- The desire of the sluggard puts him to death, For his hands refuse to work;

- 惠みと 慈しみを 追い 求める 人は ／命と 惠みと 名譽を 得る．
- 知惠ある 人はひとりで 勇士たちの 町に 上り ／その 賴みとする 砦を 落とすこともできる．
- 自分の 口と 舌を 守る 人は ／苦難から 自分の 魂を 守る．
- 增長し， 高慢な 者， その 名は 不遜． 高慢のかぎりを 盡くす．
- 怠け 者は 自分の 欲望に 殺される． 彼の 手が ¿くことを 拒むからだ．

- All day long he is craving, While the righteous gives and does not hold back.
- The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination, How much more when he brings it with evil intent!
- A false witness will perish, But the man who listens to the truth will speak forever.
- A wicked man displays a bold face, But as for the upright, he makes his way sure.
- There is no wisdom and no understanding And no counsel against the LORD.
