레위기 11:1-12:8

 야웨께서는 백성들이 먹을 수 있는 정한 음식으로, 굽이 갈라져 쪽발이 되고 새김질하는 짐승, 지느러미와 비늘이 있는 어류, 정한 조류와 날개 있고 네 발로 기어 다니되 뛰는 다리가 있는 곤충 등을 허락하셨다. 그외 부정한 것들은 먹지도 접촉하지도 않음으로써 성결케 하도록 하셨다. 출산으로 부정케 된 여인이 정결케 되는 방법에 대해서도 말씀하셨다.
  
  정한 짐승과 부정한 짐승(11:1-11:47)    
 
  1. The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
  2. "Say to the Israelites: 'Of all the animals that live on land, these are the ones you may eat:
  3. You may eat any animal that has a split hoof completely divided and that chews the cud.
  4. " 'There are some that only chew the cud or only have a split hoof, but you must not eat them. The camel, though it chews the cud, does not have a split hoof; it is ceremonially unclean for you.
  5. The coney, though it chews the cud, does not have a split hoof; it is unclean for you.
  1. 야훼께서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "너희는 이스라엘 백성에게 일러주어라. '땅 위에 있는 모든 네 발 짐승 가운데서 너희가 먹을 수 있는 동물은 이런 것들이다.
  3. 굽이 두 쪽으로 갈라지고 새김질하는 짐승은 먹을 수 있다.
  4. 새김질하는 짐승이나 굽이 갈라진 짐승이라도 다음과 같은 것은 먹지 못한다. 낙타는 새김질은 하지만 굽이 갈라지지 않았으므로 너희에게 부정한 것이다.
  5. 사반도 새김질은 하지만 굽이 갈라지지 않았으므로 너희에게 부정한 것이다.
  1. The rabbit, though it chews the cud, does not have a split hoof; it is unclean for you.
  2. And the pig, though it has a split hoof completely divided, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you.
  3. You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you.
  4. " 'Of all the creatures living in the water of the seas and the streams, you may eat any that have fins and scales.
  5. But all creatures in the seas or streams that do not have fins and scales--whether among all the swarming things or among all the other living creatures in the water--you are to detest.
  1. 토끼도 새김질은 하지만 굽이 갈라지지 않았으므로 너희에게 부정한 것이다.
  2. 돼지는 굽은 두 쪽으로 갈라졌지만 새김질을 하지 않으므로 너희에게 부정한 것이다.
  3. 이런 동물의 고기는 먹지 못할 뿐 아니라 그 주검에 닿아도 안 된다. 이것들은 너희에게 부정한 것들이다.
  4. 물에 사는 것 가운데 너희가 먹을 수 있는 것은 이런 것들이다. 물에서 사는 것 가운데 지느러미와 비늘이 있는 것은 바다에서 사는 것이든지 개울에서 사는 것이든지 먹을 수 있다.
  5. 그러나 물에서 우글거리며 사는 것 가운데 지느러미와 비늘이 없는 것은 바다에서 사는 것이든지 개울에서 사는 것이든지 너희에게 더러운 것이다.
  1. And since you are to detest them, you must not eat their meat and you must detest their carcasses.
  2. Anything living in the water that does not have fins and scales is to be detestable to you.
  3. " 'These are the birds you are to detest and not eat because they are detestable: the eagle, the vulture, the black vulture,
  4. the red kite, any kind of black kite,
  5. any kind of raven,
  1. 이런 것들은 너희에게 더러운 것들이다. 그 고기를 먹지 마라. 그리고 그 주검을 더러운 것으로 여겨야 한다.
  2. 물에 사는 것 가운데 지느러미와 비늘이 없는 것은 모두 너희에게 더러운 것이다.
