역대하 8:1-9:31

 솔로몬의 지혜로운 통치로 말미암아 정치, 경제, 종교, 각 방면으로 부강한 나라가 되었다. 그의 명성을 듣고 방문한 스바 여왕은 솔로몬의 지혜와 부귀 영화에 탄복하고 돌아갔다.
  
  솔로몬의 업적들(8:1-8:18)    
 
  1. Now it came about at the end of the twenty years in which Solomon had built the house of the LORD and his own house
  2. that he built the cities which Huram had given to him, and settled the sons of Israel there.
  3. Then Solomon went to Hamath-zobah and captured it.
  4. He built Tadmor in the wilderness and all the storage cities which he had built in Hamath.
  5. He also built upper Beth-horon and lower Beth-horon, fortified cities with walls, gates and bars;
  1. ソロモン は， 二十年を 費やして 主の 神殿と 王宮を 建て 終わると，
  2. フラム から 贈られた 町を 次¿と 再建し， そこに イスラエル 人を 住まわせた．
  3. ソロモン は 更に ハマト · ツォバ に 向かい， これを 攻略し，

  1. and Baalath and all the storage cities that Solomon had, and all the cities for his chariots and cities for his horsemen, and all that it pleased Solomon to build in Jerusalem, in Lebanon, and in all the land under his rule.
  2. All of the people who were left of the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, who were not of Israel,
  3. namely, from their descendants who were left after them in the land whom the sons of Israel had not destroyed, them Solomon raised as forced laborers to this day.
  4. But Solomon did not make slaves for his work from the sons of Israel; they were men of war, his chief captains and commanders of his chariots and his horsemen.
  5. These were the chief officers of King Solomon, two hundred and fifty who ruled over the people.

  1. Then Solomon brought Pharaoh's daughter up from the city of David to the house which he had built for her, for he said, "My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy where the ark of the LORD has entered."
  2. Then Solomon offered burnt offerings to the LORD on the altar of the LORD which he had built before the porch;
  3. and did so according to the daily rule, offering them up according to the commandment of Moses, for the sabbaths, the new moons and the three annual feasts--the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Booths.
  4. Now according to the ordinance of his father David, he appointed the divisions of the priests for their service, and the Levites for their duties of praise and ministering before the priests according to the daily rule, and the gatekeepers by their divisions at every gate; for David the man of God had so commanded.
  5. And they did not depart from the commandment of the king to the priests and Levites in any manner or concerning the storehouses.
  1. ソロモン は ファラオ の 娘を ダビデ の 町から， 彼女のために 建てた 宮殿に 移した． 「わたしの 妻は イスラエル の 王 ダビデ の 宮殿に 住んではならない． そこは 主の 箱を 迎え 入れた 聖なる 所だ 」と 考えたからである．
  2. そのころ ソロモン は， 前廊の 前に 築いた 主の 祭壇の 上で， 燒き 盡くす 獻げ 物を 主にささげた．
  3. 安息日， 新月祭， および， 年に 三度の 祝祭日， 除酵祭， 七週祭， 假庵祭に 關して モ ― セ が 命じたように， 日ごとの 定めに 從って 獻げ 物をささげた．
  4. 更に 彼は， 父 ダビデ の 授けた 規定に 從って， 祭司たちを 組に 分けてその 任務に 就かせ， また レビ 人たちをその 任務に 就かせて， 日ごとの 定めに 從って 祭司の 傍らで 贊美し 奉仕させ， 門衛たちもその 組によってそれぞれその 門に 立たせた． 神の 人 ダビデ がそのように 命じていたからである．
  5. 王が 祭司と レビ 人について 命じたことは， 寶物庫のことも 含め， 何事もおろそかにされなかった．
  1. Thus all the work of Solomon was carried out from the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was completed.
  2. Then Solomon went to Ezion-geber and to Eloth on the seashore in the land of Edom.
  3. And Huram by his servants sent him ships and servants who knew the sea; and they went with Solomon's servants to Ophir, and took from there four hundred and fifty talents of gold and brought them to King Solomon.
  1. ソロモン の 工事はすべて， 主の 神殿の 定礎の 日から， 完成の 日まで 無事に 遂行され， 主の 神殿は 完全なものとなった．

  솔로몬의 영광과 죽음(9:1-9:31)    
 
