예레미야애가 3:1-5:22

 예레미야는 자비와 긍휼이 무한하신 하나님께 절망에 처한 백성들을 구원해 주시기를 간구했고, 유다 백성들과 지도자들에게 그들의 죄를 상기시켜 회개를 촉구하였다. 그리고 유다의 회복을 소망하며 하나님께서 구원해 주실 것을 호소하였다.
  
  선지자의 고통과 기도(3:1-3:66)    
 
  1. I am the man who has seen affliction Because of the rod of His wrath.
  2. He has driven me and made me walk In darkness and not in light.
  3. Surely against me He has turned His hand Repeatedly all the day.
  4. He has caused my flesh and my skin to waste away, He has broken my bones.
  5. He has besieged and encompassed me with bitterness and hardship.
  1. 여호와의 분노의 매로 말미암아 고난 당한 자는 나로다
  2. 나를 이끌어 어둠 안에서 걸어가게 하시고 빛 안에서 걸어가지 못하게 하셨으며
  3. 종일토록 손을 들어 자주자주 나를 치시는도다
  4. 나의 살과 가죽을 쇠하게 하시며 나의 뼈들을 꺾으셨고
  5. 고통과 수고를 쌓아 나를 에우셨으며
  1. In dark places He has made me dwell, Like those who have long been dead.
  2. He has walled me in so that I cannot go out; He has made my chain heavy.
  3. Even when I cry out and call for help, He shuts out my prayer.
  4. He has blocked my ways with hewn stone; He has made my paths crooked.
  5. He is to me like a bear lying in wait, Like a lion in secret places.
  1. 나를 어둠 속에 살게 하시기를 죽은 지 오랜 자 같게 하셨도다
  2. 나를 둘러싸서 나가지 못하게 하시고 내 사슬을 무겁게 하셨으며
  3. 내가 부르짖어 도움을 구하나 내 기도를 물리치시며
  4. 다듬은 돌을 쌓아 내 길들을 막으사 내 길들을 굽게 하셨도다
  5. 그는 내게 대하여 엎드려 기다리는 곰과 은밀한 곳에 있는 사자 같으사
  1. He has turned aside my ways and torn me to pieces; He has made me desolate.
  2. He bent His bow And set me as a target for the arrow.
  3. He made the arrows of His quiver To enter into my inward parts.
  4. I have become a laughingstock to all my people, Their mocking song all the day.
  5. He has filled me with bitterness, He has made me drunk with wormwood.
  1. 나의 길들로 치우치게 하시며 내 몸을 찢으시며 나를 적막하게 하셨도다
  2. 활을 당겨 나를 화살의 과녁으로 삼으심이여
  3. 화살통의 화살들로 내 허리를 맞추셨도다
  4. 나는 내 모든 백성에게 조롱거리 곧 종일토록 그들의 노랫거리가 되었도다
  5. 나를 쓴 것들로 배불리시고 쑥으로 취하게 하셨으며
  1. He has broken my teeth with gravel; He has made me cower in the dust.
  2. My soul has been rejected from peace; I have forgotten happiness.
  3. So I say, "My strength has perished, And so has my hope from the LORD."
  4. Remember my affliction and my wandering, the wormwood and bitterness.
  5. Surely my soul remembers And is bowed down within me.
  1. 조약돌로 내 이들을 꺾으시고 재로 나를 덮으셨도다
  2. 주께서 내 심령이 평강에서 멀리 떠나게 하시니 내가 복을 내어버렸음이여
  3. 스스로 이르기를 나의 힘과 여호와께 대한 내 소망이 끊어졌다 하였도다
  4. 내 고초와 재난 곧 쑥과 담즙을 기억하소서
  5. 내 마음이 그것을 기억하고 내가 낙심이 되오나
  1. This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope.
  2. The LORD'S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail.
  3. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.
  4. "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I have hope in Him."
