- After these things Jesus was walking in Galilee, for He was unwilling to walk in Judea because the Jews were seeking to kill Him.
- Now the feast of the Jews, the Feast of Booths, was near.
- Therefore His brothers said to Him, "Leave here and go into Judea, so that Your disciples also may see Your works which You are doing.
- "For no one does anything in secret when he himself seeks to be known publicly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world."
- For not even His brothers were believing in Him.

- その 後， イエス は ガリラヤ を 巡っておられた． ユダヤ 人が 殺そうとねらっていたので， ユダヤ を 巡ろうとは 思われなかった．
- ときに， ユダヤ 人の 假庵祭が 近づいていた．
- イエス の 兄弟たちが 言った． 「ここを 去って ユダヤ に 行き， あなたのしている 業を 弟子たちにも 見せてやりなさい．
- 公に 知られようとしながら， ひそかに 行動するような 人はいない． こういうことをしているからには， 自分を 世にはっきり 示しなさい． 」
- 兄弟たちも， イエス を 信じていなかったのである．

- So Jesus said to them, "My time is not yet here, but your time is always opportune.
- "The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it, that its deeds are evil.
- "Go up to the feast yourselves; I do not go up to this feast because My time has not yet fully come."
- Having said these things to them, He stayed in Galilee.
- But when His brothers had gone up to the feast, then He Himself also went up, not publicly, but as if, in secret.

- そこで， イエス は 言われた． 「わたしの 時はまだ 來ていない． しかし， あなたがたの 時はいつも 備えられている．
- 世はあなたがたを 憎むことができないが， わたしを 憎んでいる． わたしが， 世の 行っている 業は 惡いと 證ししているからだ．
- あなたがたは 祭りに 上って 行くがよい． わたしはこの 祭りには 上って 行かない． まだ， わたしの 時が 來ていないからである． 」
- こう 言って， イエス は ガリラヤ にとどまられた．
- しかし， 兄弟たちが 祭りに 上って 行ったとき， イエス 御自身も， 人目を 避け， 隱れるようにして 上って 行かれた．

- So the Jews were seeking Him at the feast and were saying, "Where is He?"
- There was much grumbling among the crowds concerning Him; some were saying, "He is a good man"; others were saying, "No, on the contrary, He leads the people astray."
- Yet no one was speaking openly of Him for fear of the Jews.
- But when it was now the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and began to teach.
- The Jews then were astonished, saying, "How has this man become learned, having never been educated?"

- 祭りのとき ユダヤ 人たちは イエス を 搜し， 「あの 男はどこにいるのか 」と 言っていた．
- 群衆の 間では， イエス のことがいろいろとささやかれていた． 「良い 人だ 」と 言う 者もいれば， 「いや， 群衆を 惑わしている 」と 言う 者もいた．
- しかし， ユダヤ 人たちを 恐れて， イエス について 公然と 語る 者はいなかった．
- 祭りも 旣に 半ばになったころ， イエス は 神殿の 境內に 上って 行って， 敎え 始められた．
- ユダヤ 人たちが 驚いて， 「この 人は， 學問をしたわけでもないのに， どうして 聖書をこんなによく 知っているのだろう 」と 言うと，

- So Jesus answered them and said, "My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me.
- "If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself.
- "He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
- "Did not Moses give you the Law, and yet none of you carries out the Law? Why do you seek to kill Me?"
- The crowd answered, "You have a demon! Who seeks to kill You?"

- イエス は 答えて 言われた． 「わたしの 敎えは， 自分の 敎えではなく， わたしをお 遣わしになった 方の 敎えである．
- この 方の 御心を 行おうとする 者は， わたしの 敎えが 神から 出たものか， わたしが 勝手に 話しているのか， 分かるはずである．
- 自分勝手に 話す 者は， 自分の 榮光を 求める． しかし， 自分をお 遣わしになった 方の 榮光を 求める 者は 眞實な 人であり， その 人には 不義がない．
- モ ― セ はあなたたちに 律法を 與えたではないか． ところが， あなたたちはだれもその 律法を 守らない． なぜ， わたしを 殺そうとするのか． 」
- 群衆が 答えた． 「あなたは 惡靈に 取りつかれている． だれがあなたを 殺そうというのか． 」

- Jesus answered them, "I did one deed, and you all marvel.
- "For this reason Moses has given you circumcision (not because it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a man.
- "If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath so that the Law of Moses will not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made an entire man well on the Sabbath?
- "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment."

- イエス は 答えて 言われた． 「わたしが 一つの 業を 行ったというので， あなたたちは 皆驚いている．
- しかし， モ ― セ はあなたたちに 割禮を 命じた． ――もっとも， これは モ ― セ からではなく， 族長たちから 始まったのだが ――だから， あなたたちは 安息日にも 割禮を 施している．
- モ ― セ の 律法を 破らないようにと， 人は 安息日であっても 割禮を 受けるのに， わたしが 安息日に 全身をいやしたからといって 腹を 立てるのか．
- うわべだけで 裁くのをやめ， 正しい 裁きをしなさい． 」
