신명기 26:12-28:14

 모세는 하나님께 드려진 성물을 레위인과 객과 고아와 과부에게 주어 배불리 먹게 한 후 하나님께 기도하면서 그들에게 주어진 모든 것이 하나님에 의한 것임을 고백하게 했다. 그는 자신의 두번째 설교를 통하여 백성들에게 율법의 자세한 내용을 말한 후, 가나안에 들어간 뒤에 에발 산에 돌비들을 세우고 석회를 바른 다음 그 위에 율법을 기록할 것을 명령했다.
  
  십일조 규례(26:12-26:19)    
 
  1. When you have finished setting aside a tenth of all your produce in the third year, the year of the tithe, you shall give it to the Levite, the alien, the fatherless and the widow, so that they may eat in your towns and be satisfied.
  2. Then say to the LORD your God: "I have removed from my house the sacred portion and have given it to the Levite, the alien, the fatherless and the widow, according to all you commanded. I have not turned aside from your commands nor have I forgotten any of them.
  3. I have not eaten any of the sacred portion while I was in mourning, nor have I removed any of it while I was unclean, nor have I offered any of it to the dead. I have obeyed the LORD my God; I have done everything you commanded me.
  4. Look down from heaven, your holy dwelling place, and bless your people Israel and the land you have given us as you promised on oath to our forefathers, a land flowing with milk and honey."
  5. The LORD your God commands you this day to follow these decrees and laws; carefully observe them with all your heart and with all your soul.
  1. 삼 년째 되는 해 곧 십일조를 바치는 해가 되면, 네 모든 소출에서 열의 하나를 떼내어 레위인과 떠돌이와 고아와 과부에게 나누어주고 그것을 너희 성 안에서 실컷 먹게 하여라.
  2. 그리고는 너희 하느님 야훼 앞에 아뢰어라. '주께서 분부하신 대로 거룩한 것을 집에서 모두 퍼내어 레위인과 떠돌이와 고아와 과부에게 나누어주었습니다. 주께서 분부하신 것을 잊지 않고 어김없이 다 행하였습니다.
  3. 저는 상중에 그것을 먹은 일도 없고 부정한 몸으로 먹은 일도 없으며 죽은 혼령에게 바친 일도 없습니다. 저는 저의 하느님 야훼께서 이르신 말씀대로 했습니다. 분부하신 대로 다 행하였습니다.
  4. 주께서 계시는 저 거룩한 곳 하늘에서 굽어보소서. 주의 백성 이스라엘과 우리에게 주신 이 땅에 복을 내려주소서. 우리 선조들에게 맹세하신 대로 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅이 되게 하소서.'
  5. 오늘 너희 하느님 야훼께서는 이 규정과 법규를 지키라고 너희에게 분부하신다. 그러니 너희는 마음을 다 기울이고 목숨을 다 바쳐 이 모든 것을 성심껏 실천해야 한다.
  1. You have declared this day that the LORD is your God and that you will walk in his ways, that you will keep his decrees, commands and laws, and that you will obey him.
  2. And the LORD has declared this day that you are his people, his treasured possession as he promised, and that you are to keep all his commands.
  3. He has declared that he will set you in praise, fame and honor high above all the nations he has made and that you will be a people holy to the LORD your God, as he promised.
  1. 너희는 오늘 야훼께서 하시는 말씀을 들었다. 야훼께서는 너희에게 하느님이 되어주시겠다고 하셨다. 그 대신 너희는 분부받은 그 길을 따라 하느님의 규정과 계명과 법규를 지켜 그의 말씀에 복종해야 한다고 하셨다.
  2. 이에 응답하여 너희는 오늘 야훼께, 말씀대로 하느님께서 소중하게 여기시는 백성이 되어 모든 분부를 지키겠다고 아뢰었다.
  3. 손수 지으신 만백성 위에 높여주시니 찬양과 명성과 영광을 돌리는 백성, 약속대로 너희 하느님 야훼께 성별된 백성이 되겠다고 하였다."
 
