스가랴

본서는 스가랴 선지자가 주변 사람들과 사마리아인들의 방해로 성전 재건이 중단됨으로 인해 좌절한 백성들에게 용기를 주어 성전을 재건하게 하고, 메시아 도래의 영광을 바라보게 하기 위해 기록하였다.

성전 건축을 완성하도록 격려하는 동안 스가랴는 여덟 가지의 환상을 보게 된다. 이 환상들은 유다와 예루살렘에 있는 유대인들을 하나님께서 보살피시며 통치하신다는 것과 이스라엘의 회심과 회복을 상징하는 것이었다. 한편 성전이 재건되고 있는데도 금식을 하는 것에 대해 의문을 제기하는 백성들에게 스가랴는 형식적인 금식보다는 순종과 회개를 강조한다. 성전이 재건된 후 스가랴는 메시아의 초림과 재림 및 통치에 대해서 예언한다.

	스가랴 1:1-3:10 열조의 악한 행실에서 떠나 야웨 앞으로 돌아오라는 하나님의 말씀을 선포한 스가랴는 여덟 가지의 환상을 보았다. 첫번째는 홍마 탄 자의 환상, 두번째는 네 뿔과 네 공장(工匠)의 환상, 세 번째는 척량줄을 잡은 자의 환상, 그리고 네번째는 야웨 앞에 선 대제사장 여호수아의 환상이었다.

	환상들(1:1-3:10)

In the eighth month of the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Zechariah son of Berekiah, the son of Iddo:

"The LORD was very angry with your forefathers.

Therefore tell the people: This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Return to me,' declares the LORD Almighty, 'and I will return to you,' says the LORD Almighty.

Do not be like your forefathers, to whom the earlier prophets proclaimed: This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Turn from your evil ways and your evil practices.' But they would not listen or pay attention to me, declares the LORD.

Where are your forefathers now? And the prophets, do they live forever?

다리오왕 이년 팔월에 여호와의 말씀이 잇도의 손자 베레갸의 아들 선지자 스가랴에게 임하니라 가라사대

나 여호와가 무리의 열조에게 심히 진노하였느니라

그러므로 너는 무리에게 고하기를 만군의 여호와께서 이처럼 이르시되 너희는 내게로 돌아오라 나 만군의 여호와의 말이니라 그리하면 내가 너희에게로 돌아가리라 나 만군의 여호와의 말이니라

너희 열조를 본받지 말라 옛적 선지자들이 그들에게 외쳐 가로되 만군의 여호와께서 말씀하시기를 너희가 악한 길, 악한 행실을 떠나서 돌아오라 하셨다 하나 그들이 듣지 않고 내게 귀를 기울이지 아니하였느니라 나 여호와의 말이니라

너희 열조가 어디 있느냐 선지자들이 영원히 살겠느냐

But did not my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, overtake your forefathers? "Then they repented and said, 'The LORD Almighty has done to us what our ways and practices deserve, just as he determined to do.'"

On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, the month of Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Zechariah son of Berekiah, the son of Iddo.

During the night I had a vision--and there before me was a man riding a red horse! He was standing among the myrtle trees in a ravine. Behind him were red, brown and white horses.

I asked, "What are these, my lord?" The angel who was talking with me answered, "I will show you what they are."

Then the man standing among the myrtle trees explained, "They are the ones the LORD has sent to go throughout the earth."

내가 종 선지자들에게 명한 내 말과 내 전례들이 어찌 네 열조에게 임하지 아니하였느냐 그러므로 그들이 돌쳐 이르기를 만군의 여호와께서 우리 길대로, 우리 행위대로 우리에게 행하시려고 뜻하신 것을 우리에게 행하셨도다 하였다 하셨느니라 하라

다리오왕 이년 십일월 곧 스밧월 이십 사일에 잇도의 손자 베레갸의 아들 선지자 스가랴에게 여호와의 말씀이 임하여 이르시니라

내가 밤에 보니 사람이 홍마를 타고 골짜기 속 화석류나무 사이에 섰고 그 뒤에는 홍마와 자마와 백마가 있기로

내가 가로되 내 주여 이들이 무엇이니이까 내게 말하는 천사가 내게 이르되 이들이 무엇인지 내가 네게 보이리라 하매

화석류나무 사이에 선 자가 대답하여 가로되 이는 여호와께서 땅에 두루 다니라고 보내신 자들이니라

And they reported to the angel of the LORD, who was standing among the myrtle trees, "We have gone throughout the earth and found the whole world at rest and in peace."