  5. The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the person who seeks Him.
  1. 이것을 내가 내 마음에 담아 두었더니 그것이 오히려 나의 소망이 되었사옴은
  2. 여호와의 인자와 긍휼이 무궁하시므로 우리가 진멸되지 아니함이니이다
  3. 이것들이 아침마다 새로우니 주의 성실하심이 크시도소이다
  4. 내 심령에 이르기를 여호와는 나의 기업이시니 그러므로 내가 그를 바라리라 하도다
  5. 기다리는 자들에게나 구하는 영혼들에게 여호와는 선하시도다
  1. It is good that he waits silently For the salvation of the LORD.
  2. It is good for a man that he should bear The yoke in his youth.
  3. Let him sit alone and be silent Since He has laid it on him.
  4. Let him put his mouth in the dust, Perhaps there is hope.
  5. Let him give his cheek to the smiter, Let him be filled with reproach.
  1. 사람이 여호와의 구원을 바라고 잠잠히 기다림이 좋도다
  2. 사람은 젊었을 때에 멍에를 메는 것이 좋으니
  3. 혼자 앉아서 잠잠할 것은 주께서 그것을 그에게 메우셨음이라
  4. 그대의 입을 땅의 티끌에 댈지어다 혹시 소망이 있을지로다
  5. 자기를 치는 자에게 뺨을 돌려대어 치욕으로 배불릴지어다
  1. For the Lord will not reject forever,
  2. For if He causes grief, Then He will have compassion According to His abundant lovingkindness.
  3. For He does not afflict willingly Or grieve the sons of men.
  4. To crush under His feet All the prisoners of the land,
  5. To deprive a man of justice In the presence of the Most High,
  1. 이는 주께서 영원하도록 버리지 아니하실 것임이며
  2. 그가 비록 근심하게 하시나 그의 풍부한 인자하심에 따라 긍휼히 여기실 것임이라
  3. 주께서 인생으로 고생하게 하시며 근심하게 하심은 본심이 아니시로다
  4. 세상에 있는 모든 갇힌 자들을 발로 밟는 것과
  5. 지존자의 얼굴 앞에서 사람의 재판을 굽게 하는 것과
  1. To defraud a man in his lawsuit-- Of these things the Lord does not approve.
  2. Who is there who speaks and it comes to pass, Unless the Lord has commanded it?
  3. Is it not from the mouth of the Most High That both good and ill go forth?
  4. Why should any living mortal, or any man, Offer complaint in view of his sins?
  5. Let us examine and probe our ways, And let us return to the LORD.
  1. 사람의 송사를 억울하게 하는 것은 다 주께서 기쁘게 보시는 것이 아니로다
  2. 주의 명령이 아니면 누가 이것을 능히 말하여 이루게 할 수 있으랴
  3. 화와 복이 지존자의 입으로부터 나오지 아니하느냐
  4. 살아 있는 사람은 자기 죄들 때문에 벌을 받나니 어찌 원망하랴
  5. 우리가 스스로 우리의 행위들을 조사하고 여호와께로 돌아가자
  1. We lift up our heart and hands Toward God in heaven;
  2. We have transgressed and rebelled, You have not pardoned.
  3. You have covered Yourself with anger And pursued us; You have slain and have not spared.
  4. You have covered Yourself with a cloud So that no prayer can pass through.
  5. You have made us mere offscouring and refuse In the midst of the peoples.
  1. 우리의 마음과 손을 아울러 하늘에 계신 하나님께 들자
  2. 우리의 범죄함과 우리의 반역함을 주께서 사하지 아니하시고
  3. 진노로 자신을 가리시고 우리를 추격하시며 죽이시고 긍휼을 베풀지 아니하셨나이다
  4. 주께서 구름으로 자신을 가리사 기도가 상달되지 못하게 하시고
  5. 우리를 뭇 나라 가운데에서 쓰레기와 폐물로 삼으셨으므로
  1. All our enemies have opened their mouths against us.
  2. Panic and pitfall have befallen us, Devastation and destruction;
  3. My eyes run down with streams of water Because of the destruction of the daughter of my people.
  4. My eyes pour down unceasingly, Without stopping,
  5. Until the LORD looks down And sees from heaven.
  1. 우리의 모든 원수들이 우리를 향하여 그들의 입을 크게 벌렸나이다
  2. 두려움과 함정과 파멸과 멸망이 우리에게 임하였도다
  3. 딸 내 백성의 파멸로 말미암아 내 눈에는 눈물이 시내처럼 흐르도다
  4. 내 눈에 흐르는 눈물이 그치지 아니하고 쉬지 아니함이여
  5. 여호와께서 하늘에서 살피시고 돌아보실 때까지니라
  1. My eyes bring pain to my soul Because of all the daughters of my city.
  2. My enemies without cause Hunted me down like a bird;
  3. They have silenced me in the pit And have placed a stone on me.
  4. Waters flowed over my head; I said, "I am cut off!"
