- He who rebukes a man will afterward find more favor Than he who flatters with the tongue.
- He who robs his father or his mother And says, "It is not a transgression," Is the companion of a man who destroys.

- 忠實な 人は 多くの 祝福を 受ける． 富むことにはやる 者は 罰せられずには 濟まない．
- 人を 偏り 見るのはよくない． だれでも 一片の パン のために 罪を 犯しうる．
- ·欲な 者は 財産を 得ようと 焦る． やって 來るのが 欠乏だとは 知らない．
- 人を 懲らしめる 者は ／舌の 滑らかな 者より 喜ばれる．
- 父母のものをかすめて ／「これは 罪ではない 」と 言う 者は ／滅ぼそうとたくらむ 者の 仲間だ．

- He who gives to the poor will never want, But he who shuts his eyes will have many curses.
- When the wicked rise, men hide themselves; But when they perish, the righteous increase.
