- "And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say, 'O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD.
- 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Because the enemy has spoken against you, 'Aha!' and, 'The everlasting heights have become our possession,'
- therefore prophesy and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "For good reason they have made you desolate and crushed you from every side, that you would become a possession of the rest of the nations and you have been taken up in the talk and the whispering of the people."'"
- 'Therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD Thus says the Lord GOD to the mountains and to the hills, to the ravines and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes and to the forsaken cities which have become a prey and a derision to the rest of the nations which are round about,
- therefore thus says the Lord GOD, "Surely in the fire of My jealousy I have spoken against the rest of the nations, and against all Edom, who appropriated My land for themselves as a possession with wholehearted joy and with scorn of soul, to drive it out for a prey."

- 「人の 子よ， あなたは イスラエル の 山¿に 預言して 言いなさい． イスラエル の 山¿よ， 主の 言葉を 聞け．
- 主なる 神はこう 言われる． 敵がお 前たちに 向かって， 『ああ， 永遠の 丘が 今や 我¿の 所有となった 』と 言っている．
- それゆえ 預言して 言いなさい． 主なる 神はこう 言われる． お 前たちは 周圍の 者に 荒らされ， 踏みにじられ， 他の 國¿の 所有となったので， 人¿の 口にのぼり， うわさされるものとなった．
- それゆえ， イスラエル の 山¿よ， 主なる 神の 言葉を 聞け． 主なる 神は， 山と 丘， 谷と 低地， 荒れ 果てた 廢虛， また 周圍の 他の 國¿から 略奪され 侮られ， 捨てられた 町¿に 向かってこう 言われる．
- それゆえ， 主なる 神はこう 言われる． わたしは 燃える 熱情をもって， 他の 國¿と エドム に 對して 語る． 彼らはみな， 心底からはしゃぎ， 嘲って， わたしの 土地を 取り， 自分の 所有とし， 牧草地を 略奪した 者だ．

- 'Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel and say to the mountains and to the hills, to the ravines and to the valleys, "Thus says the Lord GOD, 'Behold, I have spoken in My jealousy and in My wrath because you have endured the insults of the nations.'
- "Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, 'I have sworn that surely the nations which are around you will themselves endure their insults.
- 'But you, O mountains of Israel, you will put forth your branches and bear your fruit for My people Israel; for they will soon come.
- 'For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you will be cultivated and sown.
- 'I will multiply men on you, all the house of Israel, all of it; and the cities will be inhabited and the waste places will be rebuilt.

- それゆえ， イスラエル の 地に 向かって 預言し， その 山¿と 丘， 谷と 低地に 語りなさい． 主なる 神はこう 言われる． わたしは 熱情と 憤りをもって 語った． それはお 前たちが 國¿から 辱めを 受けたからである．
- それゆえ， 主なる 神はこう 言われる． わたしは 手を 上げて 誓う． 必ず， お 前の 周圍の 國¿は 自分の 恥を 負う．
- しかし， お 前たち イスラエル の 山¿よ， お 前たちは 枝を 出し， わが 民 イスラエル のために 實を 結ぶ． 彼らが 戾って 來るのは 間近である．
- わたしはお 前たちのために， お 前たちのもとへと 向かう． お 前たちは 耕され， 種を 蒔かれる．
- わたしはお 前たちの 上に， イスラエル 全家の 人口をことごとく 增やす． 町¿には 人が 住むようになり， 廢虛は 建て 直される．

- 'I will multiply on you man and beast; and they will increase and be fruitful; and I will cause you to be inhabited as you were formerly and will treat you better than at the first. Thus you will know that I am the LORD.
- 'Yes, I will cause men--My people Israel--to walk on you and possess you, so that you will become their inheritance and never again bereave them of children.'
- "Thus says the Lord GOD, 'Because they say to you, "You are a devourer of men and have bereaved your nation of children,"
- therefore you will no longer devour men and no longer bereave your nation of children,' declares the Lord GOD.
- "I will not let you hear insults from the nations anymore, nor will you bear disgrace from the peoples any longer, nor will you cause your nation to stumble any longer," declares the Lord GOD.'"

- わたしはお 前たちの 上に 人と 家畜を 增やす． 彼らは 子を 産んで 增える． わたしはお 前たちを 昔のように 人の 住むところとし， 初めのときよりも 更に 榮えさせる． そのとき， お 前たちはわたしが 主であることを 知るようになる．
- わたしはお 前たちの 上に 人¿を， すなわちわが 民 イスラエル を 步ませる． 彼らがお 前を 所有し， お 前は 彼らの 嗣業となる． 二度と 彼らの 子たちを 失わせることはない．
- 主なる 神はこう 言われる． 人¿はお 前たちについて， 『お 前は 人間を 食らう 地， 自分の 民の 子を 失わせる 地だ 』と 言っている．
- それゆえ， お 前は 二度と 人間を 食らうことはなく， 二度と 自分の 民の 子を 失わせることはない， と 主なる 神は 言われる．
- わたしは 二度と 國¿の 辱めの 聲をお 前に 聞こえさせず， 諸國の 民の 侮りを 二度と 受けさせない． お 前も 自分の 民を 二度とつまずかせることはない 」と 主なる 神は 言われる．
