열왕기하 24:1-25:30

 유다가 바벨론에 대해 반기를 들자 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살은 1,2차에 걸쳐 예루살렘을 침공하여 여호야김과 여호야긴을 포로로 끌고 가고, 시드기야를 왕으로 세웠다. 그러나 시드기야 역시 반바벨론 정책으로 실책과 악정의 전철을 밟았으며, 결국 바벨론의 3차 침공으로 예루살렘은 멸망당하고 말았다. 포로로 끌려간 여호야긴은 37년 만에 석방되어 일평생 왕 앞에서 먹고 살 수 있게 되었다.
  
  유다의 마지막 왕들(24:1-24:20)    
 
  1. During Jehoiakim's reign, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon invaded the land, and Jehoiakim became his vassal for three years. But then he changed his mind and rebelled against Nebuchadnezzar.
  2. The LORD sent Babylonian, Aramean, Moabite and Ammonite raiders against him. He sent them to destroy Judah, in accordance with the word of the LORD proclaimed by his servants the prophets.
  3. Surely these things happened to Judah according to the LORD's command, in order to remove them from his presence because of the sins of Manasseh and all he had done,
  4. including the shedding of innocent blood. For he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and the LORD was not willing to forgive.
  5. As for the other events of Jehoiakim's reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
  1. 여호야킴이 다스리던 때, 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살이 쳐들어와서 여호야킴은 그의 신하가 되었다. 삼 년이 지나서 그는 반기를 들었다.
  2. 야훼께서는 바빌론 침략군과 시리아 침략군과 모압 침략군과 암몬 침략군을 보내어 유다 전국을 짓밟게 하셨다. 야훼께서 당신의 종인 예언자들을 시켜서 예언하신 것이 그대로 이루어진 것이다.
  3. 이런 일이 유다에서 일어난 것은 므나쎄가 온갖 못할 짓을 하는 것을 보시고 야훼께서 유다 백성을 내쫓으시겠다고 하셨는데 그 말씀이 이루어진 것일 따름이다.
  4. 그런데다가 그는 무죄한 피마저 흘려 예루살렘을 피바다로 만들었으므로 야훼께서는 용서하실 마음이 없으셨던 것이다.
  5. 여호야킴의 나머지 사적과 행적은 유다 왕조실록에 기록되어 있다.
  1. Jehoiakim rested with his fathers. And Jehoiachin his son succeeded him as king.
  2. The king of Egypt did not march out from his own country again, because the king of Babylon had taken all his territory, from the Wadi of Egypt to the Euphrates River.
  3. Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. His mother's name was Nehushta daughter of Elnathan; she was from Jerusalem.
  4. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father had done.
  5. At that time the officers of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon advanced on Jerusalem and laid siege to it,
  1. 그가 선조들과 함께 영면하자 그의 아들 여호야긴이 왕위를 계승하였다.
  2. 이집트 왕은 이집트 국경을 흐르는 강에서부터 유프라테스 강에 이르는 땅을 모두 바빌론 왕에게 빼앗기고 다시는 자기 영토에서 밖으로 나오지 못하게 되었다.
  3. 여호야긴은 십팔 세에 왕위에 올라 예루살렘에서 삼 개월간 다스렸다. 그의 어머니는 예루살렘 출신 엘나단의 딸로서 이름을 느후스타라고 하였다.
  4. 여호야긴은 아버지가 그러하였듯이 야훼 보시기에 악한 일을 행하였다.
  5. 그 때에 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살의 부하들이 예루살렘으로 쳐 올라와서 포위하였다.
  1. and Nebuchadnezzar himself came up to the city while his officers were besieging it.
  2. Jehoiachin king of Judah, his mother, his attendants, his nobles and his officials all surrendered to him. In the eighth year of the reign of the king of Babylon, he took Jehoiachin prisoner.
  3. As the LORD had declared, Nebuchadnezzar removed all the treasures from the temple of the LORD and from the royal palace, and took away all the gold articles that Solomon king of Israel had made for the temple of the LORD.
