창세기 36:1-36:43

 에서의 족보가 소개되고 있다. 에서는 가나안 여인들을 아내로 맞이하여 자녀들을 얻고 세일 산을 중심으로 번성했다.
  
  에서의 후손(36:1-36:43)    
 
  1. This is the account of Esau (that is, Edom).
  2. Esau took his wives from the women of Canaan: Adah daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah daughter of Anah and granddaughter of Zibeon the Hivite-
  3. also Basemath daughter of Ishmael and sister of Nebaioth.
  4. Adah bore Eliphaz to Esau, Basemath bore Reuel,
  5. and Oholibamah bore Jeush, Jalam and Korah. These were the sons of Esau, who were born to him in Canaan.
  1. 에돔이라고도 불리는 에사오의 계보는 아래와 같다.
  2. 에사오는 아내감을 가나안의 딸들 가운데서 골라 헷족 엘론의 딸 아다와, 호리족 시브온의 손녀이며 아나의 딸인 오홀리바마와,
  3. 이스마엘의 딸이며 느바욧의 누이인 바스맛을 맞아들였다.
  4. 아다는 에사오에게 엘리바즈를, 바스맛은 르우엘을,
  5. 오홀리바마는 여우스와 야을람과 코라를 낳아주었다. 이들은 에사오가 가나안 땅에 있을 때 얻은 아들들이다.
  1. Esau took his wives and sons and daughters and all the members of his household, as well as his livestock and all his other animals and all the goods he had acquired in Canaan, and moved to a land some distance from his brother Jacob.
  2. Their possessions were too great for them to remain together; the land where they were staying could not support them both because of their livestock.
  3. So Esau (that is, Edom) settled in the hill country of Seir.
  4. This is the account of Esau the father of the Edomites in the hill country of Seir.
  5. These are the names of Esau's sons: Eliphaz, the son of Esau's wife Adah, and Reuel, the son of Esau's wife Basemath.
  1. 그 후 에사오는 아내와 아들딸과 자기 집에 딸린 모든 식구들을 거느리고, 가나안 땅에서 얻은 모든 가축과 모든 재물을 포함한 그의 재산을 싣고 아우 야곱을 떠나 세일 땅으로 갔다.
  2. 그들이 모은 재산이 너무 불어나 함께 살기 어렵게 되었던 것이다. 즉, 그들의 가축이 너무 많아져서 그들이 머물러 사는 땅에서 나는 것으로는 둘이 다 살아갈 수가 없었던 것이다.
  3. 이렇게 해서 에사오는 세일 산악 지대에 자리를 잡았는데 이 에사오를 에돔이라고도 한다.
  4. 세일 산악 지대에 사는 에돔의 조상 에사오의 계보는 이러하다.
  5. 이것이 그 아들들의 이름이다. 에사오가 아내 아다에게서 얻은 아들은 엘리바즈이고 아내 바스맛에게서 얻은 아들은 르우엘이다.

  2. Esau's son Eliphaz also had a concubine named Timna, who bore him Amalek. These were grandsons of Esau's wife Adah.
  3. The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah. These were grandsons of Esau's wife Basemath.
  4. The sons of Esau's wife Oholibamah daughter of Anah and granddaughter of Zibeon, whom she bore to Esau: Jeush, Jalam and Korah.
  5. These were the chiefs among Esau's descendants: The sons of Eliphaz the firstborn of Esau: Chiefs Teman, Omar, Zepho, Kenaz,
  1. 엘리바즈는 아들 데만, 오말, 스보, 가아담, 크나즈를 두었다.
  2. 에사오의 아들 엘리바즈에겐 딤나라는 소실이 있었는데 그는 엘리바즈에게 아말렉을 낳아주었다. 이들이 에사오가 아내 아다에게서 얻은 후손들이다.
  3. 르우엘은 아들 나핫, 제라, 삼마, 미짜를 두었다. 이들이 에사오가 아내 바스맛에게서 얻은 후손들이다.
  4. 시브온의 손녀이며 아나의 딸인 오홀리바마가 에사오에게 낳아준 아들은 여우스, 야을람, 코라이다.
  5. 에사오 후손의 추장들은 아래와 같다. 에사오의 맏아들 엘리바즈 후손의 추장으로서는 추장 데만, 추장 오말, 추장 스보, 추장 크나즈,
  1. Korah, Gatam and Amalek. These were the chiefs descended from Eliphaz in Edom; they were grandsons of Adah.
  2. The sons of Esau's son Reuel: Chiefs Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah. These were the chiefs descended from Reuel in Edom; they were grandsons of Esau's wife Basemath.
  3. The sons of Esau's wife Oholibamah: Chiefs Jeush, Jalam and Korah. These were the chiefs descended from Esau's wife Oholibamah daughter of Anah.
  4. These were the sons of Esau (that is, Edom), and these were their chiefs.
  5. These were the sons of Seir the Horite, who were living in the region: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,
  1. 추장 코라, 추장 가아담, 추장 아말렉이 있었다. 이들이 에돔 땅에 퍼진 엘리바즈파의 추장들인데 그들은 아다의 피를 받은 후손들이다.
  2. 에사오의 아들 르우엘 후손의 추장으로서는 추장 나핫, 추장 제라, 추장 삼마, 추장 미짜가 있었다. 이들이 에돔 땅에 퍼진 르우엘파 추장들인데, 그들은 에사오의 아내 바스맛의 피를 받은 후손들이다.
  3. 에사오의 아내 오홀리바마 후손의 추장으로서는 추장 여우스, 추장 야을람, 추장 코라가 있었다. 이들이 아나의 딸로서 에사오의 아내가 된 오홀리바마의 피를 받은 추장들이다.

