이사야 14:1-16:14

 이사야는 하나님께서 이스라엘을 다시 택하셔서 압제하던 자들을 주관하게 하실 것이며, 안식의 날에 악행을 행하던 바벨론, 앗수르, 블레셋, 모압이 멸망받을 것이라고 예언하였다.
  
  이스라엘의 회복(14:1-14:32)    
 
  1. The LORD will have compassion on Jacob; once again he will choose Israel and will settle them in their own land. Aliens will join them and unite with the house of Jacob.
  2. Nations will take them and bring them to their own place. And the house of Israel will possess the nations as menservants and maidservants in the LORD's land. They will make captives of their captors and rule over their oppressors.
  3. On the day the LORD gives you relief from suffering and turmoil and cruel bondage,
  4. you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon: How the oppressor has come to an end! How his fury has ended!
  5. The LORD has broken the rod of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers,
  1. 야훼께서는 진정 야곱을 불쌍히 여기시고 이스라엘을 다시 빼내어 고향에 돌아가 자리잡게 하시리라. 정처없이 떠돌던 사람들이 그들을 따라와 야곱의 집에 몸을 의탁하고
  2. 모든 민족들이 이스라엘을 고향으로 인도할 터인데, 이스라엘 가문은 야훼의 땅에서 그들을 남종과 여종으로 삼으리라. 그리하여 이스라엘은 자기들을 사로잡았던 자들을 사로잡고, 자기들을 학대하던 자들을 다스리게 되리라.
  3. 야훼께서 너 이스라엘의 괴로움과 불안과 또 네가 당하던 심한 고역에서 너를 풀어주시고 너에게 안식을 주시는 날,
  4. 너는 바빌론 왕에게 소리 높여 풍자의 노래를 불러주어라. 웬일이냐, 폭군이 죽다니, 그 시퍼런 서슬이 사라지다니.
  5. 야훼께서 꺾으셨구나 악당들의 막대기와 군주들의 지팡이를!
  1. which in anger struck down peoples with unceasing blows, and in fury subdued nations with relentless aggression.
  2. All the lands are at rest and at peace; they break into singing.
  3. Even the pine trees and the cedars of Lebanon exult over you and say, "Now that you have been laid low, no woodsman comes to cut us down."
  4. The grave below is all astir to meet you at your coming; it rouses the spirits of the departed to greet you-- all those who were leaders in the world; it makes them rise from their thrones-- all those who were kings over the nations.
  5. They will all respond, they will say to you, "You also have become weak, as we are; you have become like us."
  1. 성이 나서 백성들을 치고 또 치더니 화가 나서 민족들을 짓밟고 또 짓밟더니,
  2. 이제 온 세상이 한숨 돌리고 평온해져 모두들 환성을 올리게 되었구나.
  3. 삼나무와 레바논의 송백까지도 네가 망한 것을 보고 손뼉치며 네가 쓰러진 후에는, 아무도 저희를 찍으러 올라오지 않는다고 좋아하는구나.
  4. 저 땅 밑 저승은 너를 맞기 위하여 들떠 있고 한때 세상을 주름잡던 자들의 망령을 모두 깨우며 모든 민족의 왕들을 그 보좌에서 일어나게 하는구나.
  5. 그들이 너에게 하는 말을 들어라. "너도 우리처럼 맥이 빠졌구나. 너도 우리와 같은 신세가 되었구나.
  1. All your pomp has been brought down to the grave, along with the noise of your harps; maggots are spread out beneath you and worms cover you.
  2. How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!
  3. You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain.
  4. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High."
  5. But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit.
  1. 너의 위세가 거문고 소리와 함께 저승으로 떨어졌구나. 구더기를 요로 깔고 벌레를 이불로 덮었구나.
  2. 웬일이냐, 너 새벽 여신의 아들 샛별아, 네가 하늘에서 떨어지다니! 민족들을 짓밟던 네가 찍혀서 땅에 넘어지다니!
  3. 네가 속으로 이런 생각을 하지 아니하였더냐? '내가 하늘에 오르리라. 나의 보좌를 저 높은 하느님의 별들 위에 두고 신들의 회의장이 있는 저 북극산에 자리잡으리라.
  4. 나는 저 구름 꼭대기에 올라가 가장 높으신 분처럼 되리라.'