  3. 새 가운데 너희가 더러운 것으로 여길 것은 이런 것들이다. 이것들은 더러운 것이니 먹지 말아야 한다. 독수리, 수염수리, 흰꼬리수리,
  4. 검은소리개, 각종 붉은소리개,
  5. 각종 까마귀,
  1. the horned owl, the screech owl, the gull, any kind of hawk,
  2. the little owl, the cormorant, the great owl,
  3. the white owl, the desert owl, the osprey,
  4. the stork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe and the bat.
  5. " 'All flying insects that walk on all fours are to be detestable to you.
  1. 타조, 올빼미, 갈매기, 각종 매,
  2. 부엉이, 사다새, 따오기,
  3. 백조, 펠리컨, 흰물오리,
  4. 고니, 각종 푸른해오라기, 오디새, 박쥐 등.
  5. 네 발로 걸으며 날개가 돋은 곤충은 다 너희에게 더러운 것이다.
  1. There are, however, some winged creatures that walk on all fours that you may eat: those that have jointed legs for hopping on the ground.
  2. Of these you may eat any kind of locust, katydid, cricket or grasshopper.
  3. But all other winged creatures that have four legs you are to detest.
  4. " 'You will make yourselves unclean by these; whoever touches their carcasses will be unclean till evening.
  5. Whoever picks up one of their carcasses must wash his clothes, and he will be unclean till evening.
  1. 그러나 네 발로 걸으며 날개가 돋은 곤충 가운데서도 발뿐 아니라 다리도 있어서 땅에서 뛰어 오를 수 있는 것들은 먹을 수 있다.
  2. 그러니 곤충 가운데서 너희가 먹을 수 있는 것은 각종 메뚜기, 각종 방아깨비, 각종 누리, 각종 귀뚜라미이다.
  3. 네 발로 걸으며 날개가 돋은 곤충은 다 너희에게 더러운 것이다.
  4. 이런 것들이 너희를 부정타게 한다. 이런 것들의 주검에 닿은 사람은 저녁때까지 부정하다.
  5. 이런 것들의 주검을 가지고 다니는 사람은 옷을 빨아 입어야 한다. 그는 저녁때까지 부정하다.
  1. " 'Every animal that has a split hoof not completely divided or that does not chew the cud is unclean for you; whoever touches the carcass of any of them will be unclean.
  2. Of all the animals that walk on all fours, those that walk on their paws are unclean for you; whoever touches their carcasses will be unclean till evening.
  3. Anyone who picks up their carcasses must wash his clothes, and he will be unclean till evening. They are unclean for you.
  4. " 'Of the animals that move about on the ground, these are unclean for you: the weasel, the rat, any kind of great lizard,
  5. the gecko, the monitor lizard, the wall lizard, the skink and the chameleon.
  1. 짐승 가운데 굽이 있어도 갈라지지 아니하고, 새김질하지 않는 것은 너희에게 부정한 것이다. 누구든지 그것에 닿으면 부정하게 된다.
  2. 네 발로 걷는 동물들 중 발바닥으로 걸어 다니는 것은 모두 너희에게 부정한 것이다. 누구든지 그 주검에 닿으면 저녁때까지 부정하다.
  3. 그 주검을 가지고 다닌 사람은 옷을 빨아 입어야 한다. 그는 저녁때까지 부정하다. 이런 것들이 너희를 부정타게 한다.
  4. 땅을 기어 다니는 길짐승 가운데서 너희에게 부정한 것은 두더지, 쥐, 각종 큰도마뱀,
  5. 수궁, 육지악어, 도마뱀, 모래도마뱀, 카멜레온 등이다.
  1. Of all those that move along the ground, these are unclean for you. Whoever touches them when they are dead will be unclean till evening.
  2. When one of them dies and falls on something, that article, whatever its use, will be unclean, whether it is made of wood, cloth, hide or sackcloth. Put it in water; it will be unclean till evening, and then it will be clean.
  3. If one of them falls into a clay pot, everything in it will be unclean, and you must break the pot.
  4. Any food that could be eaten but has water on it from such a pot is unclean, and any liquid that could be drunk from it is unclean.
