- Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, "Come."
- I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.
- When He broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, "Come."
- And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.
- When He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, "Come " I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.

- また， わたしが 見ていると， 小羊が 七つの 封印の 一つを 開いた． すると， 四つの 生き 物の 一つが， 雷のような 聲で「出て 來い 」と 言うのを， わたしは 聞いた．
- そして 見ていると， 見よ， 白い 馬が 現れ， 乘っている 者は， 弓を 持っていた． 彼は 冠を 與えられ， 勝利の 上に 更に 勝利を 得ようと 出て 行った．
- 小羊が 第二の 封印を 開いたとき， 第二の 生き 物が「出て 來い 」と 言うのを， わたしは 聞いた．
- すると， 火のように 赤い 別の 馬が 現れた． その 馬に 乘っている 者には， 地上から 平和を 奪い 取って， 殺し 合いをさせる 力が 與えられた． また， この 者には 大きな 劍が 與えられた．
- 小羊が 第三の 封印を 開いたとき， 第三の 生き 物が「出て 來い 」と 言うのを， わたしは 聞いた． そして 見ていると， 見よ， 黑い 馬が 現れ， 乘っている 者は， 手に 秤を 持っていた．

- And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not damage the oil and the wine."
- When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, "Come."
- I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.
- When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained;
- and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, will You refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth?"

- わたしは， 四つの 生き 物の 間から 出る 聲のようなものが， こう 言うのを 聞いた． 「小麥は 一 コイニクス で 一 デナリオン ． 大麥は 三 コイニクス で 一 デナリオン ． オリ ― ブ 油とぶどう 酒とを 損なうな． 」
- 小羊が 第四の 封印を 開いたとき， 「出て 來い 」と 言う 第四の 生き 物の 聲を， わたしは 聞いた．
- そして 見ていると， 見よ， 靑白い 馬が 現れ， 乘っている 者の 名は「死 」といい， これに 陰府が 從っていた． 彼らには， 地上の 四分の 一を 支配し， 劍と 飢鴨と 死をもって， 更に 地上の 野¿で 人を 滅ぼす 權威が 與えられた．
- 小羊が 第五の 封印を 開いたとき， 神の 言葉と 自分たちがたてた 證しのために 殺された 人¿の 魂を， わたしは 祭壇の 下に 見た．
- 彼らは 大聲でこう 叫んだ． 「眞實で 聖なる 主よ， いつまで 裁きを 行わず， 地に 住む 者にわたしたちの 血の 復讐をなさらないのですか． 」

- And there was given to each of them a white robe; and they were told that they should rest for a little while longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed even as they had been, would be completed also.
- I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood;
- and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind.
- The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
- Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains;

- すると， その 一人一人に， 白い 衣が 與えられ， また， 自分たちと 同じように 殺されようとしている 兄弟であり， 仲間の 僕である 者たちの 數が 滿ちるまで， なお， しばらく 靜かに 待つようにと 告げられた．
- また， 見ていると， 小羊が 第六の 封印を 開いた． そのとき， 大地震が 起きて， 太陽は 毛の 粗い 布地のように 暗くなり， 月は 全體が 血のようになって，
- 天の 星は 地上に 落ちた． まるで， いちじくの 靑い 實が， 大風に ¿さぶられて 振り 落とされるようだった．
- 天は 卷物が 卷き 取られるように 消え 去り， 山も 島も， みなその 場所から 移された．
- 地上の 王， 高官， 千人隊長， 富める 者， 力ある 者， また， 奴隷も 自由な 身分の 者もことごとく， 洞穴や 山の 岩間に 隱れ，

- and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb;
- for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?"

- 山と 岩に 向かって， 「わたしたちの 上に 覆いかぶさって， 玉座に 座っておられる 方の 顔と 小羊の 怒りから， わたしたちをかくまってくれ 」と 言った．
- 神と 小羊の 怒りの 大いなる 日が 來たからである． だれがそれに 耐えられるであろうか．
