창세기 3:1-4:26

 여자가 뱀의 유혹을 받아 하나님께서 금하신 선악을 알게 하는 나무의 실과를 먹고 아담에게도 먹게 하였다. 이를 아신 하나님께서는 뱀과 여자와 아담에게 저주와 고통과 죽음을 선언하셨다. 에덴 동산에서 쫓겨난 아담과 하와는 가인과 아벨을 낳았다. 이들이 장성하여 하나님께 제물을 드렸는데, 하나님께서 아벨의 제물만 열납하시자 이를 본 가인은 아벨을 죽이고 놋 땅에 거했다.
  
  인간의 타락(3:1-3:24)    
 
  1. Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
  2. The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,
  3. but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "
  4. "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman.
  5. "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
  1. 여호와 하나님의 지으신 들짐승 중에 뱀이 가장 간교하더라 뱀이 여자에게 물어 가로되 하나님이 참으로 너희더러 동산 모든 나무의 실과를 먹지 말라 하시더냐
  2. 여자가 뱀에게 말하되 동산 나무의 실과를 우리가 먹을 수 있으나
  3. 동산 중앙에 있는 나무의 실과는 하나님의 말씀에 너희는 먹지도 말고 만지지도 말라 너희가 죽을까 하노라 하셨느니라
  4. 뱀이 여자에게 이르되 너희가 결코 죽지 아니하리라
  5. 너희가 그것을 먹는 날에는 너희 눈이 밝아 하나님과 같이 되어 선악을 알줄을 하나님이 아심이니라
  1. When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
  2. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
  3. Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
  4. But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"
  5. He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid."
  1. 여자가 그 나무를 본즉 먹음직도 하고 보암직도 하고 지혜롭게 할만큼 탐스럽기도 한 나무인지라 여자가 그 실과를 따먹고 자기와 함께한 남편에게도 주매 그도 먹은지라
  2. 이에 그들의 눈이 밝아 자기들의 몸이 벗은 줄을 알고 무화과나무 잎을 엮어 치마를 하였더라
  3. 그들이 날이 서늘할 때에 동산에 거니시는 여호와 하나님의 음성을 듣고 아담과 그 아내가 여호와 하나님의 낯을 피하여 동산 나무 사이에 숨은지라
  4. 여호와 하나님이 아담을 부르시며 그에게 이르시되 네가 어디 있느냐
  5. 가로되 내가 동산에서 하나님의 소리를 듣고 내가 벗었으므로 두려워하여 숨었나이다
  1. And he said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?"
  2. The man said, "The woman you put here with me--she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it."
  3. Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."
  4. So the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, "Cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.
  5. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."
  1. 가라사대 누가 너의 벗었음을 네게 고하였느냐 내가 너더러 먹지 말라 명한 그 나무 실과를 네가 먹었느냐
  2. 아담이 가로되 하나님이 주셔서 나와 함께하게 하신 여자 그가 그 나무 실과를 내게 주므로 내가 먹었나이다
  3. 여호와 하나님이 여자에게 이르시되 네가 어찌하여 이렇게 하였느냐 여자가 가로되 뱀이 나를 꾀므로 내가 먹었나이다
  4. 여호와 하나님이 뱀에게 이르시되 네가 이렇게 하였으니 네가 모든 육축과 들의 모든 짐승보다 더욱 저주를 받아 배로 다니고 종신토록 흙을 먹을지니라
  5. 내가 너로 여자와 원수가 되게하고 너의 후손도 여자의 후손과 원수가 되게 하리니 여자의 후손은 네 머리를 상하게 할 것이요 너는 그의 발꿈치를 상하게 할 것이니라 하시고
  1. To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you."
  2. To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,' "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.
  3. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.
  4. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return."
  5. Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living.
  1. 또 여자에게 이르시되 내가 네게 잉태하는 고통을 크게 더하리니 네가 수고하고 자식을 낳을 것이며 너는 남편을 사모하고 남편은 너를 다스릴 것이니라 하시고
  2. 아담에게 이르시되 네가 네 아내의 말을 듣고 내가 너더러 먹지 말라한 나무 실과를 먹었은즉 땅은 너로 인하여 저주를 받고 너는 종신토록 수고하여야 그 소산을 먹으리라
  3. 땅이 네게 가시덤불과 엉겅퀴를 낼 것이라 너의 먹을 것은 밭의 채소인즉
  4. 네가 얼굴에 땀이 흘러야 식물을 먹고 필경은 흙으로 돌아 가리니 그 속에서 네가 취함을 입었음이라 너는 흙이니 흙으로 돌아갈 것이니라 하시니라
  5. 아담이 그 아내를 하와라 이름하였으니 그는 모든 산 자의 어미가 됨이더라
  1. The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.
  2. And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever."
  3. So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.
  4. After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.
  1. 여호와 하나님이 아담과 그 아내를 위하여 가죽옷을 지어 입히시니라
  2. 여호와 하나님이 가라사대 보라 이 사람이 선악을 아는 일에 우리 중 하나 같이 되었으니 그가 그 손을 들어 생명나무 실과도 따먹고 영생할까 하노라 하시고
  3. 여호와 하나님이 에덴동산에서 그 사람을 내어 보내어 그의 근본된 토지를 갈게 하시니라
  4. 이같이 하나님이 그 사람을 쫓아 내시고 에덴동산 동편에 그룹들과 두루 도는 화염검을 두어 생명나무의 길을 지키게 하시니라
 