  에발 산의 제단(27:1-27:26)    
 
  1. Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people: "Keep all these commands that I give you today.
  2. When you have crossed the Jordan into the land the LORD your God is giving you, set up some large stones and coat them with plaster.
  3. Write on them all the words of this law when you have crossed over to enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, promised you.
  4. And when you have crossed the Jordan, set up these stones on Mount Ebal, as I command you today, and coat them with plaster.
  5. Build there an altar to the LORD your God, an altar of stones. Do not use any iron tool upon them.
  1. 모세는 이스라엘의 장로들을 거느리고 백성에게 이렇게 선포하였다. "오늘 내가 일러주는 모든 계명을 너희는 지켜야 한다.
  2. 요르단을 건너 너희 하느님 야훼께서 주시는 땅에 들어가는 날이 오거든, 너희는 큰 돌들을 세우고 하얗게 회를 발라라. 그리고
  3. 거기에 다음과 같은 법을 한 조목 한 조목 새겨라. 건너가는 길로 바로 그렇게 해야 너희 선조들의 하느님 야훼께서 약속해 주신 대로 너희가 너희 하느님 야훼께서 너희에게 주시는 땅, 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅으로 들어가 살게 될 것이다.
  4. 너희는 요르단을 건너는 길로 곧장 내가 오늘 지시한 대로 돌들을 에발 산에 세우고 하얗게 회를 발라라. 그리고
  5. 그리고 거기에다 너희 하느님 야훼께 제단을 쌓는데 쇠연장으로 다듬지 않은 돌로 제단을 쌓아라.
  1. Build the altar of the LORD your God with fieldstones and offer burnt offerings on it to the LORD your God.
  2. Sacrifice fellowship offerings there, eating them and rejoicing in the presence of the LORD your God.
  3. And you shall write very clearly all the words of this law on these stones you have set up."
  4. Then Moses and the priests, who are Levites, said to all Israel, "Be silent, O Israel, and listen! You have now become the people of the LORD your God.
  5. Obey the LORD your God and follow his commands and decrees that I give you today."
  1. 이렇게 돌들을 생긴 그대로 가져다가 너희 하느님 야훼의 제단을 쌓고 그 위에다 너희 하느님 야훼께 번제를 바쳐야 한다.
  2. 또 친교제물도 잡아 바치고 그 자리에서 먹으면서 너희 하느님 야훼 앞에서 즐겨라."
  3. 거기에 이 법을 한 조목 한 조목 똑똑히 잘 새겨라.
  4. 모세는 레위인 사제들을 거느리고, 온 이스라엘에게 외쳤다. "너 이스라엘아 조용히 들어라. 너희는 오늘 너희 하느님 야훼의 백성이 되었다.
  5. 그런즉 너희는 너희 하느님 야훼의 말씀을 따라 내가 오늘 너희에게 일러주는 그의 계명과 규정을 지켜야 한다."
  1. On the same day Moses commanded the people:
  2. When you have crossed the Jordan, these tribes shall stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph and Benjamin.
  3. And these tribes shall stand on Mount Ebal to pronounce curses: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan and Naphtali.
  4. The Levites shall recite to all the people of Israel in a loud voice:
  5. "Cursed is the man who carves an image or casts an idol--a thing detestable to the LORD, the work of the craftsman's hands--and sets it up in secret." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!"
  1. 같은 날 모세는 백성에게 다음과 같은 명령을 내렸다.
  2. "요르단 강을 건넌 다음에 시므온, 레위, 유다, 이싸갈, 요셉, 베냐민 지파들은 백성에게 복을 달라고 기도하기 위하여 그리짐 산 쪽으로 나서라.
  3. 그리고 르우벤, 가드, 아셀, 즈불룬, 단, 납달리 지파들은 저주를 빌기 위하여 에발 산 쪽으로 나서라.
  4. 그 다음 레위인들은 큰소리로 온 이스라엘 사람에게 외쳐라.
  5. '야훼께서 역겨워하시는 우상을 새기거나 부어 만드는 자, 기술공이 손으로 만든 것을 남몰래 모시는 자에게 저주를!' 하면, 온 백성은 '아멘!' 하고 대답하여라.
  1. "Cursed is the man who dishonors his father or his mother." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!"
  2. "Cursed is the man who moves his neighbor's boundary stone." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!"
  3. "Cursed is the man who leads the blind astray on the road." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!"
  4. "Cursed is the man who withholds justice from the alien, the fatherless or the widow." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!"
  5. "Cursed is the man who sleeps with his father's wife, for he dishonors his father's bed." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!"
  1. '아비나 어미를 업신여기는 자에게 저주를!' 하면, 온 백성은 '아멘!' 하여라.
  2. '이웃집 땅의 경계선을 옮기는 자에게 저주를!' 하면, 온 백성은 '아멘!' 하여라.
  3. '소경을 엉뚱한 길로 이끄는 자에게 저주를!' 하면, 온 백성은 '아멘!' 하여라.
  4. '떠돌이와 고아와 과부의 인권을 짓밟는 자에게 저주를!' 하면, 온 백성은 '아멘!' 하여라.
  5. '아비의 이불 자락을 들치고 아비의 아내와 자는 자에게 저주를!' 하면, 온 백성은 '아멘!' 하여라.
  1. "Cursed is the man who has sexual relations with any animal." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!"
  2. "Cursed is the man who sleeps with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!"
  3. "Cursed is the man who sleeps with his mother-in-law." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!"
  4. "Cursed is the man who kills his neighbor secretly." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!"
  5. "Cursed is the man who accepts a bribe to kill an innocent person." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!"
  1. '어떤 짐승하고나 교접하는 자에게 저주를!' 하면, 온 백성은 '아멘!' 하여라.
  2. '아비의 딸이든 어미의 딸이든 제 누이와 자는 자에게 저주를!' 하면, 온 백성은 '아멘!' 하여라.
  3. '장모와 자는 자에게 저주를!' 하면, 온 백성은 '아멘!' 하여라.
  4. '남몰래 동족을 쳐죽이는 자에게 저주를!' 하면, 온 백성은 '아멘!' 하여라.
  5. '뇌물을 받고 죄없는 사람의 피를 흘리는 자에게 저주를!' 하면, 온 백성은 '아멘!' 하여라.
  1. "Cursed is the man who does not uphold the words of this law by carrying them out." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!"
  1. '이 법을 어느 하나라도 실천하지 않고 짓밟는 자에게 저주를!' 하면, 온 백성은 '아멘!' 하여라.
 
