- 諭しを 受け 入れて ／正義と 裁きと 公平に 目覺めるため．
- 未熟な 者に 熟慮を 敎え ／若者に 知識と 愼重さを 與えるため．
- これに 聞き 從えば， 賢人もなお 說得力を 加え ／聰明な 人も 指導力を 增すであろう．

- Hear, my son, your father's instruction And do not forsake your mother's teaching;
- Indeed, they are a graceful wreath to your head And ornaments about your neck.

- また， 格言， 寓話 ／賢人らの 言葉と 謎を 理解するため．
- 主を 畏れることは 知惠の 初め． 無知な 者は 知惠をも 諭しをも 侮る．
- わが 子よ， 父の 諭しに 聞き 從え． 母の 敎えをおろそかにするな．
- それらは 頭に 戴く 優雅な 冠 ／首にかける 飾りとなる．