  4. He carried into exile all Jerusalem: all the officers and fighting men, and all the craftsmen and artisans--a total of ten thousand. Only the poorest people of the land were left.
  5. Nebuchadnezzar took Jehoiachin captive to Babylon. He also took from Jerusalem to Babylon the king's mother, his wives, his officials and the leading men of the land.
  1. 이렇게 그의 부하들이 예루살렘을 포위하고 있는 동안 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살이 성을 치러 친히 왔다.
  2. 일이 이쯤 되자 유다 왕 여호야긴은 자기 어머니와 신하들과 장군들과 내시들을 거느리고 바빌론 왕에게로 나아가 사로잡혔다. 때는 바빌론 왕 제팔년이었다.
  3. 야훼께서 말씀하셨던 대로, 바빌론 왕은 야훼의 전과 왕궁에 있는 모든 보화를 털어갔고 이스라엘 왕 솔로몬이 야훼의 전에 만들어두었던 온갖 금기물을 다 부수었다.
  4. 또한 예루살렘 전 시민과 고관들과 군인 일만 명, 그리고 은장이들과 대장장이들을 사로잡아 가고 가난한 지방민만 남겨두었다.
  5. 그는 여호야긴도 그의 어머니와 왕비들과 내시들과 나라의 권력층과 함께 사로잡아 예루살렘에서 바빌론으로 데려갔다.
  1. The king of Babylon also deported to Babylon the entire force of seven thousand fighting men, strong and fit for war, and a thousand craftsmen and artisans.
  2. He made Mattaniah, Jehoiachin's uncle, king in his place and changed his name to Zedekiah.
  3. Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eleven years. His mother's name was Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah; she was from Libnah.
  4. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, just as Jehoiakim had done.
  5. It was because of the LORD's anger that all this happened to Jerusalem and Judah, and in the end he thrust them from his presence. Now Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
  1. 그리고 유력자 칠천 명과 은장이, 대장장이 천 명을 바빌론으로 사로잡아 갔는데 그들은 모두 싸우러 나갈 수 있는 용사들이었다.
  2. 바빌론 왕은 여호야긴의 삼촌인 마따니야를 왕으로 세우고 그의 이름을 시드키야로 바꾸도록 하였다.
  3. 시드키야는 이십일 세 때 왕위에 올라 십일 년간 예루살렘에서 다스렸다. 그의 어머니는 리브나 출신 예레미야의 딸로서 이름을 하무달이라고 하였다.
  4. 시드키야는 여호야킴이 했던 것같이 야훼 보시기에 악한 일을 행하였다.
  5. 예루살렘과 유다는 야훼의 진노를 사 마침내 그 앞에서 쫓겨나고 말았다. 시드키야가 바빌론 왕에게 반기를 들었다.
 
  예루살렘 함락(25:1-25:30)    
 
  1. So in the ninth year of Zedekiah's reign, on the tenth day of the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon marched against Jerusalem with his whole army. He encamped outside the city and built siege works all around it.
  2. The city was kept under siege until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.
  3. By the ninth day of the fourth month the famine in the city had become so severe that there was no food for the people to eat.
  4. Then the city wall was broken through, and the whole army fled at night through the gate between the two walls near the king's garden, though the Babylonians were surrounding the city. They fled toward the Arabah,
  5. but the Babylonian army pursued the king and overtook him in the plains of Jericho. All his soldiers were separated from him and scattered,
  1. 그래서 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살은 시드키야 왕 구년 시월 십일, 전군을 이끌고 예루살렘을 침공하여 성을 포위하고 사면에 토성을 쌓았다.
  2. 이 포위는 시드키야 왕 십일년까지 계속되었다.
  3. 그 해, 성에 기근이 혹심하여 식량이 떨어지자 일반 서민들은 굶주려 죽게 되었는데, 사월 구일에
  4. 드디어 성벽이 뚫렸다. 유다 왕은 이를 보자, 바빌론 군대가 포위하고 있는데도 그의 전 호위병과 함께 밤을 도와 성을 도주하였다. 그들은 왕의 정원 근처에 있는 "두 성벽 사이" 라는 성문으로 빠져 나가 나라바 쪽으로 도망하였다.