  5. Anything that one of their carcasses falls on becomes unclean; an oven or cooking pot must be broken up. They are unclean, and you are to regard them as unclean.
  1. 모든 길짐승 가운데서 이런 것들은 너희에게 부정한 것이다. 누구든지 그 주검에 닿으면 그 사람은 저녁때까지 부정하다.
  2. 무엇이든지 그 주검 위에 떨어지면, 나무그릇이든, 옷이든, 가죽이든, 자루든, 사람이 쓰는 모든 물건은 부정을 탄다. 이렇게 부정을 탄 것은 물에 담가야 한다. 이런 것은 저녁때까지는 부정하지만 그 뒤에는 정하다.
  3. 이런 것들이 오지그릇에 빠지면, 그 속에 있던 것은 다 부정해진다. 너희는 그 그릇들을 깨뜨려버려야 한다.
  4. 그 안에 있는 물에 젖은 모든 양식은 부정하다. 어떤 그릇에 담겼든지 마실 것은 다 부정하다.
  5. 이런 것들의 주검이 그 위에 떨어지면 모든 것이 부정을 탄다. 가마든지 화로든지 부정을 탄 것은 부숴야 한다. 그런 것은 너희에게 부정하다.
  1. A spring, however, or a cistern for collecting water remains clean, but anyone who touches one of these carcasses is unclean.
  2. If a carcass falls on any seeds that are to be planted, they remain clean.
  3. But if water has been put on the seed and a carcass falls on it, it is unclean for you.
  4. " 'If an animal that you are allowed to eat dies, anyone who touches the carcass will be unclean till evening.
  5. Anyone who eats some of the carcass must wash his clothes, and he will be unclean till evening. Anyone who picks up the carcass must wash his clothes, and he will be unclean till evening.
  1. 샘과 물웅덩이와 물이 괸 곳만은 부정을 타지 않지만 누구나 이런 주검에 닿으면 부정을 탄다.
  2. 파종할 씨에 이런 것들의 주검이 떨어져도, 그 씨는 부정을 타지 않는다.
  3. 낟알이 물에 젖었을 때에 그 위에 이런 것들의 주검이 떨어지면, 그 낟알은 너희에게 부정한 것이 된다.
  4. 너희가 먹을 수 있는 짐승이 죽었을 경우에도 그 주검에 닿은 사람은 저녁때까지 부정하다.
  5. 그 죽은 고기를 먹은 사람은 옷을 빨아 입어야 한다. 그는 저녁때까지 부정하다. 그 주검을 가져다 치운 사람도 옷을 빨아 입어야 한다. 그도 저녁때까지 부정하다.
  1. " 'Every creature that moves about on the ground is detestable; it is not to be eaten.
  2. You are not to eat any creature that moves about on the ground, whether it moves on its belly or walks on all fours or on many feet; it is detestable.
  3. Do not defile yourselves by any of these creatures. Do not make yourselves unclean by means of them or be made unclean by them.
  4. I am the LORD your God; consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am holy. Do not make yourselves unclean by any creature that moves about on the ground.
  5. I am the LORD who brought you up out of Egypt to be your God; therefore be holy, because I am holy.
  1. 땅 위를 기어 다니는 길짐승은 모두 더러운 것이니 먹지 마라.
  2. 배로 기어 다니든, 발이 넷이든, 그보다 더 많든 간에 땅 위를 기어 다니는 모든 길짐승은 먹지 못한다. 이런 것은 모두 더러운 것이다.
  3. 기어 다니는 길짐승에 닿아 너희 몸을 더럽혀서는 안 된다. 이런 것에 닿아 부정을 타서 너희 몸이 부정하게 되어서는 안 된다.