  5. 그런데 네가 저승으로 떨어지고 저 깊은 구렁의 바닥으로 떨어졌구나!"
  1. Those who see you stare at you, they ponder your fate: "Is this the man who shook the earth and made kingdoms tremble,
  2. the man who made the world a desert, who overthrew its cities and would not let his captives go home?"
  3. All the kings of the nations lie in state, each in his own tomb.
  4. But you are cast out of your tomb like a rejected branch; you are covered with the slain, with those pierced by the sword, those who descend to the stones of the pit. Like a corpse trampled underfoot,
  5. you will not join them in burial, for you have destroyed your land and killed your people. The offspring of the wicked will never be mentioned again.
  1. 너를 만나는 사람마다 어이없는 눈초리로 너를 보고 또 보며 말하리라. "이자가 바로 세상을 뒤흔들던 자인가? 나라들을 소란하게 하고
  2. 온 땅을 황무지로 만들며 도시를 헐고 포로를 가두어 두던 그자인가?"
  3. 민족들의 모든 왕은 제각기 화려한 자기의 무덤에 누웠는데
  4. 너는 무덤도 없이 오물처럼 버려져 칼에 찔려 죽은 시체로 뒤덮이고 짓밟힌 송장처럼 웅덩이 속 돌 틈에 던져졌구나.
  5. 네가 네 땅을 폐허로 만들고 네 백성을 모두 죽이더니 무덤에 들어가 선왕들과 어울리지도 못하는구나. 악한 자의 자손은 영원히 이름을 남기지 못하는 법,
  1. Prepare a place to slaughter his sons for the sins of their forefathers; they are not to rise to inherit the land and cover the earth with their cities.
  2. "I will rise up against them," declares the LORD Almighty. "I will cut off from Babylon her name and survivors, her offspring and descendants," declares the LORD.
  3. "I will turn her into a place for owls and into swampland; I will sweep her with the broom of destruction," declares the LORD Almighty.
  4. The LORD Almighty has sworn, "Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand.
  5. I will crush the Assyrian in my land; on my mountains I will trample him down. His yoke will be taken from my people, and his burden removed from their shoulders."
  1. 조상들의 죗값으로 그 자손들을 학살할 채비를 차려라. 그리하여 아예 그들이 일어나 땅을 차지하지 못하고 세상에 널리 퍼져 나가지 못하게 하여라.
  2. 만군의 야훼께서 말씀하신다. "내가 일어나 그들을 치리라. 남아서 바빌론의 이름을 계승할 자, 곧 그 자손과 후손들을 뿌리뽑으리라. 이는 내 말이니 어김이 없다.
  3. 또 나는 그 곳을 고슴도치의 소굴과 물웅덩이로 만들고 파멸의 빗자루로 쓸어버리리라." 만군의 야훼께서 말씀하신다.
  4. 만군의 야훼께서 맹세코 말씀하신다. "내가 생각한 대로 반드시 되고 내가 정한 대로 반드시 이루어진다.
  5. 내가 아시리아를 나의 땅에서 부수고 나의 산 위에서 짓밟아버리리라. 그가 이스라엘에게 씌운 멍에를 벗겨주고 그가 지운 짐을 어깨에서 풀어주리라.
  1. This is the plan determined for the whole world; this is the hand stretched out over all nations.
  2. For the LORD Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?
  3. This oracle came in the year King Ahaz died:
  4. Do not rejoice, all you Philistines, that the rod that struck you is broken; from the root of that snake will spring up a viper, its fruit will be a darting, venomous serpent.
  5. The poorest of the poor will find pasture, and the needy will lie down in safety. But your root I will destroy by famine; it will slay your survivors.
  1. 이렇게 나는 나의 뜻을 온 땅 위에 이루리라. 이렇게 팔을 뻗쳐 모든 백성을 치리라."
  2. 만군의 야훼께서 한번 작정하셨으니 누가 그것을 꺾을 수 있으랴? 그가 한번 팔을 펴시니 누가 감히 거두어들이게 할 수 있으랴?
  3. 이는 아하즈 왕이 죽던 해에 내려진 선언이다.
  4. 모든 불레셋 사람들아, 너를 치던 지팡이가 부러졌다고 기뻐하지 마라. 뱀의 그루터기에서 독사가 나오는 수도 있고 그 종자는 날으는 불뱀이 되는 수도 있지 않느냐?