  순종으로 인한 축복(28:1-28:14)    
 
  1. If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.
  2. All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God:
  3. You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.
  4. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock--the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
  5. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.
  1. 그러나 너희가 만일 너희 하느님 야훼께서 하신 말씀을 귀담아들어, 내가 너희에게 내리는 그의 모든 명령을 성심껏 실천하면, 너희 하느님 야훼께서는 땅 위에 사는 만백성 위에 너희를 높여주실 것이다.
  2. 너희 하느님 야훼의 말씀을 순종하기만 하면 다음과 같은 온갖 복이 너희를 사로잡을 것이다.
  3. 너희는 도시에서도 복을 받고 시골에서도 복을 받으리라.
  4. 너희 몸의 소생과 밭의 소출과 소 새끼나 양 새끼 할 것 없이 너희 가축에게서 난 모든 새끼가 복을 받으리라.
  5. 너희 광주리와 반죽 그릇이 복을 받으리라.
  1. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
  2. The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.
  3. The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
  4. The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways.
  5. Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you.
  1. 너희는 들어와도 복을 받고 나가도 복을 받으리라.
  2. 너희에게 달려드는 원수들을 야훼께서 쳐부수어 주실 것이다. 그들은 한 길로 몰려왔다가 일곱 길로 뿔뿔이 도망치리라.
  3. 야훼께서 명령을 내리시면 너희 창고와 너희가 손을 대는 모든 일에 복이 넘치리라. 이렇게 너희 하느님 야훼께서 너희에게 주신 땅에서 너희는 복을 받을 것이다.
  4. 너희 하느님 야훼의 계명을 따라 그가 지시하신 길로만 걸으면, 야훼께서는 너희에게 맹세하신 대로 너희를 성별된 당신의 백성으로 세워주실 것이다.
  5. 야훼의 이름을 받은 백성이라는 것을 알고 땅 위에 사는 모든 백성이 너희를 두려워하게 되리라.
  1. The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity--in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground--in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you.
  2. The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.
  3. The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.
  4. Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.
  1. 야훼께서 너희 선조들에게 맹세하여 너희에게 주겠다 하신 땅에서 너희 몸의 소생과 가축의 새끼와 밭의 소출에 복이 흘러 넘치게 해주실 것이다.
  2. 야훼께서는 당신의 풍성한 보물 창고인 하늘을 여시어 너희 밭에 철 따라 비를 내려주시고 너희가 손으로 하는 모든 일에 복을 주실 것이다. 그리하여 너는 많은 민족에게 꾸어주기는 해도 남에게 꾸어 쓰는 일은 없을 것이다.
  3. 내가 오늘 너희에게 내리는 너희 하느님 야훼의 명령을 들어 성심껏 실천하기만 하면, 야훼께서는 너희를 머리로 삼으면 삼으셨지, 꼬리가 되게 하지는 않으실 것이다. 그리하여 너는 다만 치솟을 뿐 내리밀리는 일은 없을 것이다.
  4. 그러니 너희는 내가 오늘 지시하는 이 모든 말을 어기지 마라. 한걸음도 빗나가는 일 없이, 다른 신들을 따라 그 신들을 섬기지 않도록 해야 한다.