  4. 나 야훼가 너희 하느님이다. 내가 거룩하니 너희도 스스로 거룩하게 행동하여 거룩한 사람이 되어야 한다. 너희는 땅 위를 기어 다니는 길짐승에 닿아 부정하게 되어서는 안 된다.
  5. 나 야훼가 너희 하느님이 되려고 너희를 이집트 땅에서 올라오게 한 이다. 내가 거룩하니, 너희도 거룩하여야 한다.
  1. " 'These are the regulations concerning animals, birds, every living thing that moves in the water and every creature that moves about on the ground.
  2. You must distinguish between the unclean and the clean, between living creatures that may be eaten and those that may not be eaten.' "
  1. 이것이 짐승과 새와 물에서 우글거리며 사는 모든 동물과 땅 위를 기어 다니는 모든 동물에 관한 규정이다.
  2. 이 규정으로 정한 것과 부정한 것이 구별되고, 먹을 수 있는 동물과 먹을 수 없는 동물이 구별된다.'"
 
  산모의 정결 의식(12:1-12:8)    
 
  1. The LORD said to Moses,
  2. "Say to the Israelites: 'A woman who becomes pregnant and gives birth to a son will be ceremonially unclean for seven days, just as she is unclean during her monthly period.
  3. On the eighth day the boy is to be circumcised.
  4. Then the woman must wait thirty-three days to be purified from her bleeding. She must not touch anything sacred or go to the sanctuary until the days of her purification are over.
  5. If she gives birth to a daughter, for two weeks the woman will be unclean, as during her period. Then she must wait sixty-six days to be purified from her bleeding.
  1. 야훼께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "너는 이스라엘 백성에게 일러라. '여자가 아기를 배어 사내아이를 낳았을 경우에는 한 주간, 월경하는 동안 부정하듯이 부정하다.
  3. 팔 일째 되는 날에는 아기의 포경을 잘라 할례를 베풀어야 한다.
  4. 그리고 여인은 삼십 일하고 삼 일간, 피로 더러워진 몸이 깨끗이 되기까지 집에 있어야 한다. 거룩한 물건에 결코 닿으면 안 된다. 기간이 차서 몸이 깨끗하게 되기까지 성소에 들어가지도 못한다.
  5. 계집아이를 낳았을 경우에는 두 주간, 월경하는 동안 부정하듯이 부정하다. 그리고 피로 더러워진 몸이 깨끗하게 되기까지 육십육 일간 집에 있어야 한다.
  1. " 'When the days of her purification for a son or daughter are over, she is to bring to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting a year-old lamb for a burnt offering and a young pigeon or a dove for a sin offering.
  2. He shall offer them before the LORD to make atonement for her, and then she will be ceremonially clean from her flow of blood. " 'These are the regulations for the woman who gives birth to a boy or a girl.
  3. If she cannot afford a lamb, she is to bring two doves or two young pigeons, one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering. In this way the priest will make atonement for her, and she will be clean.' "
  1. 기간이 차서 몸이 깨끗하게 되면 아들을 낳았든지 딸을 낳았든지 번제로 드릴 일 년 된 양 한 마리와 속죄제물로 드릴 집비둘기나 산비둘기 한 마리를 만남의 장막 문간으로 가져다가 사제에게 드려야 한다.
  2. 사제는 야훼께 그 제물을 바쳐 그 여인을 깨끗이 해주어야 한다. 그리하면 그 여인은 피를 흘려 탄 부정을 벗게 된다. 이것이 산모가 사내아이를 낳았거나 계집아이를 낳았거나, 몸을 푼 다음에 지킬 규정이다.
  3. 그러나 만일 새끼 양 한 마리도 바칠 힘이 없다면, 집비둘기 두 마리나 산비둘기 두 마리를 구해서, 한 마리는 번제로 드리고 한 마리는 속죄제물로 드려야 한다. 그것으로 사제가 그 여인의 부정을 벗겨주면 그 여인은 깨끗하게 된다.'"
