누가복음 6:39-7:10

 예수님께서는 남을 판단하기보다 자신을 먼저 살필 것을 말씀하시고, 나무는 각각 그 열매로 알 수 있다고 말씀하셨다. 가버나움으로 가신 예수께서는 백부장의 큰 믿음을 보시고 그의 종의 병을 고쳐 주셨다.
  
  참된 지도자(6:39-6:49)    
 
  1. He also told them this parable: "Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?
  2. A student is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.
  3. "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
  4. How can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,' when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
  5. "No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit.
  1. 예수께서는 또 이렇게 비유를 들어 말씀하셨다. "소경이 어떻게 소경의 길잡이가 될 수 있겠느냐? 그러면 둘 다 구덩이에 빠지지 않겠느냐?
  2. 제자가 스승보다 더 높을 수는 없다. 제자는 다 배우고 나도 스승만큼밖에는 되지 못한다.
  3. 너는 형제의 눈 속에 든 티는 보면서도 어째서 제 눈 속에 들어 있는 들보는 깨닫지 못하느냐?
  4. 제 눈 속에 있는 들보도 보지 못하면서 어떻게 형제더러 '네 눈의 티를 빼내 주겠다.' 하겠느냐? 이 위선자야, 먼저 네 눈에서 들보를 빼내어라. 그래야 눈이 잘 보여 형제의 눈 속에 있는 티를 꺼낼 수 있다."
  5. "좋은 나무가 나쁜 열매를 맺을 수 없고 나쁜 나무가 좋은 열매를 맺을 수 없다.
  1. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers.
  2. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.
  3. "Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?
  4. I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice.
  5. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.
  1. 어떤 나무든지 열매를 보면 그 나무를 알 수 있다. 가시나무에서 무화과를 딸 수 없고 가시덤불에서 포도를 딸 수 없다.
  2. 선한 사람은 선한 마음의 창고에서 선한 것을 내놓고 악한 사람은 그 악한 창고에서 악한 것을 내놓는다. 마음속에 가득 찬 것이 입 밖으로 나오게 마련이다."
  3. "너희는 나에게 '주님, 주님!' 하면서 어찌하여 내 말을 실행하지 않느냐?
  4. 나에게 와서 내 말을 듣고 실행하는 사람이 어떤 사람인지 가르쳐주겠다.
  5. 그 사람은 땅을 깊이 파고 반석 위에 기초를 놓고 집을 짓는 사람과 같다. 홍수가 나서 큰 물이 집으로 들이치더라도 그 집은 튼튼하게 지었기 때문에 조금도 흔들리지 않는다.
  1. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete."
  1. 그러나 내 말을 듣고도 실행하지 않는 사람은 기초 없이 맨땅에 집을 지은 사람과 같다. 큰물이 들이치면 그 집은 곧 무너져 여지없이 파괴되고 말 것이다."
 
  백부장의 믿음(7:1-7:10)    
 
  1. When Jesus had finished saying all this in the hearing of the people, he entered Capernaum.
  2. There a centurion's servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die.
  3. The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant.
  4. When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, "This man deserves to have you do this,
  5. because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue."
  1. 예수께서는 이 모든 말씀을 사람들에게 들려주신 뒤에 가파르나움으로 가셨다.
  2. 마침 그 때 어떤 백인대장의 종이 중병으로 거의 죽게 되었는데 그는 주인이 대단히 아끼는 종이었다.
  3. 백인대장이 예수의 이야기를 듣고 유다인의 원로 몇 사람을 예수께 보내어, 집에 오셔서 자기 종을 살려주십사 하고 간청하게 하였다.
  4. 그래서 그들은 예수께 와서 간곡히 부탁 드리기를 "그 백인대장은 도와주실 만한 사람입니다.
  5. 그는 우리 민족을 사랑할 뿐만 아니라 우리에게 회당까지 지어주었습니다." 하였다.
  1. So Jesus went with them. He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: "Lord, don't trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof.
  2. That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed.
  3. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and that one, 'Come,' and he comes. I say to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."
  4. When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, "I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel."
  5. Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well.
  1. 이 말을 들으시고 예수께서는 그들과 함께 가셨다. 백인대장의 집에서 그리 멀지 않은 곳에 이르렀을 때에 백인대장은 친구들을 시켜 예수께 전갈을 보냈다. "주님, 수고롭게 오실 것까지 없습니다. 저는 주님을 제 집에 모실 만한 사람이 못 되며
  2. 감히 주님을 나가 뵐 생각을 못하고 있습니다. 그저 한 말씀만 하십시오. 그러면 제 종이 낫겠습니다.
  3. 저도 남의 밑에 있는 사람입니다만 제 밑에도 부하들이 있어서 제가 이 사람더러 가라 하면 가고 또 저 사람더러 오라 하면 옵니다. 또 제 종에게 이것을 하라 하면 합니다."
  4. 예수께서 이 말을 들으시고 감탄하시며 따라오는 군중을 돌아다 보시고 "잘 들어두어라. 나는 이런 믿음을 이스라엘 사람에게서도 본 일이 없다." 하고 말씀하셨다.
  5. 심부름 왔던 사람들이 집에 돌아가 보니 종은 이미 깨끗이 나아 있었다.
