4. 奧の 部屋には 待ち 伏せる 者を 置いて， 彼女は， 「サムソン ， ペリシテ 人があなたに 」と 言った． ところが サムソン は， 弓弦をまるで 麻のひもが 火にあぶられて 切れるように 斷ち 切ってしまった． その 力の 秘密はまだ 知られてはいなかった．
  5. デリラ は サムソン に 言った． 「あなたはわたしを 侮り， うそをついたでしょう． あなたを 縛り 上げるにはどうすればいいのか， 今敎えてください． 」
  1. He said to her, "If they bind me tightly with new ropes which have not been used, then I will become weak and be like any other man."
  2. So Delilah took new ropes and bound him with them and said to him, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" For the men were lying in wait in the inner room. But he snapped the ropes from his arms like a thread.
  3. Then Delilah said to Samson, "Up to now you have deceived me and told me lies; tell me how you may be bound." And he said to her, "If you weave the seven locks of my hair with the web [and fasten it with a pin, then I will become weak and be like any other man."
  4. So while he slept, Delilah took the seven locks of his hair and wove them into the web]. And she fastened it with the pin and said to him, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" But he awoke from his sleep and pulled out the pin of the loom and the web.
  5. Then she said to him, "How can you say, 'I love you,' when your heart is not with me? You have deceived me these three times and have not told me where your great strength is."
  1. 彼は 答えた． 「まだ 一度も 使ったことのない 新しい ¿でしっかりと 縛れば， わたしは 弱くなり， ¿の 人間のようになってしまう． 」
  2. デリラ は 新しい ¿を 持って 來て， それで サムソン を 縛り， 「サムソン ， ペリシテ 人があなたに 」と 言った． 奧の 部屋には 待ち 伏せる 者がいたが， サムソン は 腕の ¿をまるで 絲のように 斷ち 切ってしまった．
  3. デリラ は サムソン に 言った． 「あなたは 今度もわたしを 侮り， うそをついたでしょう． あなたを 縛り 上げるにはどうすればいいのか 敎えてください． 」彼が， 「わたしの 髮の 毛七房を 機の 縱絲と 共に 織り ¿めばいいのだ 」と 言ったので，
  4. 彼女はそれを 釘で 留めて， 「サムソン ， ペリシテ 人があなたに 」と 言った． ところが， 彼は 眠りから 覺め， 釘も， 機織り 機と 縱絲も 引き 拔いてしまった．
  5. デリラ は 彼に 言った． 「あなたの 心はわたしにはないのに， どうしてお 前を 愛しているなどと 言えるのですか． もう 三回もあなたはわたしを 侮り， 怪力がどこに 潛んでいるのか 敎えてくださらなかった． 」
  1. It came about when she pressed him daily with her words and urged him, that his soul was annoyed to death.
  2. So he told her all that was in his heart and said to her, "A razor has never come on my head, for I have been a Nazirite to God from my mother's womb. If I am shaved, then my strength will leave me and I will become weak and be like any other man."
  3. When Delilah saw that he had told her all that was in his heart, she sent and called the lords of the Philistines, saying, "Come up once more, for he has told me all that is in his heart." Then the lords of the Philistines came up to her and brought the money in their hands.
  4. She made him sleep on her knees, and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his hair. Then she began to afflict him, and his strength left him.
  5. She said, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" And he awoke from his sleep and said, "I will go out as at other times and shake myself free." But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him.
  1. 來る 日も 來る 日も 彼女がこう 言ってしつこく 迫ったので， サムソン はそれに 耐えきれず 死にそうになり，
  2. ついに 心の 中を 一切打ち 明けた． 「わたしは 母の 胎內にいたときから ナジル 人として 神にささげられているので， 頭にかみそりを 當てたことがない． もし 髮の 毛をそられたら， わたしの 力は 拔けて， わたしは 弱くなり， ¿の 人間のようになってしまう． 」
  3. デリラ は， 彼が 心の 中を 一切打ち 明けたことを 見て 取り， ペリシテ 人の 領主たちに 使いをやり， 「上って 來てください． 今度こそ， 彼は 心の 中を 一切打ち 明けました 」と 言わせた． ペリシテ 人の 領主たちは 銀を 携えて 彼女のところに 來た．
  4. 彼女は 膝を 枕に サムソン を 眠らせ， 人を 呼んで， 彼の 髮の 毛七房をそらせた． 彼女はこうして 彼を 抑え 始め， 彼の 力は 拔けた．
  5. 彼女が， 「サムソン ， ペリシテ 人があなたに 」と 言うと， サムソン は 眠りから 覺め， 「いつものように 出て 行って 暴れて 來る 」と 言ったが， 主が 彼を 離れられたことには 氣づいていなかった．
  1. Then the Philistines seized him and gouged out his eyes; and they brought him down to Gaza and bound him with bronze chains, and he was a grinder in the prison.