  5. I called on Your name, O LORD, Out of the lowest pit.
  1. 나의 성읍의 모든 여자들을 내 눈으로 보니 내 심령이 상하는도다
  2. 나의 원수들이 이유없이 나를 새처럼 사냥하는도다
  3. 그들이 내 생명을 끊으려고 나를 구덩이에 넣고 그 위에 돌을 던짐이여
  4. 물이 내 머리 위로 넘치니 내가 스스로 이르기를 이제는 멸절되었다 하도다
  5. 여호와여 내가 심히 깊은 구덩이에서 주의 이름을 불렀나이다
  1. You have heard my voice, "Do not hide Your ear from my prayer for relief, From my cry for help."
  2. You drew near when I called on You; You said, "Do not fear!"
  3. O Lord, You have pleaded my soul's cause; You have redeemed my life.
  4. O LORD, You have seen my oppression; Judge my case.
  5. You have seen all their vengeance, All their schemes against me.
  1. 주께서 이미 나의 음성을 들으셨사오니 이제 나의 탄식과 부르짖음에 주의 귀를 가리지 마옵소서
  2. 내가 주께 아뢴 날에 주께서 내게 가까이 하여 이르시되 두려워하지 말라 하셨나이다
  3. 주여 주께서 내 심령의 원통함을 풀어 주셨고 내 생명을 속량하셨나이다
  4. 여호와여 나의 억울함을 보셨사오니 나를 위하여 원통함을 풀어주옵소서
  5. 그들이 내게 보복하며 나를 모해함을 주께서 다 보셨나이다
  1. You have heard their reproach, O LORD, All their schemes against me.
  2. The lips of my assailants and their whispering Are against me all day long.
  3. Look on their sitting and their rising; I am their mocking song.
  4. You will recompense them, O LORD, According to the work of their hands.
  5. You will give them hardness of heart, Your curse will be on them.
  1. 여호와여 그들이 나를 비방하며 나를 모해하는 모든 것
  2. 곧 일어나 나를 치는 자들의 입술에서 나오는 것들과 종일 나를 모해하는 것들을 들으셨나이다
  3. 그들이 앉으나 서나 나를 조롱하여 노래하는 것을 주목하여 보옵소서
  4. 여호와여 주께서 그들의 손이 행한 대로 그들에게 보응하사
  5. 그들에게 거만한 마음을 주시고 그들에게 저주를 내리소서
  1. You will pursue them in anger and destroy them From under the heavens of the LORD!
  1. 주께서 진노로 그들을 뒤쫓으사 여호와의 하늘 아래에서 멸하소서
 
  시온을 향한 애가(4:1-4:22)    
 
  1. How dark the gold has become, How the pure gold has changed! The sacred stones are poured out At the corner of every street.
  2. The precious sons of Zion, Weighed against fine gold, How they are regarded as earthen jars, The work of a potter's hands!
  3. Even jackals offer the breast, They nurse their young; But the daughter of my people has become cruel Like ostriches in the wilderness.
  4. The tongue of the infant cleaves To the roof of its mouth because of thirst; The little ones ask for bread, But no one breaks it for them.
  5. Those who ate delicacies Are desolate in the streets; Those reared in purple Embrace ash pits.
  1. 슬프다 어찌 그리 금이 빛을 잃고 순금이 변질하였으며 성소의 돌들이 거리 어귀마다 쏟아졌는고
  2. 순금에 비할 만큼 보배로운 시온의 아들들이 어찌 그리 토기장이가 만든 질항아리 같이 여김이 되었는고
  3. 들개들도 젖을 주어 그들의 새끼를 먹이나 딸 내 백성은 잔인하여 마치 광야의 타조 같도다
  4. 젖먹이가 목말라서 혀가 입천장에 붙음이여 어린 아이들이 떡을 구하나 떼어 줄 사람이 없도다
  5. 맛있는 음식을 먹던 자들이 외롭게 거리 거리에 있으며 이전에는 붉은 옷을 입고 자라난 자들이 이제는 거름더미를 안았도다
  1. For the iniquity of the daughter of my people Is greater than the sin of Sodom, Which was overthrown as in a moment, And no hands were turned toward her.
  2. Her consecrated ones were purer than snow, They were whiter than milk; They were more ruddy in body than corals, Their polishing was like lapis lazuli.
  3. Their appearance is blacker than soot, They are not recognized in the streets; Their skin is shriveled on their bones, It is withered, it has become like wood.
  4. Better are those slain with the sword Than those slain with hunger; For they pine away, being stricken For lack of the fruits of the field.
  5. The hands of compassionate women Boiled their own children; They became food for them Because of the destruction of the daughter of my people.