  1. Dishon, Ezer and Dishan. These sons of Seir in Edom were Horite chiefs.

  3. The sons of Shobal: Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho and Onam.
  4. The sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah. This is the Anah who discovered the hot springs in the desert while he was grazing the donkeys of his father Zibeon.
  5. The children of Anah: Dishon and Oholibamah daughter of Anah.
  1. 디손, 에제르, 디산이다. 이들이 에돔 땅에 사는 세일의 아들로서 호리족의 추장을 지낸 사람들이다.
  2. 로탄은 아들 호리와 헤맘을 두었다. 그런데 바로 이 로탄의 누이가 딤나이다.
  3. 소발은 아들 알완, 마나핫, 에발, 스보, 오남을 두었다.
  4. 시브온에겐 아들 아야와 아나가 있었는데 아나는 아버지의 나귀를 치다가 들판에서 온천을 발견한 바로 그 사람이다.
  5. 아나는 아들 디손과 딸 오홀리바마를 두었다.
  1. The sons of Dishon : Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran and Keran.
  2. The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan and Akan.
  3. The sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
  4. These were the Horite chiefs: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,
  5. Dishon, Ezer and Dishan. These were the Horite chiefs, according to their divisions, in the land of Seir.
  1. 디손은 아들 헴단, 에스반, 이드란, 그란을 두었다.
  2. 에제르에게는 아들 빌한, 자완, 아칸이 있었다.
  3. 디산에게는 아들 우스와 아란이 있었다.
  4. 호리족의 추장을 지낸 사람으로서는 추장 로탄, 추장 소발, 추장 시브온, 추장 아나,
  5. 추장 디손, 추장 에제르, 추장 디산이 있었다. 이들이 세일 땅에 살던 호리족의 부족별 추장들이다.
  1. These were the kings who reigned in Edom before any Israelite king reigned :
  2. Bela son of Beor became king of Edom. His city was named Dinhabah.
  3. When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah succeeded him as king.
  4. When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites succeeded him as king.
  5. When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, succeeded him as king. His city was named Avith.
  1. 이스라엘 백성을 다스릴 왕이 아직 일어나기 전에 에돔에는 이미 그 땅을 다스리는 왕들이 있었는데 그 이름은 아래와 같다.
  2. 브올의 아들 벨라가 에돔에서 왕노릇 하였는데 그의 수도 이름은 딘하바였다.
  3. 벨라가 죽자 보스라 출신 제라의 아들 요밥이 뒤를 이어 왕이 되었다.
  4. 요밥이 죽자 데만 출신 후삼이 뒤를 이어 왕이 되었다.
  5. 후삼이 죽자 브닷의 아들 하닷이 뒤를 이어 왕이 되었다. 하닷은 미디안을 모압 벌에서 무찌른 왕인데 그의 수도는 아윗이었다.
  1. When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah succeeded him as king.
  2. When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth on the river succeeded him as king.
  3. When Shaul died, Baal-Hanan son of Acbor succeeded him as king.
  4. When Baal-Hanan son of Acbor died, Hadad succeeded him as king. His city was named Pau, and his wife's name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-Zahab.
  5. These were the chiefs descended from Esau, by name, according to their clans and regions: Timna, Alvah, Jetheth,
  1. 하닷이 죽자 마스레카 출신 사믈라가 뒤를 이어 왕이 되었다.
  2. 사믈라가 죽자 유프라테스 강 가 르호봇 출신 사울이 뒤를 이어 왕이 되었다.
  3. 사울이 죽자 악볼의 아들 바알하난이 뒤를 이어 왕이 되었다.
  4. 악볼의 아들 바알하난이 죽자 하닷이 뒤를 이어 왕이 되었다. 그의 수도 이름은 바우였고 아내 이름은 므헤타브엘이었는데 메자합의 손녀이자 마드렛의 딸이었다.
  5. 에사오에게서 퍼져 나간 추장들의 씨족별, 지역별 명단은 아래와 같다. 추장 딤나, 추장 알와, 추장 여뎃,
  1. Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon,
  2. Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,
  3. Magdiel and Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom, according to their settlements in the land they occupied. This was Esau the father of the Edomites.
  1. 추장 오홀리바마, 추장 엘라, 추장 비논,
  2. 추장 크나즈, 추장 데만, 추장 밉살,
  3. 추장 막디엘, 추장 이람. 이들이 에사오를 조상으로 하는 에돔 사람들의 추장들인데, 그들은 각기 상속받은 땅에서 따로따로 자리를 잡고 살았다.