  2. However, the hair of his head began to grow again after it was shaved off.
  3. Now the lords of the Philistines assembled to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon their god, and to rejoice, for they said, "Our god has given Samson our enemy into our hands."
  4. When the people saw him, they praised their god, for they said, "Our god has given our enemy into our hands, Even the destroyer of our country, Who has slain many of us."
  5. It so happened when they were in high spirits, that they said, "Call for Samson, that he may amuse us." So they called for Samson from the prison, and he entertained them. And they made him stand between the pillars.
  1. ペリシテ 人は 彼を 捕らえ， 目をえぐり 出して ガザ に 連れて 下り， 靑銅の 足枷をはめ， 牢屋で 粉をひかせた．
  2. しかし， 彼の 髮の 毛はそられた 後， また 伸び 始めていた．
  3. ペリシテ 人の 領主たちは 集まって， 彼らの 神 ダゴン に 盛大ないけにえをささげ， 喜び 祝って 言った． 「我¿の 神は 敵 サムソン を ／我¿の 手に 渡してくださった． 」
  4. その 民もまた サムソン を 見て， 彼らの 神をたたえて 言った． 「わが 國を 荒らし， 數多くの 同胞を 殺した 敵を ／我¿の 神は， 我¿の 手に 渡してくださった． 」
  5. 彼らは 上機嫌になり， 「サムソン を 呼べ． 見せ 物にして 樂しもう 」と 言い 出した． こうして サムソン は 牢屋から 呼び 出され， 笑いものにされた． 柱の 間に 立たされたとき，
  1. Then Samson said to the boy who was holding his hand, "Let me feel the pillars on which the house rests, that I may lean against them."
  2. Now the house was full of men and women, and all the lords of the Philistines were there. And about 3,000 men and women were on the roof looking on while Samson was amusing them.
  3. Then Samson called to the LORD and said, "O Lord GOD, please remember me and please strengthen me just this time, O God, that I may at once be avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes."
  4. Samson grasped the two middle pillars on which the house rested, and braced himself against them, the one with his right hand and the other with his left.
  5. And Samson said, "Let me die with the Philistines!" And he bent with all his might so that the house fell on the lords and all the people who were in it. So the dead whom he killed at his death were more than those whom he killed in his life.
  1. サムソン は 彼の 手をつかんでいた 若者に， 「わたしを 引いて， この 建物を 支えている 柱に 觸らせてくれ． 寄りかかりたい 」と 賴んだ．
  2. 建物の 中は 男女でいっぱいであり， ペリシテ の 領主たちも 皆， これに 加わっていた． 屋上にも 三千人もの 男女がいて， 見せ 物にされた サムソン を 見ていた．
  3. サムソン は 主に 祈って 言った． 「わたしの 神なる 主よ． わたしを 思い 起こしてください． 神よ， 今一度だけわたしに 力を 與え， ペリシテ 人に 對してわたしの 二つの 目の 復讐を 一氣にさせてください． 」
  4. それから サムソン は， 建物を 支えている 眞ん 中の 二本を 探りあて， 一方に 右手を， 他方に 左手をつけて 柱にもたれかかった．
  5. そこで サムソン は， 「わたしの 命は ペリシテ 人と 共に 絶えればよい 」と 言って， 力を ¿めて 押した． 建物は 領主たちだけでなく， そこにいたすべての 民の 上に 崩れ 落ちた． 彼がその 死をもって 殺した 者は， 生きている 間に 殺した 者より 多かった．
  1. Then his brothers and all his father's household came down, took him, brought him up and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of Manoah his father. Thus he had judged Israel twenty years.
  1. 彼の 兄弟たち， 家族の 者たちが 皆， 下って 來て， 彼を 引き 取り， ツォルア と エシュタオル の 間にある 父 マノア の 墓に 運び， そこに 葬った． 彼は 二十年間， 士師として イスラエル を 裁いた．