  5. 바빌론 군대가 왕을 추적하여 예리고의 들판에서 그를 사로잡자 왕의 군대는 산산이 흩어져 버렸다.
  1. and he was captured. He was taken to the king of Babylon at Riblah, where sentence was pronounced on him.
  2. They killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes. Then they put out his eyes, bound him with bronze shackles and took him to Babylon.
  3. On the seventh day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard, an official of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.
  4. He set fire to the temple of the LORD, the royal palace and all the houses of Jerusalem. Every important building he burned down.
  5. The whole Babylonian army, under the commander of the imperial guard, broke down the walls around Jerusalem.
  1. 바빌론 군대가 왕을 사로잡아 리블라에 있는 바빌론 왕에게 데리고 가자 바빌론 왕이 그를 심문하였다.
  2. 그는 시드키야의 아들들을 그가 보는 데서 살해하고 시드키야의 눈을 뽑은 다음 사슬로 묶어 바빌론으로 끌고 갔다.
  3. 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살 제십구년 오월 칠일, 바빌론 왕의 친위대장 느부사라단이 예루살렘에 들어와
  4. 야훼의 전과 왕궁과 예루살렘 성 안 건물을 모두 불태웠다. 큰 집은 모두 불탔다.
  5. 친위대장을 따르는 바빌론 군인들은 예루살렘을 둘러싸고 있는 성벽을 죄다 허물어버렸다.
  1. Nebuzaradan the commander of the guard carried into exile the people who remained in the city, along with the rest of the populace and those who had gone over to the king of Babylon.
  2. But the commander left behind some of the poorest people of the land to work the vineyards and fields.
  3. The Babylonians broke up the bronze pillars, the movable stands and the bronze Sea that were at the temple of the LORD and they carried the bronze to Babylon.
  4. They also took away the pots, shovels, wick trimmers, dishes and all the bronze articles used in the temple service.
  5. The commander of the imperial guard took away the censers and sprinkling bowls--all that were made of pure gold or silver.
  1. 친위대장 느부사라단은 예루살렘 성에 남은 사람들과 바빌론 왕에게 항복해 온 자, 그리고 기타 남은 백성들을 포로로 데려갔다.
  2. 그는 백성들 중 가장 비천한 층의 사람들만 남겨두어 포도원을 가꾸고 농사를 짓게 하였다.
  3. 바빌론 군대들은 야훼의 전 안에 있는 놋기둥들, 놋받침대, 놋바다 등을 해체하여 그 놋쇠를 바빌론으로 가져가고
  4. 또 주발, 삽, 가위, 받침접시, 그리고 성전 예식에 쓰는 놋집기들을 가지고 갔다.
  5. 친위대장은 또 불 옮기는 그릇들과 주발들, 곧 금으로 만든 모든 것과 은으로 만든 모든 것을 가져갔다.
  1. The bronze from the two pillars, the Sea and the movable stands, which Solomon had made for the temple of the LORD, was more than could be weighed.
  2. Each pillar was twenty-seven feet high. The bronze capital on top of one pillar was four and a half feet high and was decorated with a network and pomegranates of bronze all around. The other pillar, with its network, was similar.
  3. The commander of the guard took as prisoners Seraiah the chief priest, Zephaniah the priest next in rank and the three doorkeepers.
  4. Of those still in the city, he took the officer in charge of the fighting men and five royal advisers. He also took the secretary who was chief officer in charge of conscripting the people of the land and sixty of his men who were found in the city.
  5. Nebuzaradan the commander took them all and brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah.
  1. 두 놋기둥, 놋바다, 받침대 등은 솔로몬이 야훼의 전을 위하여 만든 것인데 그 중량은 이루 측량할 수도 없을 정도였다.
  2. 기둥은 높이가 십팔 척이고 그 꼭대기에는 주위를 그물세공과 석류나무로 장식한 높이 삼 척짜리 놋머리가 얹혀 있었는데 기둥 전체가 청동으로 되어 있었다. 다른 기둥도 그와 똑같았다.
