디모데전서 4:1-4:16

 바울은 디모데에게 교회를 위협하는 거짓 교리를 경계하면서 그리스도의 경건에 이르기를 연습하라고 당부했다. 또한 살아 계신 하나님께 소망을 두며 신앙 생활에 모범을 보이고 임무에 충실하도록 권면했다.
  
  이단의 경계(4:1-4:5)    
 
  1. But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,
  2. by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron,
  3. men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth.
  4. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude;
  5. for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer.
  1. しかし， “靈 ＂は 次のように 明確に 告げておられます． 終わりの 時には， 惑わす 靈と， 惡靈どもの 敎えとに 心を 奪われ， 信仰から 脫落する 者がいます．
  2. このことは， 僞りを 語る 者たちの 僞善によって 引き 起こされるのです． 彼らは 自分の 良心に 燒き 印を 押されており，
  3. 結婚を 禁じたり， ある 種の 食物を 斷つことを 命じたりします． しかし， この 食物は， 信仰を 持ち， 眞理を 認識した 人たちが 感謝して 食べるようにと， 神がお 造りになったものです．
  4. というのは， 神がお 造りになったものはすべて 良いものであり， 感謝して 受けるならば， 何一つ 捨てるものはないからです．
  5. 神の 言葉と 祈りとによって 聖なるものとされるのです．
 
  선한 일꾼에게 주는 훈계(4:6-4:16)    
 
  1. In pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following.
  2. But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness;
  3. for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
  4. It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance.
  5. For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.
  1. これらのことを 兄弟たちに 敎えるならば， あなたは， 信仰の 言葉とあなたが 守ってきた 善い 敎えの 言葉とに 養われて， キリスト · イエス の 立派な 奉仕者になります．
  2. 俗惡で 愚にもつかない 作り 話は 退けなさい． 信心のために 自分を 鍛えなさい．
  3. 體の 鍛練も 多少は 役に 立ちますが， 信心は， この 世と 來るべき 世での 命を 約束するので， すべての 点で 益となるからです．
  4. この 言葉は 眞實であり， そのまま 受け 入れるに 値します．
  5. わたしたちが 勞苦し， 奮鬪するのは， すべての 人， 特に 信じる 人¿の 救い 主である 生ける 神に 希望を 置いているからです．
  1. Prescribe and teach these things.
  2. Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.
  3. Until I come, give attention to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation and teaching.
  4. Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was bestowed on you through prophetic utterance with the laying on of hands by the presbytery.
  5. Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that your progress will be evident to all.
  1. これらのことを 命じ， 敎えなさい．
  2. あなたは， 年が 若いということで， だれからも 輕んじられてはなりません． むしろ， 言葉， 行動， 愛， 信仰， 純潔の 点で， 信じる 人¿の 模範となりなさい．
  3. わたしが 行くときまで， 聖書の 朗讀と 勸めと 敎えに 專念しなさい．
  4. あなたの 內にある 惠みの 賜物を 輕んじてはなりません． その 賜物は， 長老たちがあなたに 手を 置いたとき， 預言によって 與えられたものです．
  5. これらのことに 努めなさい． そこから 離れてはなりません． そうすれば， あなたの 進步はすべての 人に 明らかになるでしょう．
  1. Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.
  1. 自分自身と 敎えとに 氣を 配りなさい． 以上のことをしっかりと 守りなさい． そうすれば， あなたは 自分自身と， あなたの 言葉を 聞く 人¿とを 救うことになります．
 
  화인(火印, 4:2)  탈출을 기도한 노예들의 이마에 달군 쇠로 낙인을 찍는 형벌로, 화인 맞은 자리는 감각을 잃게 됨. 여기서는 무감각한 상태를 비유함