Then the angel of the LORD said, "LORD Almighty, how long will you withhold mercy from Jerusalem and from the towns of Judah, which you have been angry with these seventy years?"

So the LORD spoke kind and comforting words to the angel who talked with me.

Then the angel who was speaking to me said, "Proclaim this word: This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'I am very jealous for Jerusalem and Zion,

but I am very angry with the nations that feel secure. I was only a little angry, but they added to the calamity.'

그들이 화석류나무 사이에 선 여호와의 사자에게 고하되 우리가 땅에 두루 다녀보니 온 땅이 평안하여 정온하더이다

여호와의 사자가 응하여 가로되 만군의 여호와여 여호와께서 언제까지 예루살렘과 유다 성읍들을 긍휼히 여기지 아니하시려나이까 이를 노하신지 칠십년이 되었나이다 하매

여호와께서 내게 말하는 천사에게 선한 말씀, 위로하는 말씀으로 대답하시더라

내게 말하는 천사가 내게 이르되 너는 외쳐 이르기를 만군의 여호와의 말씀에 내가 예루살렘을 위하며 시온을 위하여 크게 질투하며

안일한 열국을 심히 진노하나니 나는 조금만 노하였거늘 그들은 힘을 내어 고난을 더하였음이라

"Therefore, this is what the LORD says: 'I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt. And the measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem,' declares the LORD Almighty.

"Proclaim further: This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'My towns will again overflow with prosperity, and the LORD will again comfort Zion and choose Jerusalem.' "

Then I looked up--and there before me were four horns!

I asked the angel who was speaking to me, "What are these?" He answered me, "These are the horns that scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem."

Then the LORD showed me four craftsmen.

그러므로 여호와가 이처럼 말하노라 내가 긍휼히 여기므로 예루살렘에 돌아왔은즉 내 집이 그 가운데 건축되리니 예루살렘 위에 먹줄이 치어지리라 나 만군의 여호와의 말이니라 하셨다 하라

다시 외쳐 이르기를 만군의 여호와의 말씀에 나의 성읍들이 넘치도록 다시 풍부할 것이라 여호와가 다시 시온을 안위하며 다시 예루살렘을 택하리라 하셨다 하라

내가 눈을 들어 본즉 네 뿔이 보이기로

이에 내게 말하는 천사에게 묻되 이들이 무엇이니이까 내게 대답하되 이들은 유다와 이스라엘과 예루살렘을 헤친 뿔이니라

때에 여호와께서 공장 네 명을 내게 보이시기로

I asked, "What are these coming to do?" He answered, "These are the horns that scattered Judah so that no one could raise his head, but the craftsmen have come to terrify them and throw down these horns of the nations who lifted up their horns against the land of Judah to scatter its people."

내가 가로되 그들이 무엇하러 왔나이까 하매 대답하여 가라사대 그 뿔들이 유다를 헤쳐서 사람으로 능히 머리를 들지 못하게 하매 이 공장들이 와서 그것들을 두렵게 하고 이전에 뿔들을 들어 유다 땅을 헤친 열국의 뿔을 떨어치려 하느니라 하시더라

Then I looked up--and there before me was a man with a measuring line in his hand!

I asked, "Where are you going?" He answered me, "To measure Jerusalem, to find out how wide and how long it is."

Then the angel who was speaking to me left, and another angel came to meet him

and said to him: "Run, tell that young man, 'Jerusalem will be a city without walls because of the great number of men and livestock in it.

And I myself will be a wall of fire around it,' declares the LORD, 'and I will be its glory within.'

내가 또 눈을 들어 본즉 한 사람이 척량 줄을 그 손에 잡았기로

네가 어디로 가느냐 물은즉 내게 대답하되 예루살렘을 척량하여 그 장광을 보고자 하노라 할 때에

내게 말하는 천사가 나가매 다른 천사가 나와서 그를 맞으며

이르되 너는 달려가서 그 소년에게 고하여 이르기를 예루살렘에 사람이 거하리니 그 가운데 사람과 육축이 많으므로 그것이 성곽 없는 촌락과 같으리라

여호와의 말씀에 내가 그 사면에서 불 성곽이 되며 그 가운데서 영광이 되리라

"Come! Come! Flee from the land of the north," declares the LORD, "for I have scattered you to the four winds of heaven," declares the LORD.