  3. 친위대장은 대사제 스라야와 부사제 스바니야, 그리고 정문 수위 세 명을 체포하였다.
  4. 또 그는 성에서 내시를 체포하였다. 그 내시는 용사들을 통솔하고 있었는데 용사 중 다섯 명은 왕을 수행할 권한을 가진 자로서 성 안에 그대로 남아 있었다. 또 고급 부관도 체포하였는데 그는 전투 요원을 동원하는 직책을 가진 인물이었다. 또 그 때까지 성에 남아 있던 백성들 중에서 육십 명이 체포되었다.
  5. 친위대장 느부사라단은 이들을 모두 리블라에 머무르고 있던 바빌론 왕에게 넘겼다.
  1. There at Riblah, in the land of Hamath, the king had them executed. So Judah went into captivity, away from her land.
  2. Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, to be over the people he had left behind in Judah.
  3. When all the army officers and their men heard that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah as governor, they came to Gedaliah at Mizpah--Ishmael son of Nethaniah, Johanan son of Kareah, Seraiah son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, Jaazaniah the son of the Maacathite, and their men.
  4. Gedaliah took an oath to reassure them and their men. "Do not be afraid of the Babylonian officials," he said. "Settle down in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it will go well with you."
  5. In the seventh month, however, Ishmael son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, who was of royal blood, came with ten men and assassinated Gedaliah and also the men of Judah and the Babylonians who were with him at Mizpah.
  1. 그 곳 하맛의 땅 리블라에서 바빌론 왕은 그들을 처형하였다. 이렇게 유다 백성들은 사로잡혀 고국을 떠나게 되었다.
  2. 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살은 사반의 손자이자 아히캄의 아들인 게달리아를, 자기가 유다에 남긴 소수 백성들을 다스리는 총독으로 임명하였다.
  3. 바빌론 왕이 게달리아를 총독으로 임명하였다는 정보는 곧 군대의 지휘관들과 그 부하들에게 알려졌다. 그들 느다니야의 아들 이스마엘, 카레아의 아들 요하난, 느토바 출신 단후멧의 아들 스라야, 마아가 출신 야자니야 등은 이 소식을 듣고 미스바에 있는 총독에게로 왔다.
  4. 게달리아는 그들과 그들의 부하들에게 맹세코 말하였다. "바빌론 관리들을 두려워하지 마시오. 이 땅에 정착하여 바빌론 왕을 섬기시오. 그렇게 하면 모든 것이 여러분에게 유리할 것이오."
  5. 그러나 칠월에 왕족 엘리사마의 손자이고 느다니야의 아들인 이스마엘이 부하 열 명을 거느리고 와서 게달리아와 그와 함께 미스바에 있던 유다 사람들과 바빌론 사람들을 죽였다.
  1. At this, all the people from the least to the greatest, together with the army officers, fled to Egypt for fear of the Babylonians.
  2. In the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the year Evil-Merodach became king of Babylon, he released Jehoiachin from prison on the twenty-seventh day of the twelfth month.
  3. He spoke kindly to him and gave him a seat of honor higher than those of the other kings who were with him in Babylon.
  4. So Jehoiachin put aside his prison clothes and for the rest of his life ate regularly at the king's table.
  5. Day by day the king gave Jehoiachin a regular allowance as long as he lived.
  1. 그러자 높은 사람 낮은 사람 할 것 없이 모든 백성들과 군대의 지휘관들이 바빌론 사람들을 두려워하여 이집트로 도망하였다.
  2. 유다 왕 여호야긴이 추방된 지 삼십칠 년 되던 해 십이월 이십칠일, 바빌론 왕 에윌므로닥은 자기가 즉위하던 해에 유다 왕 여호야긴에게 호의를 베풀어 감옥에서 내놓고
  3. 친절히 대우하였다. 또 바빌론에 있던 다른 왕들보다 높은 자리에 앉도록 하였다.
  4. 그리하여 여호야긴은 죄수복을 벗고 은급을 받아 여생을 살았다.
  5. 그가 살아 있는 동안 그의 생계를 잇게 하기 위하여 왕은 그에게 매일 음식을 제공하였다.