  1. 전에 소돔이 사람의 손을 대지 아니하였는데도 순식간에 무너지더니 이제는 딸 내 백성의 죄가 소돔의 죄악보다 무겁도다
  2. 전에는 존귀한 자들의 몸이 눈보다 깨끗하고 젖보다 희며 산호들보다 붉어 그들의 윤택함이 갈아서 빛낸 청옥 같더니
  3. 이제는 그들의 얼굴이 숯보다 검고 그들의 가죽이 뼈들에 붙어 막대기 같이 말랐으니 어느 거리에서든지 알아볼 사람이 없도다
  4. 칼에 죽은 자들이 주려 죽은 자들보다 나음은 토지 소산이 끊어지므로 그들은 찔림 받은 자들처럼 점점 쇠약하여 감이로다
  5. 딸 내 백성이 멸망할 때에 자비로운 부녀들이 자기들의 손으로 자기들의 자녀들을 삶아 먹었도다
  1. The LORD has accomplished His wrath, He has poured out His fierce anger; And He has kindled a fire in Zion Which has consumed its foundations.
  2. The kings of the earth did not believe, Nor did any of the inhabitants of the world, That the adversary and the enemy Could enter the gates of Jerusalem.
  3. Because of the sins of her prophets And the iniquities of her priests, Who have shed in her midst The blood of the righteous;
  4. They wandered, blind, in the streets; They were defiled with blood So that no one could touch their garments.
  5. "Depart! Unclean!" they cried of themselves "Depart, depart, do not touch!" So they fled and wandered; Men among the nations said, "They shall not continue to dwell with us."
  1. 여호와께서 그의 분을 내시며 그의 맹렬한 진노를 쏟으심이여 시온에 불을 지르사 그 터를 사르셨도다
  2. 대적과 원수가 예루살렘 성문으로 들어갈 줄은 세상의 모든 왕들과 천하 모든 백성이 믿지 못하였었도다
  3. 그의 선지자들의 죄들과 제사장들의 죄악들 때문이니 그들이 성읍 안에서 의인들의 피를 흘렸도다
  4. 그들이 거리 거리에서 맹인 같이 방황함이여 그들의 옷들이 피에 더러워졌으므로 그들이 만질 수 없도다
  5. 사람들이 그들에게 외쳐 이르기를 저리 가라 부정하다, 저리 가라, 저리 가라, 만지지 말라 하였음이여 그들이 도망하여 방황할 때에 이방인들이 말하기를 그들이 다시는 여기서 살지 못하리라 하였도다
  1. The presence of the LORD has scattered them, He will not continue to regard them; They did not honor the priests, They did not favor the elders.
  2. Yet our eyes failed, Looking for help was useless; In our watching we have watched For a nation that could not save.
  3. They hunted our steps So that we could not walk in our streets; Our end drew near, Our days were finished For our end had come.
  4. Our pursuers were swifter Than the eagles of the sky; They chased us on the mountains, They waited in ambush for us in the wilderness.
  5. The breath of our nostrils, the LORD'S anointed, Was captured in their pits, Of whom we had said, "Under his shadow We shall live among the nations."
  1. 여호와께서 노하여 그들을 흩으시고 다시는 돌보지 아니하시리니 그들이 제사장들을 높이지 아니하였으며 장로들을 대접하지 아니하였음이로다
  2. 우리가 헛되이 도움을 바라므로 우리의 눈이 상함이여 우리를 구원하지 못할 나라를 바라보고 바라보았도다
  3. 그들이 우리의 걸음을 엿보니 우리가 거리마다 다 다닐 수 없음이여 우리의 끝이 가깝고 우리의 날들이 다하였으며 우리의 종말이 이르렀도다
  4. 우리를 뒤쫓는 자들이 하늘의 독수리들보다 빠름이여 산 꼭대기까지도 뒤쫓으며 광야에서도 우리를 잡으려고 매복하였도다
  5. 우리의 콧김 곧 여호와께서 기름 부으신 자가 그들의 함정에 빠졌음이여 우리가 그를 가리키며 전에 이르기를 우리가 그의 그늘 아래에서 이방인들 중에 살겠다 하던 자로다
  1. Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, Who dwells in the land of Uz; But the cup will come around to you as well, You will become drunk and make yourself naked.
  2. The punishment of your iniquity has been completed, O daughter of Zion; He will exile you no longer But He will punish your iniquity, O daughter of Edom; He will expose your sins!