  5. 내 땅에서는 영세민도 배불리 먹고 가난한 자들도 마음놓고 쉬리라. 그러나 나는 너의 자손을 굶어 죽게 하겠으며 그리고 남은 자도 내가 죽이리라.
  1. Wail, O gate! Howl, O city! Melt away, all you Philistines! A cloud of smoke comes from the north, and there is not a straggler in its ranks.
  2. What answer shall be given to the envoys of that nation? "The LORD has established Zion, and in her his afflicted people will find refuge."
  1. 성문아, 통곡하여라. 도시야, 부르짖어라. 모든 불레셋 사람들아, 부들부들 떨어라. 침략자가 북쪽에서 내려오는데 그 대열에서는 한 사람도 낙오하지 않는구나.
  2. 불레셋 특사들에게 무엇이라고 대답할 것인가? "야훼께서 시온을 든든히 세우셨으니 그의 백성 중 천민들도 그 안에 피난할 수 있다." 하여라.
 
  모압에 대한 경고(15:1-16:14)    
 
  1. An oracle concerning Moab: Ar in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night! Kir in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night!
  2. Dibon goes up to its temple, to its high places to weep; Moab wails over Nebo and Medeba. Every head is shaved and every beard cut off.
  3. In the streets they wear sackcloth; on the roofs and in the public squares they all wail, prostrate with weeping.
  4. Heshbon and Elealeh cry out, their voices are heard all the way to Jahaz. Therefore the armed men of Moab cry out, and their hearts are faint.
  5. My heart cries out over Moab; her fugitives flee as far as Zoar, as far as Eglath Shelishiyah. They go up the way to Luhith, weeping as they go; on the road to Horonaim they lament their destruction.
  1. 모압에 이런 선언이 내려졌다. 아르가 침략당하던 밤에 모압이 거꾸러졌다. 키르가 침략당하던 밤에 모압이 거꾸러졌다.
  2. 사람들이 디본의 신전으로 올라가고 제사 지내는 언덕으로 곡하러 올라간다. 모압은 느보 산 위에서, 메드바에서 통곡하고 모두들 머리를 밀고 수염을 깎는다.
  3. 길거리에서 삼베를 허리에 두르고 지붕에 올라가서 통곡한다. 모두들 광장에서 통곡하니 눈물이 바다를 이루는구나.
  4. 헤스본과 엘랄레가 소리지르니 그 소리가 야하스에까지 들린다. 모압은 온통 몸을 떨고 그 속까지 부들부들 떨고 있다.
  5. 모압은 제 모양을 보고 마음이 아파 그 피난민은 소알로 피하여 울면서 루힛의 언덕길을 올라가고 호로나임 길에서 비통하게 울부짖는다.
  1. The waters of Nimrim are dried up and the grass is withered; the vegetation is gone and nothing green is left.
  2. So the wealth they have acquired and stored up they carry away over the Ravine of the Poplars.
  3. Their outcry echoes along the border of Moab; their wailing reaches as far as Eglaim, their lamentation as far as Beer Elim.
  4. Dimon's waters are full of blood, but I will bring still more upon Dimon -- a lion upon the fugitives of Moab and upon those who remain in the land.
  1. 아, 니므림의 물이 말라 사막이 되어 풀은 시들고 목초는 타서 푸성귀란 볼 수가 없구나.
  2. 남겨두고 쌓아두었던 것을 가지고 사람들은 버들개울을 건너간다.
  3. 그들의 아우성이 모압 온 땅에 사무치고 그들의 곡성이 에글라임에까지 이르니 엘림 샘터까지 그 곡성이 울려 퍼지는구나.
  4. 디본의 물줄기마다 피가 가득하리니 디본에게 내리는 또 하나 다른 재앙으로 사자를 보내어 모압의 피난민들과 그 땅에 살아 남은 자들을 찢게 하리라.
 
 
  1. Send lambs as tribute to the ruler of the land, from Sela, across the desert, to the mount of the Daughter of Zion.
  2. Like fluttering birds pushed from the nest, so are the women of Moab at the fords of the Arnon.
  3. "Give us counsel, render a decision. Make your shadow like night-- at high noon. Hide the fugitives, do not betray the refugees.
  4. Let the Moabite fugitives stay with you; be their shelter from the destroyer." The oppressor will come to an end, and destruction will cease; the aggressor will vanish from the land.