  1. Now when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to Jerusalem to test Solomon with difficult questions. She had a very large retinue, with camels carrying spices and a large amount of gold and precious stones; and when she came to Solomon, she spoke with him about all that was on her heart.
  2. Solomon answered all her questions; nothing was hidden from Solomon which he did not explain to her.
  3. When the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, the house which he had built,
  4. the food at his table, the seating of his servants, the attendance of his ministers and their attire, his cupbearers and their attire, and his stairway by which he went up to the house of the LORD, she was breathless.
  5. Then she said to the king, "It was a true report which I heard in my own land about your words and your wisdom.
  1. シェバ の 女王は ソロモン の 名聲を 聞き， 難問をもって ソロモン を 試そうと， 極めて 大勢の 隨員を 伴い， 香料， 多くの 金， 寶石をらくだに 積んで エルサレム に 來た． ソロモン のところに 來ると， 彼女はあらかじめ 考えておいたすべての 質問を 浴びせたが，
  2. ソロモン はそのすべてに 解答を 與えた． ソロモン に 分からない 事， 答えられない 事は 何一つなかった．
  3. シェバ の 女王は， ソロモン の 知惠と 彼の 建てた 宮殿を 目の 當たりにし，
  4. また 食卓の 料理， 居¿ぶ 彼の 家臣， 丁重にもてなす 給仕たちとその 裝い， 獻酌官とその 裝い， それに 王が 主の 神殿でささげる 燒き 盡くす 獻げ 物を 見て， 息も 止まるような 思いであった．
  5. 女王は 王に 言った． 「わたしが 國で， あなたの 御事績とあなたのお 知惠について 聞いていたことは， 本當のことでした．
  1. "Nevertheless I did not believe their reports until I came and my eyes had seen it. And behold, the half of the greatness of your wisdom was not told me. You surpass the report that I heard.
  2. "How blessed are your men, how blessed are these your servants who stand before you continually and hear your wisdom.
  3. "Blessed be the LORD your God who delighted in you, setting you on His throne as king for the LORD your God; because your God loved Israel establishing them forever, therefore He made you king over them, to do justice and righteousness."
  4. Then she gave the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold and a very great amount of spices and precious stones; there had never been spice like that which the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.
  5. The servants of Huram and the servants of Solomon who brought gold from Ophir, also brought algum trees and precious stones.
  1. わたしは， ここに 來て， 自分の 目で 見るまでは， 人の 言うことを 信じてはいませんでした． しかし， わたしに 知らされていたことは 大いなるお 知惠の 半分にも 及ばず， あなたはうわさに 聞いていたことをはるかに 超えておられます．
  2. あなたの 臣民はなんと 幸せなことでしょう． いつもあなたの 前に 立ってお 知惠に 接している 家臣たちはなんと 幸せなことでしょう．
  3. あなたを 王位につけられたあなたの 神， 主のための 王とすることをお 望みになったあなたの 神， 主はたたえられますように． あなたの 神は イスラエル を 愛して， とこしえに 續くものとし， あなたをその 上に 王として 立て， 公正と 正義を 行わせられるからです． 」
  4. 彼女は 金百二十 キカル ， 非常に 多くの 香料， 寶石を 王に 贈ったが， この シェバ の 女王が ソロモン 王に 贈ったような 香料はかつてなかった．