  1. 우스 땅에 사는 딸 에돔아 즐거워하며 기뻐하라 잔이 네게도 이를지니 네가 취하여 벌거벗으리라
  2. 딸 시온아 네 죄악의 형벌이 다하였으니 주께서 다시는 너로 사로잡혀 가지 아니하게 하시리로다 딸 에돔아 주께서 네 죄악을 벌하시며 네 허물을 드러내시리로다
 
  회복을 구하는 기도(5:1-5:22)    
 
  1. Remember, O LORD, what has befallen us; Look, and see our reproach!
  2. Our inheritance has been turned over to strangers, Our houses to aliens.
  3. We have become orphans without a father, Our mothers are like widows.
  4. We have to pay for our drinking water, Our wood comes to us at a price.
  5. Our pursuers are at our necks; We are worn out, there is no rest for us.
  1. 여호와여 우리가 당한 것을 기억하시고 우리가 받은 치욕을 살펴보옵소서
  2. 우리의 기업이 외인들에게, 우리의 집들도 이방인들에게 돌아갔나이다
  3. 우리는 아버지 없는 고아들이오며 우리의 어머니는 과부들 같으니
  4. 우리가 은을 주고 물을 마시며 값을 주고 나무들을 가져오며
  5. 우리를 뒤쫓는 자들이 우리의 목을 눌렀사오니 우리가 기진하여 쉴 수 없나이다
  1. We have submitted to Egypt and Assyria to get enough bread.
  2. Our fathers sinned, and are no more; It is we who have borne their iniquities.
  3. Slaves rule over us; There is no one to deliver us from their hand.
  4. We get our bread at the risk of our lives Because of the sword in the wilderness.
  5. Our skin has become as hot as an oven, Because of the burning heat of famine.
  1. 우리가 애굽 사람과 앗수르 사람과 악수하고 양식을 얻어 배불리고자 하였나이다
  2. 우리의 조상들은 범죄하고 없어졌으며 우리는 그들의 죄악을 담당하였나이다
  3. 종들이 우리를 지배함이여 그들의 손에서 건져낼 자가 없나이다
  4. 광야에는 칼이 있으므로 죽기를 무릅써야 양식을 얻사오니
  5. 굶주림의 열기로 말미암아 우리의 피부가 아궁이처럼 검으니이다
  1. They ravished the women in Zion, The virgins in the cities of Judah.
  2. Princes were hung by their hands; Elders were not respected.
  3. Young men worked at the grinding mill, And youths stumbled under loads of wood.
  4. Elders are gone from the gate, Young men from their music.
  5. The joy of our hearts has ceased; Our dancing has been turned into mourning.
  1. 대적들이 시온에서 부녀들을, 유다 각 성읍에서 처녀들을 욕보였나이다
  2. 지도자들은 그들의 손에 매달리고 장로들의 얼굴도 존경을 받지 못하나이다
  3. 청년들이 맷돌을 지며 아이들이 나무를 지다가 엎드러지오며
  4. 노인들은 다시 성문에 앉지 못하며 청년들은 다시 노래하지 못하나이다
  5. 우리의 마음에는 기쁨이 그쳤고 우리의 춤은 변하여 슬픔이 되었사오며
  1. The crown has fallen from our head; Woe to us, for we have sinned!
  2. Because of this our heart is faint, Because of these things our eyes are dim;
  3. Because of Mount Zion which lies desolate, Foxes prowl in it.
  4. You, O LORD, rule forever; Your throne is from generation to generation.
  5. Why do You forget us forever? Why do You forsake us so long?
  1. 우리의 머리에서는 면류관이 떨어졌사오니 오호라 우리의 범죄 때문이니이다
  2. 이러므로 우리의 마음이 피곤하고 이러므로 우리 눈들이 어두우며
  3. 시온 산이 황폐하여 여우가 그 안에서 노나이다
  4. 여호와여 주는 영원히 계시오며 주의 보좌는 대대에 이르나이다
  5. 주께서 어찌하여 우리를 영원히 잊으시오며 우리를 이같이 오래 버리시나이까
  1. Restore us to You, O LORD, that we may be restored; Renew our days as of old,
  2. Unless You have utterly rejected us And are exceedingly angry with us.
  1. 여호와여 우리를 주께로 돌이키소서 그리하시면 우리가 주께로 돌아가겠사오니 우리의 날들을 다시 새롭게 하사 옛적 같게 하옵소서
  2. 주께서 우리를 아주 버리셨사오며 우리에게 진노하심이 참으로 크시니이다