"Come, O Zion! Escape, you who live in the Daughter of Babylon!"

For this is what the LORD Almighty says: "After he has honored me and has sent me against the nations that have plundered you--for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye-

I will surely raise my hand against them so that their slaves will plunder them. Then you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me.

"Shout and be glad, O Daughter of Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you," declares the LORD.

여호와의 말씀에 내가 너를 하늘의 사방 바람 같이 흩어지게 하였거니와 이제 너희는 북방 땅에서 도망할찌니라 나 여호와의 말이니라

바벨론 성에 거하는 시온아 이제 너는 피할찌니라

만군의 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 너희를 노략한 열국으로 영광을 위하여 나를 보내셨나니 무릇 너희를 범하는 자는 그의 눈동자를 범하는 것이라

내가 손을 그들 위에 움직인즉 그들이 자기를 섬기던 자에게 노략거리가 되리라 하셨나니 너희가 만군의 여호와께서 나를 보내신줄 알리라

여호와의 말씀에 시온의 딸아 노래하고 기뻐하라 이는 내가 임하여 네 가운데 거할 것임이니라

"Many nations will be joined with the LORD in that day and will become my people. I will live among you and you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you.

The LORD will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land and will again choose Jerusalem.

Be still before the LORD, all mankind, because he has roused himself from his holy dwelling."

그 날에 많은 나라가 여호와께 속하여 내 백성이 될 것이요 나는 네 가운데 거하리라 네가 만군의 여호와께서 나를 네게 보내신줄 알리라

여호와께서 장차 유다를 취하여 거룩한 땅에서 자기 소유를 삼으시고 다시 예루살렘을 택하시리니

무릇 혈기 있는 자들이 여호와 앞에서 잠잠할 것은 여호와께서 그 성소에서 일어나심이니라 하라 하더라

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right side to accuse him.

The LORD said to Satan, "The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?"

Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel.

The angel said to those who were standing before him, "Take off his filthy clothes." Then he said to Joshua, "See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put rich garments on you."

Then I said, "Put a clean turban on his head." So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him, while the angel of the LORD stood by.

대제사장 여호수아는 여호와의 사자 앞에 섰고 사단은 그의 우편에 서서 그를 대적하는 것을 여호와께서 내게 보이시니라

여호와께서 사단에게 이르시되 사단아 여호와가 너를 책망하노라 예루살렘을 택한 여호와가 너를 책망하노라 이는 불에서 꺼낸 그슬린 나무가 아니냐 하실 때에

여호수아가 더러운 옷을 입고 천사 앞에 섰는지라

여호와께서 자기 앞에 선 자들에게 명하사 그 더러운 옷을 벗기라 하시고 또 여호수아에게 이르시되 내가 네 죄과를 제하여 버렸으니 네게 아름다운 옷을 입히리라 하시기로

내가 말하되 정한 관을 그 머리에 씌우소서 하매 곧 정한 관을 그 머리에 씌우며 옷을 입히고 여호와의 사자는 곁에 섰더라

The angel of the LORD gave this charge to Joshua:

"This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'If you will walk in my ways and keep my requirements, then you will govern my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here.

" 'Listen, O high priest Joshua and your associates seated before you, who are men symbolic of things to come: I am going to bring my servant, the Branch.

See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua! There are seven eyes on that one stone, and I will engrave an inscription on it,' says the LORD Almighty, 'and I will remove the sin of this land in a single day.

" 'In that day each of you will invite his neighbor to sit under his vine and fig tree,' declares the LORD Almighty."

여호와의 사자가 여호수아에게 증거하여 가로되

만군의 여호와의 말씀에 네가 만일 내 도를 준행하며 내 율례를 지키면 네가 내 집을 다스릴 것이요 내 뜰을 지킬 것이며 내가 또 너로 여기 섰는 자들 중에 왕래케 하리라

대제사장 여호수아야 너와 네 앞에 앉은 네 동료들은 내 말을 들을 것이니라 이들은 예표의 사람이라 내가 내 종 순을 나게 하리라

만군의 여호와가 말하노라 내가 너 여호수아 앞에 세운 돌을 보라 한 돌에 일곱 눈이 있느니라 내가 새길 것을 새기며 이 땅의 죄악을 하루에 제하리라

만군의 여호와가 말하노라 그 날에 너희가 각각 포도나무와 무화과나무 아래로 서로 초대하리라 하셨느니라