  1. From the algum trees the king made steps for the house of the LORD and for the king's palace, and lyres and harps for the singers; and none like that was seen before in the land of Judah.
  2. King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire which she requested besides a return for what she had brought to the king. Then she turned and went to her own land with her servants.
  3. Now the weight of gold which came to Solomon in one year was 666 talents of gold,
  4. besides that which the traders and merchants brought; and all the kings of Arabia and the governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.
  5. King Solomon made 200 large shields of beaten gold, using 600 shekels of beaten gold on each large shield.
  1. 王はその 白檀で 神殿と 王宮の 床板や， 詠唱者のための 竪琴や 琴を 作った． かつて ユダ の 地でだれもこのようなものを 見たことはなかった．
  2. ソロモン 王は， シェバ の 女王が 王に 贈った 物に 報いる 品¿以上に， 女王の 願うものは 何でも 望みのままに 與えた． こうして 女王とその 一行は 故國に 向かって 歸って 行った．
  3. ソロモン の 歲入は 金六百六十六 キカル ，
  4. そのほかに 隊商や 商人の 納める 稅金があり， アラビア のすべての 王や 地方總督も ソロモン 王に 金銀を 納めた．
  5. ソロモン 王は 延金の 大盾二百を 作った． 大盾一つにつき 用いた 延金は 六百 シェケル であった．
  1. He made 300 shields of beaten gold, using three hundred shekels of gold on each shield, and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
  2. Moreover, the king made a great throne of ivory and overlaid it with pure gold.
  3. There were six steps to the throne and a footstool in gold attached to the throne, and arms on each side of the seat, and two lions standing beside the arms.
  4. Twelve lions were standing there on the six steps on the one side and on the other; nothing like it was made for any other kingdom.
  5. All King Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; silver was not considered valuable in the days of Solomon.
  1. 延金の 小盾も 三百作った． 小盾一つにつき 用いた 金は 三百 シェケル であった． 王はこれらの 盾を「レバノン の 森の 家 」に 置いた．
  2. 王は 更に 象牙の 大きな 王座を 作り， それを 純金で 覆った．
  3. 王座には 六つの 段があり， その 王座に 金の 踏み 台がつけられていた． また， 座席の 兩側には ¿掛けがあり， その 脇に 二頭の 獅子が 立っていた．
  4. 六つの 段の 左右にも 十二頭の 獅子が 立っていた． これほどのものが 作られた 國はどこにもなかった．
  5. ソロモン 王の 杯はすべて 金， 「レバノン の 森の 家 」の 器もすべて 純金で 出來ていた． ソロモン の 時代には， 銀は 値打ちのないものと 見なされていた．
  1. For the king had ships which went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram; once every three years the ships of Tarshish came bringing gold and silver, ivory and apes and peacocks.
  2. So King Solomon became greater than all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
  3. And all the kings of the earth were seeking the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom which God had put in his heart.
  4. They brought every man his gift, articles of silver and gold, garments, weapons, spices, horses and mules, so much year by year.
  5. Now Solomon had 4,000 stalls for horses and chariots and 12,000 horsemen, and he stationed them in the chariot cities and with the king in Jerusalem.
  1. 王の 船團は フラム の 家臣たちと 共に タルシシュ へ 航海した． 三年に 一度， タルシシュ の 船團は， 金， 銀， 象牙， 猿， ひひを 積んで 入港した．
  2. ソロモン 王は 世界中の 王の 中で 最も 大いなる 富と 知惠を 有し，
  3. 世界のすべての 王が， 神が ソロモン の 心にお 授けになった 知惠を 聞くために， 彼に 拜謁を 求めた．
  4. 彼らは， それぞれ 贈り 物として 銀の 器， 金の 器， 衣類， 武器， 香料， 馬とらばを 每年携えて 來た．
  5. ソロモン は 馬と 戰車のための ¿舍四千， 騎兵一万二千を 有した． 彼はそれを 戰車隊の 町¿および エルサレム の 王のもとに 配置した．
  1. He was the ruler over all the kings from the Euphrates River even to the land of the Philistines, and as far as the border of Egypt.
  2. The king made silver as common as stones in Jerusalem, and he made cedars as plentiful as sycamore trees that are in the lowland.
  3. And they were bringing horses for Solomon from Egypt and from all countries.
  4. Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, from first to last, are they not written in the records of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
  5. Solomon reigned forty years in Jerusalem over all Israel.
  1. こうして 彼は ユ ― フラテス 川から ペリシテ 人の 地方， 更に エジプト との 國境に 至るまで， 諸國の 王をすべて 支配下に 置いた．
  2. 王は エルサレム で， 銀を 石のように， レバノン 杉を シェフェラ のいちじく 桑のように 大量に 供給した．
  3. 馬は エジプト をはじめあらゆる 國から ソロモン のために 輸入された．
  4. ソロモン の 他の 事績は 初期のことも 後期のことも， 『預言者 ナタン の 言葉 』『シロ の 人 アヒヤ の 預言 』『ネバト の 子 ヤロブアム に 關する 先見者 イエド の 見た 幻 』に 記されている．
  5. ソロモン は， エルサレム で 四十年間全 イスラエル を 治めた．
  1. And Solomon slept with his fathers and was buried in the city of his father David; and his son Rehoboam reigned in his place.
  1. ソロモン は 先祖と 共に 眠りにつき， 父 ダビデ の 町に 葬られ， その 子 レハブアム が ソロモン に 代わって 王となった．