  5. In love a throne will be established; in faithfulness a man will sit on it-- one from the house of David-- one who in judging seeks justice and speeds the cause of righteousness.
  1. 너희는 선물로 어린 양들을 보내어라. 이 땅을 다스리는 자에게 셀라에서 광야를 거쳐 수도 시온의 산으로 어린 양들을 보내어라.
  2. 허둥거리며 떠도는 새들처럼 보금자리에서 쫓겨난 새끼 새들처럼 모압의 딸들이 아르논의 나루터에서 갈팡질팡하는구나.
  3. 너, 유다는 생각을 모아 결단하여라. 대낮에도 밤처럼 너의 그늘을 드리워 쫓기는 그들을 숨겨주고 피난민을 가려주어라.
  4. 모압에서 쫓겨난 자들을 너와 함께 살게 하고 그들의 피난처가 되어 침략자를 피하게 하여라. 억누르던 자가 없어져 침략이 멎고 마구 짓밟던 자들이 이 땅에서 사라질 때,
  5. 선의를 바탕으로 한 보좌가 서리라. 법을 지키고 정의로 신속히 판결을 내리는 자가 다윗의 장막 안에 있는 그 보좌에 진실한 마음가짐으로 앉으리라.
  1. We have heard of Moab's pride-- her overweening pride and conceit, her pride and her insolence-- but her boasts are empty.
  2. Therefore the Moabites wail, they wail together for Moab. Lament and grieve for the men of Kir Hareseth.
  3. The fields of Heshbon wither, the vines of Sibmah also. The rulers of the nations have trampled down the choicest vines, which once reached Jazer and spread toward the desert. Their shoots spread out and went as far as the sea.
  4. So I weep, as Jazer weeps, for the vines of Sibmah. O Heshbon, O Elealeh, I drench you with tears! The shouts of joy over your ripened fruit and over your harvests have been stilled.
  5. Joy and gladness are taken away from the orchards; no one sings or shouts in the vineyards; no one treads out wine at the presses, for I have put an end to the shouting.
  1. 모압이 건방지다는 말을 우리는 들었다. 뽐내고 우쭐대고 허풍치며 매우 건방지다는 말을.
  2. 그러니 어찌 모압 사람들이 나라가 망하는 것을 슬퍼하여 모두 함께 애곡하지 않겠는가? 키르하레셋에서 먹던 건포도과자 생각으로 가슴이 메게 탄식하리라.
  3. 헤스본은 폐허가 되고 시브마의 포도덩굴은 시들리라. 모든 나라 군주들이 그 싱싱한 포도송이에 도취했었고 한때 그 덩굴이 야젤을 지나 광야로 뻗어 나갔으며 그 순은 자라나 사해에까지 뻗었건만......
  4. 나 이제 야젤 주민과 함께 시브마의 포도덩굴이 죽는 것을 보고 운다. 헤스본아, 엘랄레야, 네가 나의 눈물에 젖으리라. 여름 과일을 거두고 포도를 막 따려는데 전쟁의 함성이 일어
  5. 넘치는 기쁨과 흥을 과수원에서 앗아가니 포도원에서는 흥겹고 즐거운 노래도 그치고 술틀을 밟아 포도를 짤 때 부르는 흥겨운 노래 또한 사라졌구나.
  1. My heart laments for Moab like a harp, my inmost being for Kir Hareseth.
  2. When Moab appears at her high place, she only wears herself out; when she goes to her shrine to pray, it is to no avail.
  3. This is the word the LORD has already spoken concerning Moab.
  4. But now the LORD says: "Within three years, as a servant bound by contract would count them, Moab's splendor and all her many people will be despised, and her survivors will be very few and feeble."
  1. 모압 때문에 나의 내장은 수금처럼 떨리고 키르하레셋 때문에 간장이 녹는다.
  2. 모압 사람들이 제사지내는 언덕에 올라 안간힘을 다 쓰고 성소에 올라가 아무리 빌어도 소용이 없으리라.
  3. 이것이 전에 야훼께서 모압이 어찌 될 것인지 일러주신 말씀이다.
  4. 이제 다시 야훼께서 말씀하신다. "아무리 무리가 많아도 모압의 위세는 머슴살이 기한인 삼 년 안에 짓밟힐 것이니 남은 자라야 얼마 되지도 않고 보잘것도 없으리라."