  가인과 아벨(4:1-4:26)    
 
  1. Adam lay with his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, "With the help of the LORD I have brought forth a man."
  2. Later she gave birth to his brother Abel. Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil.
  3. In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD.
  4. But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering,
  5. but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.
  1. 아담이 그 아내 하와와 동침하매 하와가 잉태하여 가인을 낳고 이르되 내가 여호와로 말미암아 득남하였다 하니라
  2. 그가 또 가인의 아우 아벨을 낳았는데 아벨은 양 치는 자이었고 가인은 농사하는 자이었더라
  3. 세월이 지난 후에 가인은 땅의 소산으로 제물을 삼아 여호와께 드렸고
  4. 아벨은 자기도 양의 첫 새끼와 그 기름으로 드렸더니 여호와께서 아벨과 그 제물은 열납하셨으나
  5. 가인과 그 제물은 열납하지 아니하신지라 가인이 심히 분하여 안색이 변하니
  1. Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast?
  2. If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it."
  3. Now Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out to the field." And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.
  4. Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?" "I don't know," he replied. "Am I my brother's keeper?"
  5. The LORD said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground.
  1. 여호와께서 가인에게 이르시되 네가 분하여 함은 어찜이며 안색이 변함은 어찜이뇨
  2. 네가 선을 행하면 어찌 낯을 들지 못하겠느냐 선을 행치 아니하면 죄가 문에 엎드리느니라 죄의 소원은 네게 있으나 너는 죄를 다스릴찌니라
  3. 가인이 그 아우 아벨에게 고하니라 그 후 그들이 들에 있을 때에 가인이 그 아우 아벨을 쳐 죽이니라
  4. 여호와께서 가인에게 이르시되 네 아우 아벨이 어디 있느냐 그가 가로되 내가 알지 못하나이다 내가 내 아우를 지키는 자니이까
  5. 가라사대 네가 무엇을 하였느냐 네 아우의 핏소리가 땅에서부터 내게 호소하느니라
  1. Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand.
  2. When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth."
  3. Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is more than I can bear.
  4. Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me."
  5. But the LORD said to him, "Not so ; if anyone kills Cain, he will suffer vengeance seven times over." Then the LORD put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him.
  1. 땅이 그 입을 벌려 네 손에서부터 네 아우의 피를 받았은즉 네가 땅에서 저주를 받으리니
  2. 네가 밭 갈아도 땅이 다시는 그 효력을 네게 주지 아니할 것이요 너는 땅에서 피하며 유리하는 자가 되리라
  3. 가인이 여호와께 고하되 내 죄벌이 너무 중하여 견딜 수 없나이다
  4. 주께서 오늘 이 지면에서 나를 쫓아 내시온즉 내가 주의 낯을 뵈옵지 못하리니 내가 땅에서 피하며 유리하는 자가 될찌라 무릇 나를 만나는 자가 나를 죽이겠나이다
