마태복음 14:13-14:36

 예수님께서는 오병 이어로 여자와 아이 외에 오천 명을 먹이는 기적과 바다 위를 걷는 초자연적 이적을 행하심으로써 하나님의 아들이심을 나타내셨다.
  
  오병 이어의 기적(14:13-14:21)    
 
  1. When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns.
  2. When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.
  3. As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, "This is a remote place, and it's already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food."
  4. Jesus replied, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat."
  5. "We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish," they answered.
  1. 예수께서 이 말을 들으시고 거기를 떠나 배를 타고 따로 한적한 곳으로 가셨다. 그러나 여러 동네에서 사람들이 이 소문을 듣고 육로로 따라왔다.
  2. 예수께서 배에서 내려 거기 모여든 많은 군중을 보시자 측은한 마음이 들어 그들이 데리고 온 병자들을 고쳐주셨다.
  3. 저녁때가 되자 제자들이 예수께 와서 "여기는 외딴 곳이고 시간도 이미 늦었습니다. 그러니 군중들을 헤쳐 제각기 음식을 사먹도록 마을로 보내시는 것이 좋겠습니다." 하고 말하였다.
  4. 그러나 예수께서는 "그들을 보낼 것 없이 너희가 먹을 것을 주어라." 하고 이르셨다.
  5. 제자들이 "우리에게 지금 있는 것이라고는 빵 다섯 개와 물고기 두 마리뿐입니다." 하고 말하자
  1. "Bring them here to me," he said.
  2. And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.
  3. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
  4. The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.
  1. 예수께서는 "그것을 이리 가져오너라." 하시고는
  2. 군중을 풀 위에 앉게 하셨다. 그리고 빵 다섯 개와 물고기 두 마리를 손에 들고 하늘을 우러러 감사의 기도를 드리신 다음, 빵을 떼어 제자들에게 주셨다. 제자들은 그것을 사람들에게 나누어주었다.
  3. 사람들은 모두 배불리 먹었다. 그리고 남은 조각을 주워 모으니 열두 광주리에 가득 찼다.
  4. 먹은 사람은 여자와 어린이들 외에 남자만도 오천 명 가량 되었다.
 
  물 위를 걸으신 예수님(14:22-14:36)    
 
  1. Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd.
  2. After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone,
  3. but the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.
  4. During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.
  5. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear.
  1. 예수께서 곧 제자들을 재촉하여 배를 태워 건너편으로 먼저 가게 하시고 그 동안에 군중을 돌려보내셨다.
  2. 군중을 보내신 뒤에 조용히 기도하시려고 산으로 올라가셔서 날이 이미 저물었는데도 거기에 혼자 계셨다.
  3. 그 동안에 배는 육지에서 멀리 떨어져 있었는데 역풍을 만나 풍랑에 시달리고 있었다.
  4. 새벽 네 시쯤 되어 예수께서 물 위를 걸어서 제자들에게 오셨다.
  5. 예수께서 물 위를 걸어오시는 것을 본 제자들은 겁에 질려 엉겁결에 "유령이다!" 하며 소리를 질렀다.
  1. But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."
  2. "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water."
  3. "Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
  4. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!"
  5. Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"
  1. 예수께서 제자들을 향하여 "나다, 안심하여라. 겁낼 것 없다." 하고 말씀하셨다.
  2. 베드로가 예수께 "주님이십니까? 그러시다면 저더러 물 위로 걸어오라고 하십시오." 하고 소리쳤다.
  3. 예수께서 "오너라." 하시자 베드로는 배에서 내려 물 위를 밟고 그에게로 걸어갔다.
  4. 그러다가 거센 바람을 보자 그만 무서운 생각이 들어 물에 빠져들게 되었다. 그는 "주님, 살려주십시오!" 하고 비명을 질렀다.
  5. 예수께서 곧 손을 내밀어 그를 붙잡으시며 "왜 의심을 품었느냐? 그렇게도 믿음이 약하냐?" 하고 말씀하셨다.
  1. And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.
  2. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."
  3. When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret.
  4. And when the men of that place recognized Jesus, they sent word to all the surrounding country. People brought all their sick to him
  5. and begged him to let the sick just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched him were healed.
  1. 그리고 함께 배에 오르시자 바람이 그쳤다.
  2. 배 안에 있던 사람들이 그 앞에 엎드려 절하며 "주님은 참으로 하느님의 아들이십니다." 하고 말하였다.
  3. 그들이 바다를 건너 겐네사렛 땅에 이르렀을 때에
  4. 그 곳 사람들이 예수를 알아보고 그 부근 지방에 두루 사람을 보내어 온갖 병자들을 다 데려왔다.
  5. 그리고 그들은 병자들이 예수의 옷자락만이라도 만지게 해달라고 청하였다. 만진 사람은 모두 깨끗이 나았다.
