- We have sinned like our fathers, We have committed iniquity, we have behaved wickedly.
- Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your wonders; They did not remember Your abundant kindnesses, But rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea.
- Nevertheless He saved them for the sake of His name, That He might make His power known.
- Thus He rebuked the Red Sea and it dried up, And He led them through the deeps, as through the wilderness.
- So He saved them from the hand of the one who hated them, And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

- 우리가 우리의 조상들처럼 범죄하여 사악을 행하며 악을 지었나이다
- 우리의 조상들이 애굽에 있을 때 주의 기이한 일들을 깨닫지 못하며 주의 크신 인자를 기억하지 아니하고 바다 곧 홍해에서 거역하였나이다
- 그러나 여호와께서는 자기의 이름을 위하여 그들을 구원하셨으니 그의 큰 권능을 만인이 알게 하려 하심이로다
- 이에 홍해를 꾸짖으시니 곧 마르니 그들을 인도하여 바다 건너가기를 마치 광야를 지나감 같게 하사
- 그들을 그 미워하는 자의 손에서 구원하시며 그 원수의 손에서 구원하셨고