  5. 여호와께서 그에게 이르시되 그렇지 않다 가인을 죽이는 자는 벌을 칠배나 받으리라 하시고 가인에게 표를 주사 만나는 누구에게든지 죽임을 면케 하시니라
  1. So Cain went out from the LORD's presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.
  2. Cain lay with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Cain was then building a city, and he named it after his son Enoch.
  3. To Enoch was born Irad, and Irad was the father of Mehujael, and Mehujael was the father of Methushael, and Methushael was the father of Lamech.
  4. Lamech married two women, one named Adah and the other Zillah.
  5. Adah gave birth to Jabal; he was the father of those who live in tents and raise livestock.
  1. 가인이 여호와의 앞을 떠나 나가 에덴 동편 놋 땅에 거하였더니
  2. 아내와 동침하니 그가 잉태하여 에녹을 낳은지라 가인이 성을 쌓고 그 아들의 이름으로 성을 이름하여 에녹이라 하였더라
  3. 에녹이 이랏을 낳았고 이랏은 므후야엘을 낳았고 므후야엘은 므드사엘을 낳았고 므드사엘은 라멕을 낳았더라
  4. 라멕이 두 아내를 취하였으니 하나의 이름은 아다요 하나의 이름은 씰라며
  5. 아다는 야발을 낳았으니 그는 장막에 거하여 육축 치는 자의 조상이 되었고
  1. His brother's name was Jubal; he was the father of all who play the harp and flute.
  2. Zillah also had a son, Tubal-Cain, who forged all kinds of tools out of bronze and iron. Tubal-Cain's sister was Naamah.
  3. Lamech said to his wives, "Adah and Zillah, listen to me; wives of Lamech, hear my words. I have killed a man for wounding me, a young man for injuring me.
  4. If Cain is avenged seven times, then Lamech seventy-seven times."
  5. Adam lay with his wife again, and she gave birth to a son and named him Seth, saying, "God has granted me another child in place of Abel, since Cain killed him."
  1. 그 아우의 이름은 유발이니 그는 수금과 퉁소를 잡는 모든 자의 조상이 되었으며
  2. 씰라는 두발가인을 낳았으니 그는 동철로 각양 날카로운 기계를 만드는 자요 두발가인의 누이는 나아마이었더라
  3. 라멕이 아내들에게 이르되 아다와 씰라여 내 소리를 들으라 라멕의 아내들이여 내 말을 들으라 나의 창상을 인하여 내가 사람을 죽였고 나의 상함을 인하여 소년을 죽였도다
  4. 가인을 위하여는 벌이 칠배일찐대 라멕을 위하여는 벌이 칠십 칠배이리로다 하였더라
  5. 아담이 다시 아내와 동침하매 그가 아들을 낳아 그 이름을 셋이라 하였으니 이는 하나님이 내게 가인의 죽인 아벨 대신에 다른 씨를 주셨다 함이며
  1. Seth also had a son, and he named him Enosh. At that time men began to call on the name of the LORD.
  1. 셋도 아들을 낳고 그 이름을 에노스라 하였으며 그 때에 사람들이 비로소 여호와의 이름을 불렀더라
 
  화염검(火焰劍, 3:24)  자체적으로 회전하며 돌아가는 불칼로, 하나님의 위엄을 상징함  
  창상(創傷, 4:23)  칼이나 도끼 등의 날이 있는 연장에 다친 상처
